someone in quickbooks needs to familiarize with Secure Act 2.0 and the allowable for simple IRA max contributions
That was $2090.00 not $21090.00
I am the admin and have set up monthly Memorized Transactions. Recently my employees have been able to see them when they pop up on their screen. How do I change it so they don't see them? Thanks,Kim

Many of my company's payments are done through ETFs. Some are done as PayPal transactions and some as Venmo transactions. They all appear as CHECKS in the register, even though I have changed the "check number" to ETF, PayPal or Venmo. How can I get my register to reflect these transactions as the type they really are? I actually write very few checks anymore (and I believe is rather common these days). My company is a charitable organization and also receives the majority of its contributions though PayPal and Venmo. I'm using QB Desktop PRO PLUS 2024.
We are changing the company from a non-profit to an s corporation and when I tried to change it in QuickBooks it says income tax settings now invalid and will be deleted in all accounts. Continue? My concern is will it automatically populate for payroll with a new tax setting under the s Corp.
When I update a customer's billing address QB changes all previous invoices to reflect that change; thereby, altering the history of the customer account. How can I prevent the address change being applied to past invoices and have it only apply to those invoices created after the address change?
Hello, I do payroll for a private club. This includes a bar/food. Our bartenders were fully volunteer previously but are now paid and receiving tips. These come from credit card and cash. They take their tips home every night when closing their tills. I went to enter the tips that they have collected and it seems to only allow me to place it on their paychecks causing us to write and spend more.. Is there a way to just report what they made without it being calculated that is due or needs to be paid on their paychecks like the calculated Hours?
I am deeply disappointed with the customer service I've received regarding a backend payment issue that I've been trying to resolve for three days now. The customer representatives have generally been unhelpful, lacking knowledge, and unwilling to effectively address the problem. One representative even abruptly ended our conversation, suggesting I troubleshoot on my own. Despite following every instruction provided, each new representative had me undo the previous steps, showing a lack of continuity and knowledge-sharing within the support team. This has not only been frustrating but has also wasted a considerable amount of my time. After being a loyal QuickBooks user for over five years, I'm now seriously considering moving my business to another platform due to the poor service. The current level of support makes me feel undervalued and poorly treated like dog sh@t.
The password used to close the books at year end does not allow me access to prior year to enter adjustments.
I have changed my password after getting the unsolicited verification code.
I've asked to prove I'm a human every time I log in now. Today it was 4 different CAPTCHAs to get through.I'm also asked to prove I'm me every time I log in now, so also a text.Capturing Mileage no longer works on my Android; It has all green checkmarks, it says it's running, but - no miles. I've uninstalled and reinstalled (finding QBSE again was a challenge!) - I keep seeing Solopreneur, but that's not my account. What's happening with QBSE? I've depended on it for 6 years and now it's not doing what I need most (mileage) and it's making other tracking (Expenses) challenging and frustrating.
I have an obsolete account associated with over $150,000. What happens to the balance if I make the account inactive? The account has not been maintained in over 20 years, so the funds do not really exist.
I have been forced to use QBOA. I have set up a service, "Donations" which I've mapped to an income account "Donations directed by Individuals". These transactions are coming up in my P&L under "Corporate Sponsorships". WHY?!?!!!It's so frustrating. I don't know how to fix this without having to make an additional journal entry to correct the mapping error. Any thoughts? ShirleyThanks in advance,
Hello, I have a question on your software. I am looking for a solution to a problem. I need a program or software for a business that tracks it's customers purchases, provides balances and specifically if there is a credit owed to the customer. I am based in the USA but this problem is occuring in a different country. Due to hyper-inflation the countries money collapsed and they now use the US dollar as it's official currency. The problem comes when customers purchase products from the business, there is not enough small currency US$ bills to provide them with the correct change that is owed. So the solution we are thinking of is to track the customers spending and when there is change owed, if it's not possible to provide it because the business does not have the ability to. That they would have a secure system in place that would show the amount that is owed to the customer, that the dollar amount owed would be a credit. Next time they come to the store that credi
Can I create a profit and loss report on 1 bank account?
For example, I've tagged my investments which should total a couple thousand dollars, but when I go to reports > tags > it lists investments as $0. Same for other categories. Some categories are tabulated correctly, though. I have no idea why some of my tagged items have registered while others have not.
New accountant handles payment of QB and will upgrade me, but I need to transfer the billing first. I can't find anywhere in the settings in QBSE where I can tell it to do this. I've given access to the accountant, but that doesn't handle the billing.
"Expenses" is now called "Expenditures" Did my account switch to the British version?
how do I change my login password
