Payroll Tax Tab

Our payroll account is no longer active. However, the 'automated taxes and forms' is ON.

I tried to change the setting in the 'taxes and forms' under payroll settings, but I keep getting the attached message.

We have already paid & are still currently paying these manually ourselves. We do not want to be charged by Quickbooks to do so as well.

As of right now, it is saying that 'Quickbooks will pay & file our taxes when they are due'.

How can we get this corrected?

Thanks for letting us know about the trouble you're experiencing when changing the Taxes and forms setup from the Payroll Settings page, Lisa. I also appreciate the details you provided. Our team is committed to resolving this quickly so you can return to business and focus on what you do best!

When your payroll account is inactive, you won’t be able to modify your setup. If you happen to be charged for automated payments and tax filings, I suggest reaching out to our Payroll Live Support team. They will gather the necessary details to help resolve the issue and guide you on the next steps. Here’s how you can connect with them:

  1. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  2. Select the Assistant tab to get help from the QB assistant, or select the Search tab to enter your question and find Help articles.
  3. If you choose the Search tab, enter keywords or the topic that best describes your issue and click the Contact Us button.
  4. Choose a way to connect (Have us call you or Chat with us) in the How would you like to connect with us? page.

Additionally, QuickBooks offers a variety of financial reports to help you gain a quick overview of your business performance and make informed decisions. To generate one, check out this article for the step-by-step guide: Run a report in QuickBooks Online.

I truly appreciate your patience as we work through this, Lisa. If there's anything else you need or if you have more questions about the Payroll Tax tab, don’t hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help! Take care, and keep up your ongoing success!
