can't approve employee time
Hi. I am needing some help. I have 2 different company files but would like to put everything under 1 profile. I want to transfer over everything so I can do all my entering etc under 1 account. Just to confirm. I now login to each separate profile to enter transactions etc. How do I go about doing this?
Hello.Customer A paid an invoice belonging to customer B (the wrong invoice was attached to a payment link). Now customer B has sent payment for the invoice paid by customer A. What are the steps I need to take to a) apply the payment to the invoice for customer B and b) refund the money to customer A in QBO. To make matters a bit more complicated all of this happened last year and our FY closed Dec. Thank you.V
I would like to assign a class to multiple existing invoices. Is there a way to use batch action for this. Editing each invoice individually is tedious.
Only the first line of the Sales Tax Liability Report is used for reporting our sales tax each month. When I drill down on any of the other listings with a date range of "All", there aren't any transactions. Please review the attached sample report. None of the other listings are on the "Item List". How can I remove the other listings from the report?
Quickbooks automatically keeps track of vacation hours and associated pay accumulated for employees. For the employees, it would seem that they are taxed in the fiscal year that they use their vacation pay (i.e. when they are paid). But, Quickbooks seems to add vacation pay as a payroll expense every pay period, which would make it an expense in the pay period it is earned and not when it is used. Furthermore, if an employee receives a pay rise between accruing vacation and using it, I thought that the employee is paid their current hourly rate.Thus, I have two questions for Canada (Québec) tax and labour standards:1. As an employer, do I include vacation pay accrued as an expense (for my business taxes) in the year it is accrued or the year it is used (paid out)?2. Does an employee accrue vacation hours or pay ($)? For holiday time taken, ff they have earned vacation hours (at the legal 4%), should they receive vacation pay at the pay rate when it was earned or the pay rate when it is
When I enter time using the weekly or daily time tracking, the time is correctly formatted on invoices and reports as HH:MM. However, when I need to add time directly to an invoice I have to enter a decimal and it looks confusing on an invoice or report. Is there any way to set the format for the QTY column so it is consistent?
An employee gives us gas receipts and we add them up and pay them every few months. My expense account for this is "Gas Allowance". Is there any way to search for my Gas Allowance expense account and get a listing of the times it was reimbursed to the employee? I want to check to see when the last time was that we reimbursed the employee. I don't see a report for expenses where it isn't a lump sum for each expense account for a certain time period. I want to know when and how much was reimbursed to the employee each time. Thanks so much!
This transaction is complicated by a connection from shopify that issued the refund by entering a reversal of the original sale in the refund receipt. Total of original invoice (before payment) $2,500Payment was for $500 Refund receipt included a negative amount that brought the receipt down to $500 refund. How do I clear up this mess?
A $2000 over payment was made on a bill. The supplier is aware and I believe they are just going to give a credit towards a future purchase. How do I process the transaction in the downloads?When I tried to match the cheque payment transaction to the 9 invoices that it was paying, QB told me that the selected and downloaded transactions did not match. They cannot match because the cheque total was incorrect.It tells me to resolve the difference. How do I do that?Do I have to create a supplier credit before I do the matching? If I create a credit will it show on the bill list so I can check it and add it with the invoice payments so the totals will match and the transaction can be categorized.I have only been using Quickbooks for 4 months and have not encountered this situation before.Any direction would be appreciated. Can I set a default site for inventory items in quickbooks enterprise 2023
The owner used personal funds to purchase misc. items for the business BEFORE the business bank account was created. I entered these items as expenses using the payment account "Owner Expense Payable". The account type is "Credit Card". Detail is "Credit Card". Does this make sense for the accountants to know to deduct this from his Owners Drawings throughout the year or is this a nonsensical way of doing this? Wondering now about a different equity account - but you cannot use an equity account as a payment account in an expense sheet which is how I'd like these transactions to show. Any help is appreciated!!
quickbooks is saving them in a folder that doesnt exist in onedrive so i cant find them after QuickBooks makes the ROE for me. i have tried unsyncing one drive and it is still there . i have tried searching my hard drive for the ROE file and its not there. i have uninstalled and reinstalled quickbooks that didnt change anything either
When I click transfer billing, I get the error "Unable to process your request at this time. Please sign out and try again later. If the issue persists, please contact support and reference this message. (Error code: PLT-2070, type: VALIDATION_ERROR)" Any ideas how to solve this?

I updated and restarted quickbooks desktop 2017 several times to make sure there were no more updates. Clicked on Company> Export company file to quickbooks online> get started> Select Destination. I then get the message: You'll need to update your software to access your Intuit Account here.
