Hi Everyone, A vendor gave us a credit towards our bill that we owe to them. How should we create the credit in QB Enterprise 21?Should we create a journal entry to set the credit? or to write a check Thank you for your help!

I am trying to use quickbooks to prepare and file my 1099s. It is giving me an error for a vendor who is a contractor that I need the company name. This is not required for a vendor, only their name. How do i get rid of this error. Thank you, Andrea
I am trying to import invoices into Quickbooks 2018 pro desktop. I have found several examples of the iif file, but none of them have worked. I finally stumbled on another format in the Intuit website that seems to be getting closer. The problem I am facing now is it complains that the sales tax cannot be left out. I have tried adding the taxcode field TRNS record. I have also tried adding a tax code line to the spl area. That throws an error that the Sales Tax Payable account cannot be referenced. Does anyone know how to set the tax in an invoice. Also, does each line item have to be set in advance in the items list? My client's company makes deposits into their bank account from their cash register that. The sales from the cash is already accounted for. What type of account would I set up for these deposits and how would I classify these transactions. I am using QBO.
Hello! I am wondering if there is a way for Quickbooks to notify me of upcoming expiration dates.We have products that are subject to expiration, and instead of me pulling the Inventory Expiration status report, it would be nice if there were some feature that could notify me. Thanks! Lindsay
I currently have an RDS server deployed running Windows Server 2022 with QuickBooks Enterprise 2024 installed. I have about 10 users who RDP into the server daily to use QuickBooks. We have about 10 different company files stored on a local drive on the server. Everything has been working great up until recently, when users began notifying me of a message that pops up when opening the QuickBooks program prompting for Windows Administrator credentials. If they hit cancel, it does not allow them to open any company files. I need to either remote in and provide the admin credentials, or restart the server. Both of those options seems to 'fix' it temporarily for about a week before the message comes back. It gets tedious having to do that frequently and halts our accounting department until I fix it, and I am not always near a computer to fix it remotely if I'm not on site. Can someone please walk me through how to create year end donation statements by customer? I've read several blogs/feedback and it appears that if you are using Quickbooks desktop non profit there is no standard feature. The reason our church selected this product because they stated they had this feature. If this feature is not available, we will have to use another product.

Trying to better understand QBO automatic matching. Bank feeds matches to receipts? What about expenses and bills? What is the process that people undergo. Do you upload all your receipts in expenses and bills and then match the bank feed and delete anything that is unmatched or do you download the bank transactions and upload the receipts after and match the receipts to the bank feeds?
Ive put in several feedback requests for this over many years but nothing has been done. Does anyone know of a way to display more than 10 receipts on the receipts tab at a time. I have a bunch of receipts to go through. Curious if there is a url option I can add to the url that would allow this or something

I run QB Desktop Enterprise 2023. In the last 2 or 3 weeks I have run into a problem with multi-user mode. My workstation and the server runs on Windows 11. My AP's workstation is Windows 10. Whenever AP gets on QB it automatically puts her in single user mode. If she tries to change to multi-user mode she gets error H202. I have no problem switching from single user mode to multi-user mode on my workstation or the server. Hello - we use QB online and have an AMEX Business card. Need help finding a solution that allows for expense management. In others words I would like the employee to be able to use a system to tag certain AMEX transactions for a job name/invoice then be able to integrate that input into QuickBooks jobs. Any solutions?
For one of my contract laborers, the amount on the 1099NEC is shown as only his first payment rather than the total for the entire year. I had listed every payment to him as 'Contract Labor' and all the payments show up in the list of 'Contract Labor' on the P&L Statement, so why wouldn't the 1099NEC show the total?
I have a client that uses QBO but has never reconciled their linked bank accounts or linked credit card accounts since they started using QBO. Without having to go back to 2017 and reconcile from the beginning, what is the best way to get them caught up and accurate moving forward? The QBO balance on the transaction page is not accurate. It appears to have payments from years back that have posted recently again. I don't know what the client touched, but I want to make this as easy as possible so I don't have to spend hours getting it resolved. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm a new user to QBO and am still learning too.
I’ve made some test transactions on the QBSE app, to experiment and learn how to use it. I would like to delete these transactions now to keep the place organised and tidy. These were scanned receipts. There doesn’t seem to be an option to delete the transactions, only to exclude them. They’re just nonsense transactions so I don’t want them sitting around on my profile even if they are excluded. Is there anyway to permanently remove them. Again, not excluded, I’d like them totally gone. many thanks, Mike
I have been trying and failing to send my PO through quickbooks to a vendor the last couple days. I get the "Quickbooks is unable to send emails due to network connection failure." error message. I have updated windows on my server, I have updated quickbooks, I have deleted my email address from the send forms tab in preferences and re-inputted my email, I have switched from the quickbooks emails and clicked ok - just to go back to the regular email, I verified the file, rebuilt the file and none of this has worked. The vendor I was trying to send the PO to has two different names, separated by a semi-colon, in the "To:" box. As a last ditch attempt to do something, I deleted one of the names from the box. It worked. Can someone help me as to why this is happening all of a sudden?
I messed up in the training session for entering payments into Undeposited Funds. How can I reset the training module to its original settings?
The new mileage tracking is horrible. I cannot adjust mileage after entry, I cannot delete erroneously entered entries, and I cannot sort the list to see the most recent on top so I don't have to search through the list to find entries. This is unacceptable. Is there any other way to track mileage, or do I have to resort to an excel spreadsheet? Quick books 2017 was way better at this.
Hello, I was wondering if there was a way for the text in the change order to reflect the item description, rather than the name. For example in this screenshot it says "Carpenter" has been changed but I would like it to say "Carpenter On-site Labor" (The description of the item in the estimate). Thank you
