I have an employee who has resigned and has a negative annual leave balance. As the negative balance has to be recouped, how do i record this when running the final pay.
My husband took out a personal loan at the bank, he deposited the money into the business and withdrew the cash to pay for a vehicle. The business is paying the loan back to the bank. How do I record all of this into QuickBooks?
Why does it not allow you to add another email addreses when putting in the new customer details?You can add them manually once you open the customer for an invoice/quote.
Hi Friends, For a month, I did not pay to my casual employee because they were not available to work. My question isabout pay lodgment to ATO. 1- Should I lodge it as 0.00 pay run? OR I shouldn't do anything? 2- Should I get any problem with ATO if I didn't report 0.00 pay run? Harry
I cannot adjust rows in quickbooks online by dollar amounts or %'s as we could in QBDesktop. We have seasonal changes to just making each month the same number is worthless for us. Can QBO please allow rows in budgets by %'s or $? Please. Otherwise we have to take each row and manually do the math and adjust each month this way. We have 256 categories in QB. so that is 3072.00 individual calculations to have a workable budget we can use. Please please please change this.
I've created a quote for services over 12 months. This has been accepted by the client, contract signed, and is based on billing each month. How do I show this as A/R on my balance sheet? Do I have to create 12 separate invoices now with invoice dates for each month? My preference is to show the the total contract amout as A/R, and generate invoices monthly as they're due. Seeking clarity on how to manage this (as it will be ongoing with the nature of my work).GW
Can anyone advise why an existing annual subscription including 1 payroll is $544.99 but a new subscriber taking the same is only charged $459.29?I am unsure why there a penalty for remaining a loyal customer.Why do I continue to pay annually as opposed to lapsing for a day and then getting the lower price as a new subscriber?I believe the data is available as long as I have a current subscription or is that not true do I have to have a continuing subscription ?

I believe I made the wrong account for our company. I made an Accountant profile and uploaded all of our customers and created invoices on there, realizing that I am no accountant and only need a small business account. Can I transfer data between the two?
For many years--we've used QBO since it was new!--we've had no issues with our sales tax settings. We automatically process about 50-75 invoices per day. (Most pay via credit card--auto-charged). The recent change in the sales tax setting has put us out of compliance with our states sales tax laws. We are an origin-based sales tax state. The update automatically calculates sales tax based on customer address. This is not correct in our state, and I don't feel that we, as a small business should incur the additional labor/time to manually check and change this every day. There should be a setting for this. OR, as the QBO description says--from QBO explanation: QuickBooks knows the tax rules, wherever you run your business.This has not proven to be true. Our rates were all changed, which makes us non-compliant with our state's tax laws. When will this be remedied?
Hi,I have a client that receives a bill from a vendor and passes those charges to a customer at a higher rate.My client is wanting a report that show the bills they receive from a specific vendor and the invoices they bill their customers for those services. I have tried running a transaction detail by account report and customize from there, but it is not showing me both bills and invoices. Am I running the wrong report or can this report even be done?

There must have been an update or something that was pushed recently - all of a sudden the "split transaction" screen on the "Banking - for review" page is vertical and way too narrow for me to see the GL name I have selected. Is there a way to make it go back to the way it was, horizontal? I have multiple Notes Payable accounts for example - Notes Payable Chase, Notes Payable Lightstream, Notes Payable Huntington and so on - all I see in Split screen now is "Notes payab" - so I have to keep clicking on the GL to verify I have the right one selected, but I should be able to see this at a glance. If there is no way to go back to the vertical version of split screen, QBO needs to MAKE SURE we can fully see our GL names, this is extremely frustrating how a new update unnecessarily makes our accountants' jobs harder
We have three different membership types for our members and I'm looking at how I can add this information to their 'Donor' information for the purpose of doing the annual membership fees.We have Individual members at $5, NFP or Charity Orgs at $20, For Profit Orgs for $50.Is there a way I can tag or have a field in their donor record so that when the annual payments are due, I can create a 3 batches of invoices - one for Individual membership, one for NFP/Charity and one or For Profit invoices?I have created the three membership types in the products/services, just need to work out how I easily identify which donor has which type of membership they are to be billed for.
I have Approval Status Pending on Finalise Payroll but cannot see how I can authorise this. The lodgement details say it is successful but not under approval details.When I check in the ATO website the employees are still pending.Can you please help
Received advice from Intuit that I need to update my ANZ feeds. Tried following this article: How to upgrade to ANZ direct feeds (intuit.com) but when I do so, QB advises 'The account number is already enrolled in direct feeds'. Do I un-enrole existing feed, and if so, how? Will this potentially miss transactions when I re-connect with the new feed? Can anyone advise as I can see no guidance online for this. CheersCameron

So currently there doesn't seem to be an option in QBO App to to send text messages or even to copy the invoice link. Most clients would prefer an sms to an email! The only work around I have found is to open QBO using an internet browser on my phone instead of the QBO App, go into the invoice and on the bottom left hand corner instead of "save and close" choose "copy link" then paste that into my messaging service or sms, and then type out a greeting message with it. Doing it this way seems labor intensive for something that should be available as a button click. And an additional integrated messaging app seems over kill and expensive. Anyone have any better suggestions?
I am currently having serious issues purchase order emails that the supplier says they have not received, yet we also copy the same PO at the same time to ourselves (and we receive it).We send this supplier many Po's per day and it is only one or two (per month) that they say they do not receive (despite us receiving our copy).It happens with PO's that involve the same drop ship customer (we tested today and they did not receive it three times yet we did).We can forward the email PO from our account to them and they receive it fine.We know QB's is sending it out (as we receive it)We know that the supplier receives all other email PO'sThe supplier is blaming QB's and says its not on their email server , its not in any junk or spam folder.It causes us major issues as we assume it has been received and sent out and only when our customer calls to say they haven't received the good s do we determine that the supplier hasn't received it?Any suggestions as to the cause?Thanks
Hi there, we are a school P&C and have received cash donations from all the students that I have deposited into our bank account and then made a bank transfer to a charity for the same amount as a donation to them. What is the best way in Quickbooks to record and account for this? Because technically we only served as the middle man here. Thank you in advance for any help.
Does anyone know why keypay doesn’t integrate with QBA. Everytime when i successfully lodged a pay run, the pay info doesn’t not reflect on my reports such as profit and loss report, balance sheet.

The tax office has changed the company's pay as you go withholding cycle to monthly instead of quarterly on the BAS because it is more than $25,000 for the year. So I must lodge an activity monthly with just the payg witholding amounts.How do I create this Instalment Activity Statement from quickbooks online then show payment of same. thanks
We have Bank Feeds automatically set-up so when a customer pays a deposit i.e Invoice is for $8500 and they are paying an upfront deposit of $1500, how do I match to the invoice through bank feed?
