Hello, I am trying to reconcile an account but cannot figure out why I have a difference. The account says there's a difference of $61,661.66 I went through and manually checked each transaction. The account state shows 188 payments and 89 deposits. Same as what QB shows. The only thing I can think of is if an older transaction was changed from (C) cleared status to (R) reconciled? The account doesn't have any discrepancies but still shows this difference. I checked the activity log to see if I could trace which transactions would have caused this but it doesn't show those kind of edits. is there anyway I could create a journal entry to fix this issue?
I use tags to categorize bank and credit card transactions into different budget buckets. With tags going away I have tried to add a custom field, but have had no luck. Is there a way to add custom fields to bank transactions for all my company expenses? If not, is there another mechanism to achieve the same outcome as tags do currently in banking transactions?
QuickBooks calculates our state unemployment insurance at the correct rate, but it does not round the total as our state does. E.g., QuickBooks totals all UI liabilities to $494.78, but my state only charges me $494. This creates a discrepancy of <$1 every quarter. Consequently, I cannot reconcile that account, and our payroll tax center shows multiple small overpayments. What is the best practice to account for these past payments? How should I record these going forward? Should I mark that item as paid, then go and edit the amount in the payroll tax center's payment history? This has allowed me to match my bank transactions to the UI payments, but it leads to the aforementioned reconciliation and overpayment issue.
I am trying to reconcile my Quickbook Checking Account using my statement from Green Dot/ QB. I use the envelopes heavily, transferring money into/out of envelopes. When I download the statement and try to reconcile, the downloaded statement includes the envelope transfers but the reconcile report in QB does not. I am not sure how to reconcile since they do not match. Suggestions?

Our old bank merged with a new bank, after adding the new bank in the feed it dowloaded all the old transactions from the old bank that were already matched and reconciled.
Good evening, I currently use QBO. I use Shopify POS as my point of sale system, within Shopify, I have an app called A2X that I push my payouts into QuickBooks Online in the form of a Journal Entry. When the credit card transactions get sent over, they auto match together without a problem. However, when I do my cash & check payouts, the journal entry is created but it is not matching up with the bank deposit. I see the Deposit on the banking screen, click on "find match" choose "journal entries" but nothing is found. I can also find the individual journal entry that matches the amount of the deposit but I cannot find a way to link them together. Anyone know how I can get them to match and/or get the journal entries to pull up when I try to find the match since it isn't finding them on its own to suggest it? Thank you!Jessica
Cash sales in Shopify are not showing up in our bank account when we add the App Transaction in Quickbooks online. When we add the credit card payout from shopify in the app transactions it will deposit it into our bank account.

Bank connection issue
Hi, Yet another Quickbooks Online issue.QBO is driving me crazy where it is constantly overriding my manually assigned check numbers. I will enter the check, uncheck "Print Later", assign the number, and then go to Print the check. And before I print, QBO says something like, "this check number has already been assigned, use this number?"So I go back to Checking and pull up the check and the check number has in fact been reverted to a previous wrong number. Then I get stuck in an endless loop of assigning the number, trying to print, having QBO re-assign the number automatically. The only way to work it out is to print the check number "wrong" and then go back and manually enter the correct check number and then hit Save, then go onto the next check. Please advise if there is a solution to this.
I am unable to import my OFX files, currently using Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2017. Has there been a change where it is no longer supported? Was there a change on 5/31/2020? How do I fix this?
connect a replacement credit card to a pre-existing credit card account
My QuickBooks is linked to my bank account, but the transactions only go back to January 01, 2025. I called my bank and they told me to download the previous statements I need back to August 01, 2023. Once I email them to my QuickBooks account, how do I link them to reconcile the bank transactions?
I have put in my sign in information for my bank close to 20 times and keep getting an error message saying the sign in information is incorrect. Ive changed the password in my bank just to verify and it's still not allowing me to connect the account to quickbooks. Its definitely an error on Quickbooks side but it keeps pushing it back saying theres an error with the bank sign in.
I would like to match the actual EFT payments imported from bank interface to the sales tax payments manually recorded in tax center. bank transaction matching doesn't have visibility to those manually created tax payments so i have extraneous bank transactions that I don't want to exclude from categorization due to requirement to record all bank transactions in ledger. how do i match the duplicate payment transactions.
Hello, We have rentals and before I found the right method to keep track of properties, I created separate "sub-bank" accounts for each property. We only have one bank account for all expenses. It was just for one year back in 2019 but all these separate bank accounts still show having money and I want to get rid of them. Is it going to be a huge pain to merge all the accounts? am I able to only re-reconcile that one year or am I going to have do the entire last 6 years?
QB is showing $262,660.41 in subtractions. Statement has $11,025.19 for 30 days. Verified starting date & ending date are correct. Why would this happen?
