So with this Self-Employed Turbo Tax Bundle you can import your data into turbo tax and you get to file your taxes at the end of year for free? The turbo tax self employed bundle on their website costs like $150 so I’m wondering if with this bundle, I can file all the necessary forms and get a refund for free? Isn’t that what this bundle says?

Let me share some insight about how Self-Employed + TurboTax Bundle works, @exzolux.

The Tax Bundle is a subscription for both QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed. This gives you an easy way to send your Schedule C data to TurboTax so you can file your taxes.

Moreover, a bundle subscription will waive the federal filing fees, plus one state return. For this to work, make sure to use the same username and password as you log in to both your QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed accounts.

For more information about the QuickBooks Self-Employed + TurboTax Bundle, you can visit this article: QuickBooksTax Bundle and how to upgrade.

Everything you need to about managing taxes including how QBSE calculates your taxes and what you'll need to do with a tax return can be found in the following articles:

So I won’t have to pay $150 on turbo tax to do my self employed taxes at the end? Is that what this bundle includes? Let’s say I pay for it each month, I’ll have a free filing (annual return) each year? I’ll be able to easily file my taxes with this bundle?

I have a question, I my wife and I have been using turbo tax for several years now to fill our taxes, now that I am self-employed, can I use this bundle to file my self-employed taxes as well as entering my wife tax info so we can still file jointly? Or are we going to have to file separately? I currently have a turbo tax login .

I can share some information about having our bundle subscription, @perrysrenovation

You can file jointly if you only need one schedule C and submit one 1040-ES form.

A QuickBooks Self-Employed account can only generate one schedule C and submit one 1040-ES form. In your Tax Profile, you can set it as married and filing jointly.

Here's how to update your tax profile:

  1. Go to the Gear icon () and proceed to the Tax profile.
  2. In the Tax settings drop-down, select the tax year.
  3. Update all the necessary information.
  4. Click on Save.

See this article for more information: Review your tax profile in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you subscribe to our Tax bundle, you can make online payment for federal estimated quarterly taxes. Also, e-file one state and one federal return without filing fees.

Also, you can only sync your existing TurboTax Self-Employed and QuickBooks Self-Employed account if you use same log-in credentials for both accounts.

Check these articles for more information:

  5. Click It's OK to send my info to send your information to TurboTax.

Take note as well that you can only send data from QuickBooks Self-Employed to TurboTax Self-Employed if you use the same sign-in info for both accounts.

I am totally locked out of my account as of today. It does not even give me the option to talk to an assistant or view my billing subscription. It says my subscription expired back in July, but I never received notifications in my Quickbooks or email ever (then or yesterday) before my account was locked. I also thought I had the free account until April 2021.

I have been paying for quickbooks self employed turbo tax bundle, but can not find a way to start our turbo tax return. When I go to turbo tax I end up at a window that wants me to buy another product.  Help!!!

I got your back, @mthann.

To isolate the issue, you can perform basic browser troubleshooting steps to determine if it is a browser-related problem.

Let's start with accessing your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account on an incognito mode to have a clean slate. Private browsers do not store cache and data files that might cause issues when running websites. Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • MS Edge and Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

Once signed in, start our TurboTax return again. If this works, clear the cache of your regular browser. This will remove old files to refresh the background processes of your browser. If the same thing happens, you can use another supported browser. To optimize your QBSE experience, we always have to ensure that your system meets the required requirements to run the program.

However, if the issue persists, I highly recommend reaching out to our Customer Care team. They use specific tools to pull up your account and check your subscription status. They can also provide additional steps to resolve the issue so you can file your TurboTax return.

Also, running reports to get your federal estimated quarterly tax payment and annual tax info is easy in QBSE. To get started, please see the instructions in this article: Get quarterly and annual tax info from QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm always around if you have any other concerns about processing your TurboTax return. Don't hesitate to add a comment below. Take care.

When I log into my intuit account, it does not show 2021 as one of my products. Even though I have been paying to the "self employed tax bundle"

February 27, 2022

I upgraded to Quickbooks & TurboTax self-employed bundle in 2021. My account shows my subscription continues to be automatically renewed and charged monthly. When I was ready to file my annual Federal and State tax today, I was charged ($150) TurboTax fees to file. When I live chatted with TurboTax today to ask, I was told the subscription ended in 2021. what is going on? I don’t feel I should be charged for filling my annual taxes since I been paying the monthly subscription. I was never informed of the subscription not being offered anymore.

February 27, 2022

Let me share what I know and make sure we address your concerns for today, elmo6215.

The Tax Bundle is a subscription for both QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed. This allows you to easily send your Schedule C data to TurboTax so you can file your taxes.

Additionally, the bundle subscription will waive the federal filing fees, plus one state return. Just make sure to use the same username and password as you log in to both your QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed accounts.

For more details about the bundle subscription, you can check out this article: Upgrade to the QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed bundle.

I also suggest contacting our Support Team to help you check your account and review those charges.

Feel free to let me know if you still have follow-up questions or any tax-related concerns. I'm always here to help. Have a great day!

February 27, 2022

When I subscribed to the bundle in 2021, it didn’t allow me to use the same TurboTax username so my Quickbooks self-employed’s username is my email address but password for both accounts are the same.
