I truly appreciate your patience and time waiting to access your account, Pjlight. QuickBooks Online (QBO) has a load time of 10 seconds, and we constantly monitor our systems to ensure we meet this goal. Allow me to provide some tips to improve QBO performance.

QBO is a web-based program. We need to check your device's processing power, internet connection, and the amount of available memory (RAM). Here are the tips to improve its performance:

  • Intuit recommends Chrome to get the best experience possible. If you're already using it, update to the latest release by going to the Chrome menu and selecting Help, then About Google Chrome.
  • Make sure that your operating system is current and that it meets or surpasses the System Requirements for QuickBooks Online.
  • Check your internet speed (bandwidth) does not limit your QBO experience. Conduct a Google Speed Test to assess your bandwidth/connection speed. To better understand the test results of the Google Speed Test, be sure to read over how the results are determined and what they mean.

To learn more about how these factors affect QBO's performance, check out this article: Why is my QuickBooks Online Slow?

Once QuickBooks runs smoothly, you can proceed with your QBO tasks. You can use the resources on this website for additional guidance: Watch step-by-step videos to learn your way around QuickBooks.

@pjlighthaulage

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

@pjlighthaulage  While it shouldn't be taking 10 minutes, don't get your hopes up; QBO is never going to move at acceptable speeds.

That 10 second loading time a staff member mentioned was by no means hyperbole.
