Printng and Filing Annual W2 forms with QB Desktop Pro 2024 with Enhanced Payroll - QuickBooks closes

I am using QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2024 with Enhanced Payroll. I am trying to create and file the Annual W2 form and every time I click create form the window pops up to verify number of employees and tax year, as soon as I hit "ok" QuickBooks closes. I have called support, uninstalled and reinstalled QB, I have run the File Doctor, and Tool Hub, and updated my  Windows and nothing has been resolved. With the deadline for filing fast approaching I'm looking for any and all help.

Log in to CAMPS and check your license status. Are both Active?

  1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. At the top menu bar, click on Help.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select Manage My License and then My License Information. (This will display the current status of your QuickBooks Desktop license.)

 

To check your Payroll Service Status, here is how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Employees menu at the top of your QuickBooks.
  2. Select My Payroll Service from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on Account/Billing Information or Manage Service Key. This will direct you to the QuickBooks Payroll Service Account Maintenance page where you can view the status of your Enhanced Payroll subscription.

 

If neither of these services is activated, you will need to renew and reactivate them in order to utilize these functionalities seamlessly.

 

Moreover, you can also consider updating your QuickBooks to its latest version and ensure that your tax table is updated. This way, you can avoid any issue when processing your payroll. To do so, here's how:

 

  1. Go to Employees, then select Get Payroll Updates.
  2. To get the latest tax table:
    1. Select Download Entire Update.
    2. Select Update. An informational window appears when the download is complete.

Dandi_A, thank you for the input. Unfortunately after ensuring everything is active and updated I am still being kicked out QuickBooks when trying to create Annual Form W2.
