Can you tell me how to run a report of all Journal entries from1-1-24 to 12-31-24

with the name and date of who made entry.

We can customize a Journal report to show the information you need, @sunny20. I'll walk you through how to do it in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

First, we can pull up a Journal Report to see all transactions made through Journal Entry (JE). From there, let's filter the dates and modify the columns. I'd be glad to show you how:

 

  1. Click the Reports menu, select Reports Center, and search for Journal.
  2. Once the report is open, click the Customize Report from the left part of the report window.
  3. Select the Filters tab and modify the information such as the Name and transaction Date from 01/01/2024 to 12/31/2024.
  4. Tick OK to save the changes.

I don't have a question about set-up.  I have a question about tax filings and either need a response to my email or a number to call for customer support.  You provide a number for sales but you are awful with supporting those who have purchased your service.  Your lack of customer service is a disgrace!

Hey im trying to figure out why my accountant can see my account but I cannot, I believe there are two companies in my account and I need to know how to switch back and forth between them. I pay to have QB send all my employees W2's by Mail.  However, none of my employees have received them, while QB is saying sent on Jan 10th under payroll tax section, Please advise, thank you!

The sent status shown under the Payroll tax section is for the W-2 filing, BronsonQ. I can share the delivery time of the forms and ensure your employees receive them promptly so you get the most out of the service payment.

 

We'll mail the W-2s to your employees' mailing addresses via USPS starting January 16 through January 31. You'll want to check with them to confirm their mailing addresses are correct. Please also know that this service relies on external vendors for printing and distribution. 

 

Additionally, you can contact our live support for further assistance about the W-2 delivery for your employees. They have the specific tools to provide updates regarding the process. Otherwise, consider printing and mailing them yourself. Since this is because they did not get the original W-2, write REISSUED STATEMENT on the top and include a copy of the W-2 instructions. Follow the instructions below:

 

  1. Go to the Taxes menu, then select Payroll Tax.
  2. Navigate to the Filings tab, click Resources, then W-2s
  3. Review the list of employees who opted for a printed copy.
  4. Choose View or Manage on the copy you need:
    • W-3 Summary Transmittal of Wage and Tax Statements
    • W-2, Copies B, C & 2 (employee)
    • W-2, Copies A & D (employer)
  5. Click View and print
  6. Hover your mouse to the Print icon, then Print
