I have a strange situation here. I am setting up a new file and cognizant that I may enter information incorrectly. Because of that, I have created "complete" backups of my account in Backup and Restore. Today, I created a backup at 10:30am. Around noon, I imported information which generated 500 products and 500 accounts. These were done incorrectly, unfortunately. No sweat, though, I'll just restore from my 10:30am backup. I ran restore and it completed successfully. Unfortunately, all 500 products and 500 accounts remain in my account. QBO Support tells me "that's just how it works" and information such as products and accounts won't be "removed" form a Restore. That sounds completely wrong based on any reasonable understanding of how a Restore would work (take a snapshot of everything, overwrite everything with that snapshot). Am I being misinformed?

I am looking for recommendations for the best/fastest laptop to run multiple versions of Accountant Desktop. My last 2 laptops have been Lenovo and while they have been purchased with the max RAM, I still have not had the experience I have been looking for. I tried a Mac, love it as a laptop but not for QuickBooks. I am a multi-tasker and have several programs open at all times during the day. Typically 3 versions of QuickBooks, multiple spreadsheets, adobe files, web browsers etc.
Hello, Greetings! We are about to finish our development in QBO sandbox, and we are exploring this early to switch to production. However, we are confused how to go about the tasks required to unlock our production credentials. Our app is for internal use, mainly pushing data to QBO vi API for invoicing purposes only, question, are we really required to indicate the following? * Host domain* Launch URL* Disconnect URL.. given that we use bash scripts to push data to QBO. I don't use multi-currency and only receive this error for one vendor who is only set up for USD. I frequently enter bills for this vendor and only receive this error sometimes.

The entity is a homeowner’s association and the invoices in question are recurring monthly invoices for dues. There are 32 owners and each currently pays $190.00 per month. These dues payments are collected by ACH debits to each owner's checking account on the same date each month. Then the bank credits our checking account with $6,080.00 in one lump sum.

I was working in one client file for the 2024 year, categorizing month to month, spent 2 hours and all of sudden the QBO stopped and I did logged out and logged back in and then my work was not saved. Is anybody know why this happened ?
I am considering converting from QuickBooks desktop pro 2020 to online. I really only use QB for income/expense tracking - there are no invoices created no inventory to keep track of. Pretty simple - bank accounts, income/expense tracking, P&L reports, loans, and check writing. I feel like converting at the start of the year would be helpful and easier. A few questions. 1. Is that data that is in desktop still available to refer back to if moving to online?2. I have two companies - personal and business. It is my understanding that in order to have 2 companies they each need their own subscription. Is it possible to keep both companies under one subscription but to separate information when it comes to reports? Someone mentioned "classes", but I don't really know what that means since I don't have access to QB online. Help!

I am currently using QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020. My accountant sent her accountant changes file via a secure link as a QBJ file. I saved locally to my computer and tried to import. Once in QB and trying to import, the saved QBJ file is not visible (although, it is visible if looking from File Explorer). Furthermore, once I get the accountant's general journal entries pulled up in QB and select "add GEJs", I get a Warning message that reads: Warning Import Failed: Please try again later. Any suggestions? I have never ran into this issue before. Thanks
I am a talent agent and a beginner to Quickbooks (have been using QB for a number of years but know enough to get by). We work similarly to realtors and lawyers having an escrow account where all funds flow in and out. Our agency commission then gets transferred to our operations checking account where we pay out all our bills (rent, salaries, etc.) Recently, our non-union commercial customers are paying the talent's work day (called session fee) through payroll so they are covered under insurance, paying the actor directly and then we invoice the customer for the usage. We create a bill for the actor and a bill for our agency. We will receive the usage payment for the invoice by the customer, deposit into escrow, pay the bills from escrow, and transfer our commission to the operations checking account. The actor owes us commission on their session fee and I'm not sure how the best way track this in Quickbooks. They are listed as a vendor. I have added them as a custome
Transactions from all prior months and months since are showing up - just June and July are missing. I have several accounts set up to auto transfer and those two months - nothing from any of them. This tells me it was a QB issue? But I need to fix it. Please help! TY.
