Congratulations on making your first post here in the Community, @PattyKeehn.

I recognize your desire to remove the sales tax line from your invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO), as it would be beneficial for your business.

To begin, QuickBooks uses the taxable status of a customer to determine whether sales tax should be applied to their transactions. When a customer is set up as taxable, QuickBooks automatically calculates the appropriate sales tax based on the items and services sold.

The tax line is shown on your invoices to provide transparency and ensure compliance with tax regulations, showing the customer the breakdown of their charges, including any taxes applied. This feature helps businesses accurately report sales tax collected and comply with local tax laws.

However, if you wish to prevent the tax line from appearing on your invoices in QuickBooks, you can do so by unticking the "Tax" box in the invoice tab. However, this action will stop QuickBooks from calculating sales tax for that specific customer on the invoice. It is essential to ensure that this aligns with your tax obligations and business practices to avoid compliance issues.

Due to the unavailability of this feature, we encourage you to share your feedback with our Product Development team. While we do not have a specific timeline for its implementation, your suggestions are important to us. The team will carefully consider your input and strive to address your business needs effectively. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
