Bank name and address
with new format in writing an estimate I am getting 0.00 on lines that I am just describing the service. How do I get rid of those. Looks confusing to the customer. Also how do I keep the blank line between items?
Hello, We are recently switching to Quickbooks Shipping manager for UPS. We have been using ShipGear with UPS Worldship without any problems. Today, we tried to ship using it to a customer and it said " ........is not a valid city/state/zip or the street name was not found". We were able to ship to this address using UPS Worldship with no problem before and again today. We verified the address with the customer and on USPS that it is in fact a valid address and correct zip code. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Client of 5+ years set up on recurring invoicing. I process the ach payment on the 1st of every month via saved client banking info which is all accurate. Pmts over the last five years have been declined randomly and then I try again a few days later and it processes. So some months no problem others it eventually processes. In December, declined. Jan declined. I ended up running through my Square account and NO PROBLEM--got paid. QBS insists I should ask customer for another form of payment vs fixing their glitch. After MANY times on support calls they finally told his bank account is flagged but no one apparently knows why. NEVER has the client had an NSF, his bankers verified his account is WELL above and always has been average balances. It's not the bank or his account, it's QBs pmts and I'm about to just leave QBs and turn to another accounting software merely because they won't fix the issue.

I need clarification on the question "who works at this business" in the get started section
Most of my clients have 2-3 1099s to file. I have one client who has (30) 1099 Misc forms that need to be filed. In the past, I've just run them through desktop and mailed them. This year I see that if a business has 20 or more forms to be filed it MUST be done through their portal. I'm in the middle of getting the first step which, I think, is a TCC code. I just read that it takes 45 days to get one. I'm not sure what I do as it is now 12Jan24. Any thoughts on this?
A customer paid an invoice with a credit card thru QB payments. She wants to pay it with a different card. We have refunded the initial payment. How to change the invoice to unpaid without creating a credit.
When selecting the accounts to map for 1099, the dropdown does not provide the INT option.

Classes. We used classes in 2023 and don't want to in 2024. How do I turn off the notifications regarding "you forgot to enter a class for one or more transactions"... In 2023 it just caused more work than help and we are going to give it a year without classes to see how if it works better for us. How do I remove classes? I keep getting notifications to classify things.
I saw that some people saidf to use "Choose File > Utilities > Copy Company File for QuickBooks Mac" to export a QBDT file to QB for Mac. Is that "Copy Company File for QuickBooks Mac" still available on Quckbooks Enterprise Solutions 24.0? I know it is easy for QB for Mac to export a file to QBDT, but not sure if QBDT 24.0 has dropped that conversion. Thanks,

I am a one person self-employed business. How do I categorize when I take profits? Mainly as a bank transfer between my business general operations bank account to my personal checking account to pay my monthly personal expenses like mortgage, utilities, etc. I want to make sure that this is not being counted as an expense or negative income. If I enter an invoice dated Dec 31 for a customer that gets invoiced monthly, but take physical inventory on Dec 30, will the quantity on hand include all items on all invoices including the Dec 31 invoice? Or will I need to add back into my Dec 30 physical inventory the items from the Dec 31 invoice for an accurate count? I thought inventory on hand went by date, but recently discovered that it seems like it instead reads all invoices, even those in the future for an accurate count. Anyone else figure this out?
I had a customer with a balance. Instead of paying me direct, he paid one of my vendors. I entered the transaction as a Journal Entry. On the first line I entered by name that customer, and on the second line I entered the vendor. But when I double-checked, the customer got his balance reduced through the Journal Entry, but the vendor didn't get the credit through the Journal Entry? How could I apply that credit to go to the vendor? (I want it to be linked to this transaction - not a new entry).
Hi,For some of the accounts in my Chart of Accounts, the rows follow a white and then black pattern. However, the black rows have black fonts so you cannot really see anything. If you check the 1-Line box, then you have all the letters in black font and the background is black too. How do I change the row backgroud colors? Thanks,

I just started at this company and ALL of 2023 is completely wrong. I am not sure what is the best way how to deal with this. Should I close the year and start 2024 fresh correctly and go back to last year and fix as I get time because I feel like I am just letting the incorrect things getting prolonged. Thank you,Tracy C

I have several inventory items that have zero quantity, but show negative dollar amounts by one or two pennies. I think I know why this is, as we have made the mistake of billing 50% of invoices for upcoming equipment orders, instead of invoicing for parts only. This has cut parts prices in half with the other half invoiced upon job completion. However, some don’t come out correctly and are off by a penny or two on the final invoice. For instance, $692.25 was billed twice at 50% as $346.13, overselling the product by $0.01. Do I need to issue a credit memo for the few pennies to the customer, or is there another way to take care of this? Since this is not an addition of inventory, but rather on the invoicing side, I am not sure how to take care of this.
