Hello QB users, I’m going through a truly terrible mess with QBO customer service. Their departments are completely disconnected, disorganized, un-trained, they are the worst! Due to improper communication with customer service, they’ve sent me file to a super aggressive collections agency, I got a call back from a Debbie Tier 2, I unfortunately missed her calls, I got an email from her, case closed!! Like what?! I didn’t even speak with her, I’m unable to return her emails and when I call customer service they are totally incapable of transferring. After reading right now and seeing hundreds of businesses going through the same kind of things, they need to be reported to Canada’s consumer protection. My case isn’t resolved and sadly it probably won’t be resolved anytime soon. Now I have to fight both quickbooks and a collections agency. With well trained staff my matter would have been resolved on day 1. I’ve lost time and money trying to deal with incompetence. A
I have a user that does only Accounts Payable. She used to be able to go into the vendor "Pay Bills", select the bills to be paid and adjust the discounts if using a credit to pay a portion of the bill. Now she seems to have lost the permissions to do this as it says "You need "Edit" access under Invoice to perform this action". She has create, print and report access in Purchases and Accounts Payable, Create access in Sensitive Accounting Activities, Create access in Changing or Deleting Transactions. What needs to change?
Any deposits with multiple transactions will not match...keeps saying..We couldn't Match the transaction(s) due to "Were sorry, QuickBooks encountered an error while calculating tax. Try reselecting the tax rate or reentering the product/service item and saving the form again.". Check account mapping in advanced settings and try again.
Our employees are part of a union. We have just been informed that we now need to send the employees accrued vacation pay to the union for distribution. (is this even aloud?). My question is, how would I adjust these vacation amounts to show the vacation pay going to the union each month?
Building cabinets. I keep everything we buy in Item Lists, some are purchased for particular customers and allocated to that customer, but many are just purchased in bulk and then used without allocating. I can't do really true product costing without knowing how much of the bulk items are used in each project. So I converted the ones I needed to Inventory Items from Non-Inventory Items. This database is 5 years old - QB took the quantities of the last 5 years purchases of everything I converted to Inventory and set that up in an Inventory Asset account with a value that is just not there since those items are long gone. So I thought I could change all the quantities to zero with a date of dec 31 2023 and that value would be negated. Not so - now I have this massive value of inventory that doesn't exist showing in my books and I don't know how to get rid of it and start from 0 where I wanted to. Is there an audit record I can print or see that shows changes made to employee records. Specifically changes in payrates, vacation accrual percentages and so forth?
Hello, I have multiple bills that have been grouped together and paid. The payment is already in QBO so is there a way to get rid of the bills that have been paid without having to use the make payment button separetely for all of them? Or does it do this automatically?
Hello,I hope someone can help with a problem I am seeing whereby credit card 'Bank Balances' are displaying incorrectly in QBO in certain circumstances. I ran a simple test to help illustrate the problem, as described below (please refer to images in the attached file). Image 1 shows the correct credit card balance as displayed in the AMEX online portal. It is a negative (credit) balance meaning the card issuer owes the cardholder. Image 2 shows the same credit card account twice on the Bank Transactions screen in QBO. The first instance 'Credit Card (Linked)' was connected to the AMEX account using the Link account feature. The second instance 'Credit Card (Unlinked)' was created using the Upload from file feature. The file uploaded was a .qbo file. After linking/importing, all transactions were categorized and the both accounts were reconciled. Image 3 shows the 2 credit card accounts in the Chart of Accounts. Hi there, We have issued a full refund to a customer for one of their invoices for $5k + $250 GST. This was done in branch via a bank draft. I am attempting to record this in QuickBooks Online, and am unable to. I am following the instructions on this help page here, but when I get to Step 2.6 (In the Tax field, select the appropriate Tax (not inclusive/exclusive of tax)) I am not able to save the Expense. I receive the attached error message (You cannot track tax on accounts of types Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable). What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
Is there a way to stop Quickbooks online from filling the invoice # automatically when the custom invoice numbers is selected? We have reoccurring transactions and it automatically add the invoice number prior to emailing it to our customers. We do not use the sequential numbering system so our invoices are being sent with incorrect numbers. I know this has been an issue since 2020 but I wanted to see if Quickbooks has resolved this critical issue. I would appreciate it is I am not told to submit feedback as I have numerous times 🙂

How do I determine which accounts are being mapped where for T4A'S? For a non-profit foundation that awards scholarships, I need to give the years recipients T4A'S. Each recipient is set up as a vendor with the option clicked recipient eligible for T4A. But when I run the reports everything is being mapped to the box for fees and services rather than box 105 for scholarships and bursaries. Please Help!
If so, would someone please explain to me how to open Web Connect? I need to open a qwc file to complete the integration, but I can't seem to get Web Connector to open. Nor can I find a reference to Connected Apps. The help documents I have found all come up on the US site. EG: Set up QuickBooks Web Connector (intuit.com) and I can't find anything for Canada.I'd like to integrate Time with Desktop - at the very least a manual import, but preferably a live connection.
Hi my Premier Contractor Edition desktop file size at almost 400MB is getting large, and I'd like to condense the data as after searching around this seems like the best option for me. However everything I've read says to go to "utilities" then "condense data". I don't have "condense data" as an option in utilities. It doesn't seem to be anywhere else either. Anyone know how to do this?
The Square Connect set up process omits to ask if I want to sync every transaction or daily as stated in step 8. in the instructions and in the QB video. It goes straight from choosing locations/bank accounts to Finish. I have too many individual transaction for QB/me to cope with.Thanks.

Hi - after a lot of searching I need to come here for help. Is there a way I can have an employee record their name when they issue a purchase order and have it come up on the Open Purchase Order report? I have tried the 'other 1 & 2' with no luck. I am able to identify the last person who updated the purchase order, but I have a large purchasing team. I need to know who cut the purchase order and bring that information over to a report so others can use that information. Thanks,Dean
