Hello! We are in need of scheduling recurrent invoices for several recurring services that we offer. However, we need to verify the invoices before having them sent to the customer. In other words, we want QBO to automatically create the recurrent invoices but need a control checkpoint before those invoices are sent to the customer. Some of those services increase or decrease in quantity of seats during the month and we need to adjust for that before sending the invoice. We created the Scheduled invoices and unchecked "Automatically send emails" in the Recurring Invoice template. However, when the date came, QBO sent the invoices to the customers and we were caught by surprise. What is the correct setup for what we want to do? Thanks,Ricardo
Is there a way to set up a custom invoice template in QuickBooks Desktop to only display the total account summary, rather than each individual transaction? For example, I don't want to show a line for each of my individual flight charges, but a single line with the total for the airplane expense account. Thanks!!
Our company has been using (dare I say under-utilizing) QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop for many years. We believe that we could achieve significant improvements in our job costing and inventory management by developing and deploying build assemblies for the various products we fabricate or assemble and eventually install.We are wondering what the best practices might be to undertake a project like this to be able to thoughtfully develop the various inputs to the application. Is it feasible to work with a set of files for a "mock company" without disrupting the ongoing business files?We'd like to develop the process and details and test them before adding the elements to the company's actual live files and operations. Is that difficult to do?
With recent changes and updates that QuickBooks has done with QBO. Is there anywhere that they list the changes made, updates, new applications? Do they not send an email to users, of current updates and/or changes (like when you update your Apple phone IOS)? Seems pretty logical to send out details of any updates, new applications, application changes, etc. Am I just missing this somewhere?
I'm using Desktop Pro Plus 2024. My Help Menu will not work at all for anything. I had this problem before on earlier versions and had a call in to QB support. As soon as they called it came up but then wouldn't work after that. I just quit and gave up but would really like to have it. Any help would be appreciated. Elissiah
I just upgraded to Quickbooks Plus from Simple Start in order to use Purchase Orders. The issue I find now is that Purchase Orders are used to track expenses from Vendors. That is not my use case. I am the vendor. I have customers issue PO's to me for products that I produce for them. I need a method to input these PO's from customers as I receive them. Sometimes the orders are large and I will send the customer partials, but not bill out the job until completion. I also need a method to track this so I can generate reports detailing all the open PO's I have and what has been sent already and what is still left to complete. Could someone offer any suggestions as to how to go about this as vendor? Do I even need to use QB Plus if I am not a vendor in order to do this? Thanks in advance for any insight. Gus
Somehow the inventory per lot number is not matching up.For example, Lot #100Starting Inventory 468Inventory Transfer to another warehouse -444Customer Invoice -24 The balance should be 0, but instead, the lot number is still showing there are 84 pieces left. Why? If I create a new invoice, it shows there are 84 pieces still available on Lot #100, and also when I go to the inventory center it shows there as well. Why is this? (Qb Version is Enterprise Retail 23.0)

Is anyone else having an issue with estimates? When I attempt to create a new estimate or open an existing one I'm prompted to sign in again. This happened on several browsers from different computers. Does Intuit have an idea that this is an issue or not? There's no way to speak to an actual person so I'm not sure what to do next.
Hello, we are using QBO Advanced and a third party app Transaction Pro for uploading multiple bills in the system. Now we turned on the AP approval workflow but it only works with the manual invoices and not with the upload. Transaction pro tells me AP workflow is not supported for their uploads, which pretty much makes it useless since most invoices make it into the system through uploads.
When I started my company I thought it was a good idea to create sub-items for an inventory item. Example: Yarn 1 has 150 different colors so I created 150 sub-items for inventory management. Now I have found a better software for inventory management and my bookkeeping is now so time consuming. If I already have quantities in the sub-items I can't just delete or make an item inactive until the quantity is 0. How can I "clean" my inventory items so I can only keep the parent item? any help is greatly appreciated.
Up until yesterday I could email invoices from QB's. Today I am getting a message that says QB's is unable to send emails due to network connection failure. I have not changed anything. Any suggestions?
QuickBooks Support Team,I am an existing subscriber to the QuickBooks Self-Employed app, which I use to track my miles, expenses, and other financial data. I have a full-year subscription, and the service is essential for my business operations.Recently, I attempted to log in to the app, but it no longer allows me to do so. Instead, It has a message stating that the Self-Employed app is no longer accepting new sign-ups but that existing users can continue using it. Unfortunately, the app does not provide an option to enter my login credentials or access my account.Considering the subscription cost and my reliance on the app, this is highly disappointing. To make matters worse, there seems to be no way to contact customer service directly, leaving me with no other option than to reach out through this channel.I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue promptly, as I need the app to function as advertised. how do I upload a font, BONK, that I have on my computer? Itis available in word, excel, and so on, but not available on QB Desktop Enterprise
We make several Journal Entries each month. We have them all saved as recurring transactions. But we have very specific numbering/naming conventions we would like to use for each. Is there a way to add the desired JE number to the recurring transaction instead of QB assigning the recurring JEs a number in sequence from the last created JE? Example: we want to the JE numbers to be ME01 COGS PR MM-YYME02 CAPEX MM-YYME15 PRPD T&T MM-YY This month when the recurring JEs were generated, the last JE that was made in QB was numbered "REV16 PREP COMM 40", so the recurring JEs were created with the following names, which are not at all what they should be.REV16 PREP COMM 41REV16 PREP COMM 42REV16 PREP COMM 43Thanks!
Why doesn't Intuit provide an updated list of devices compatible with their Inventory management system for android OS? They still list Zebra TC20 that has been discontinued since 2021, it's replacement TC21 will be discontinued this month (Jan 2025). QuickBooks community has been posting about unable to make TC21 work with the Android Inventory Management app. My question to the community is: Has anyone been able to install Inventory Management on Zebra TC22 (TC21 replacement for 2025)? how it is working and can you give us some tips on installation process?
I am trying to set up the ability to put in specific part numbers that are unique to my vendors so i can form a PO and buy products from them without going through the hassle of emailing/calling them to place an order. I already have my own part numbers put into the quickbooks inventory tab.
Can someone helm me understand 1-where does the retained earnings come from? I read the formula, but I cant see where the number is coming from, I started a company in QB so I don't have previous retained earnings, what is being considered to show my a number that is not zero? Also, can I delete this column from the Balance sheet?Thank you
Is there any kind of bug or anything going on with the reports? My net revenue is not matching and when I click on the amount from my balance sheet it takes me to a different date from the P&L. I’m trying to do October 2023-September 2024 and this is exactly what I selected, but when I click on the amount to see where is coming from the date changes to January-September 2024.
For almost a year I was able to send invoices using SMS Texting, now it is gone and Everywhere I look it shows QB doesn't offer SMS Text Messaging.Did anyone else use this feature? What happened to it?

Can I share one data file stored in the cloud to open and use from two computers? I use the Quickbooks Pro for Mac desktop version and have it installed on a work computer. I would like to install it on a second computer at home. Quickbooks would never be open simultaneously between the two. I would like to store and use the file within a folder located in my Microsoft One Drive account. This way I would not have a data file or backups stored locally and would not have to transfer back and forth.
Can QB please fix the printing checks feature so we don't have to click 4 different times to print a check then click to open the printer window and again click to print? It is so time consuming to navigate printing. And while you're at it, put the print signature feature back in the program. For a company that markets itself as efficiency, there are a lot of inefficient uses of software. Like constantly having to click to close advertisements in the software I pay for so I can use the software and not have huge header bars and windows trying to get me to buy something more. If I wanted that, I'd go find a free ware version for accounting and waste my time there.
