My contractors were paid this quarter but I'd like to generate paystubs for them for record keeping. How do I do that?
It looks like Quickbooks online offers you the option to add a customer filter inside the AP Aging Detailed Report but not QB Desktop.I want to create an A/P aging report that shows me all the vendors/bills associated with that customer/job that are either outstanding or coming due. When I use the AP Aging Detail report, there is no customer/job column available to select from when I try to customize the report. There is no customer/job filter option either. When I filter by name, it excludes the vendors/suppliers because the report excludes the vendors' names. I run into similar issues when I create a custom report. I want my accounting team to be able to pull this report if they don't know which vendor have outstanding bills associated with a job. We use QB Enterprise 2024 we for General Contracting w/ advanced reporting so if you have a quick tip on how to create it in there, that would be helpful too!
How do I add solid horizontal lines to reports to make them easier to read?
Hi there, I'm new to invoicing, and have had no problem creating Draft invoices. Today I must've accidentally clicked something that put one of my invoices into "open" mode (though it still hasn't been emailed to the client, thankfully!) Can someone help me understand the difference between Draft invoices (the top two in my screenshot example) and Open invoices (the bottom example)? What did I click to make the bottom one "Open"? I was nervous I sent it to the client. When I click into them, the top two say "Draft" and the bottom one says "Due in 8 days (Not sent)" for further clarity. Thanks!
I just migrated from Desktop to QBO. Are the Estimates vs Actuals by Project reports supposed to pull in Estimate Costs and Total Act. Cost (COGS)? All my reports are showing $0.The only numbers that pull across are from our Income Accts. I just spent 4 hours with support, but nothing has been resolved. I'm hoping someone else in this community has seen this issue. Thanks!
This "glitch" happened to two payrolls back to back (Aug. 1st and 15th) which I just discovered. I need the report budget to actuals to be accurate and these figures are not shown. Once I click on the amount in the P&L report it breaks it down to another report and I have all of those.
I run an antique mall, and my vendor payouts are mostly absent from my listed expenses. But when I type that vendor's name into the search box, those transactions are there. How can I get them to show in my expense report? Why are they hidden? Just wondering what else could be "hiding." Thanks in advance!
My landing page has changed and I no longer have a Custom Reports tab. The reports are there, but I have to start typing a report name into a search box to get the list of available reports. (Also there is no Help function on the page.) The system administrator has confirmed that my access allows me to View Company Reports. Thanks.
I have classes and subclasses established in my Quickbooks Online file. The class is a program name and I track each year of the program as a subclass. For instance, the class could be Program ABC and the subclasses are 2022, 2023, 2024. We have many programs and track each program year's activity this way. Quickbooks online's profit and loss by class report has been great. However, under the new modern view, if I have two or more classes using the same subclass name, the $ amount recorded for the subclass shows under the subclass column within each class, rather than only the class that subclass is assigned. For example, Program ABC and Program XYZ are both classes and both have 2024 as a subclass. If I record $5,000 under Program ABC subclass 2024 and run a profit and loss by class report, the $5,000 shows under the 2024 subclass under both Program ABC and Program XYZ. That amount only flows to Program ABC's class column tho
My boss had me doing the entries for multiple companies in Quickbooks. I go off of the bank statements and everything looks like it's coded correctly. When I printed him the P&L he said that there is no way we made that much profit. Why would it be off? Like I said, it doesn't look like anything is coded incorrectly. Please help!
Howdy all, I am having a bit of trouble with invoice customization. I have the date column selected for the activities in my invoice, and it shows up in that preview window, but when I preview an existing or new invoice, the column is missing. I do have the date selected in the invoice settings. Any thoughts?
The payments I receive via Paypal are now being brought into my books via "App Transactions." How do I categorize the payments I receive to the appropriate account? The help menu mentions a "products and services" category, but that is now showing up on my screen. Any help would be appreciated.
I have paid my credit cards monthly payments & have reconciled them in my bank rec. but have not dispersed the individual charges within the credit card statements. How do I do that?
The iOS receipt scanner regularly detects borders improperly regardless of light conditions and a high contrast background. Also, unlike some other mobile scan apps, the QB receipt scanner fails to do any kind of image touchup to make receipts cleaner/clearer.
I have tried to manually deposit as well.
Apps & software, communication, phone, memberships & subscriptions, tools & equipment, shipping, transaction fees, legal& professional although all classified, are being grouped in other. How can i identify these totals?
Could someone share how to customize a report to show: Cust namePhone numberEmailand (this is the part I don't know which filters) invoices or balances that have received a payment and are now zero balance over the last week. The goal is to generate a report that shows jobs completed over the last week that have been paid. We want to use this list to contact customers via text and email for reviews, feedback, etc. We complete 6-8 jobs a day in a home service industry. We generate a dozen estimates, invoices and down payments a day. We are trying to generate a report that would just show customer info of jobs completed the last week, and the customer has paid the outstanding balance.
Have set up the respective Due to / Due From COA’s in Company A and Company B. Both companies are owned by the same individual. Company A holds the AR and Company B holds the AP. Owner takes cash from Company B and without depositing into Company A “considers” the cash withdrawal to be a “payback” to Company A of the Company B expenses paid for by Company A.The bookkeeping problem / questions are:1. How to record the lowering of the AP balance and withdrawal of the cash from Company B?2. How to record the decrease in the AR balance in Company A?Any replies will be respected and appreciated.
I don't have a vendor's bank information. Can I still pay using Bill pay?
I'm using Quickbooks Desktop. I'm trying to generate a report on sales of a couple items. I'd like to see how many of those items I sell - and then to generate reports over different time periods. I can get close to what I want with the "Sales by Item Summary". This report is great - except I'm looking to get rid of some of the columns in the report. i.e. I just want to see the "Qty" column, I don't want to see "Amount", "% of Sales" or "Avg. Price". I'd then love to be able to compare different years. I understand I could export this to excel, then delete or hide the columns I don't want, but that seems like silly work around. Quickbooks should be able to generate a report to tell me how many of a given item I have sold, without all that other info, right?thanks for your help with this...
