Our website includes the shipping charges when it calculates the sales tax but our QB is set up to exclude it. Where can I change the sales tax option to include shipping charges in the subtotal that the sales tax is using to calculate?
https://uimn.org/employers/employer-account/news-updates/overview-tax-rates.jsp When will payroll tax settings include the option of the new MN UI additional assessment of 5%? Why is QB payroll behind on this???

Trying to add a sales tax rate for a new city in California who I am doing business with. When I click on "sales tax" in the "taxes" tab, I receive the following message ... FaultInfo xmlns="http://www.intuit.com/sb/cdm/baseexceptionmodel/xsd"><Message>AuthenticationFailed;;</Message><ErrorCode>401</ErrorCode><Cause>SERVER</Cause></FaultInfo> How to remedy?
So with this Self-Employed Turbo Tax Bundle you can import your data into turbo tax and you get to file your taxes at the end of year for free? The turbo tax self employed bundle on their website costs like $150 so I’m wondering if with this bundle, I can file all the necessary forms and get a refund for free? Isn’t that what this bundle says?
It's still broken. See case xxxxxxxxxxx on your side, Intuit/QB Team. I recreated the issue with a support member on the phone. Then a few days later got a message saying they couldn't recreate it. Here's an easy way to recreate it. 1. Set up an item as not taxable. 2. Set up a customer as NOT tax exempt. Make sure they're in a taxable state like Wisconsin. 3. Create an invoice using the item created in step #1. Make sure the ship to is a taxable state (like Wisconsin). 4. The item should not be checked as taxable as the item itself is set up as not taxable. This is correct. 5. Check the taxable column on the item in the invoice. 6. Watch the "taxable subtotal" change to the correct amount. 7. Set sales tax to "automatic" 8. Notice no sales tax is calculated. It's a HUGE problem. I will not call in again and waste an hour to do this again. F
Why is QB stating I need to pay April 941 tax.. I did not issue a paycheck in April
Please help.
I efiled my 941 tax deposit but it was set to be withdrawn on a holiday (I'm guessing) and it was rejected. I've just now noticed it when it wasn't on my bank statement. Is there a way I can re-file this through Quickbooks payroll?
I see there are several people out there with sales tax issues, but this is the first report this year that has not worked for me.
I am the lone employee of my LLC. My company processes payroll weekly, and although there are weeks when I do not pay myself, I rarely have a quarter where I do not pay myself. When I generate my quarterly 941, Quickbooks fills in Line 1 "number of employees" with 0. At the same time, it recognizes all payroll transactions and correctly fills in payroll obligations and payments. Should I override the 0 to 1 before I submit the form? Why is Quickbooks not showing 1 employee?
We’re moving from Avalara to QBO’s sales tax module. I read that after switching, reopening an unpaid invoice might cause the sales tax to change. I assume this happens if the tax codes don’t match exactly between systems. Has anyone experienced this? If so, was it due to mismatched or incorrect tax codes, or how did you resolve it?
I have been receiving IRS notifications for months saying that I owe them money and they are going to levy property! I have emailed this quickbooks generic email each time I received a notice and months have passed - no one has helped at all. How can this be legal? You make mistakes, cost peoples thousands of dollars and get to just ignore us? How do I get someone to assist correct the issues?
Help to take PFML tax our, since we are exempt?
Monthly I pay federal and maryland withholdings. They show up on my check register the day I set it up with the payment date to be paid. My federal showed up to be be paid May 15 but the state has not. Ive been doing this years and it has never done that.
The Tax menu tab simply takes me to that site and will not allow me to go back to QB Online until I reload the site.
Intuit handles my payroll taxes. At the beginning of this year you began deducting payroll tax amounts ahead of time out of my bank account. The quarterly taxes were due yesterday yet today I am seeing my Maine PFML and my AL taxes are not paid, when I log into the sites it shows a balance due. If you are going to deduct money from me that could be sitting and collecting interest in my account then there should never be a situation where taxes show as unpaid after the date they are due. Please advise.
We just switched to QuickBooks Online and I noticed when doing a preview of our W-2's that the Cares Act and Paid Family Leave are not broken out separately anywhere. I checked with the QuickBooks help desk and they say it is not required to show the breakout on the W-2's at this time so they don't do it. Does anyone have a recommendation of a supplemental software that does do it, or do you just run a separate report for each employee at the end of the year to show the total of their contributions? Thank you, Desiree
