I'm about to receive a check payment from a customer who is paying two invoices at once. Why is one invoice number blue in appearance while the other is purple?
Hello, I've recently migrated from Xero to Quickbooks and boy now I wish I didn't!!! I often reconcile bank transactions up to 3 months after they occurred. Our company has a lot of customers on fixed recurring invoices (subscriptions with an end date). When I need to reconcile thousands of these invoices I would create a recurring invoice when the subscription started (sometimes 3 months in the past). However Quickbooks doesn't allow this and gives me an error message of (The recurring start date can’t be before today). This is utterly useless, there should be no reason why you cannot create recurring invoices which happened in the past. I have seen another post on this and the response was to create these manually, that's just not possible with the thousands of invoices that we are dealing with. If this isn't something that can be rectified, I will have to move back to Xero.
Hello!I've recently bought a computer (office supply expense) to use for my company. I bought the computer from Apple through Affirm who offers payment plan.At the transaction time, I've paid the taxes and will be paying the rest in 12 equal payments. I'd like to have some input on how to set up that expense and reconcile the future payments that will come in, as well as the taxes I've already paid. Thanks!
Are we required to use the downloadable Quickbooks customer authorization form when storing credit cards on Quickbook Desktop; or are we allowed to edit it/use our own, one which is more suitable to our company's needs so long as the customer signs & dates it and we do not remove the portion at the top giving us permission to store it?
I have been using QuickBooks SE for several years now, and have always toggled the Credit Card payment option to off. However I just noticed a 10% CC transaction fees tethered to 2 recent payments by the same customer using their credit card. How were they able to circumvent this? what can I do to protect myself from an option that is disabled yet somehow not? Was there a software update to QSBE or is it a bug that I happened into? Do I need to check with the customer every time how they are going to pay and preemptively add the credit card fee? TIA, [Removed][Removed]
Dear All, I am using QB Premier Desktop 2018. Is there any report which shows payment (check) numbers and corresponding invoice numbers, as follows. Payment Invoice282123 812343282123 812567212313 821456
Cannont reconnect my Checking and Savings Account.
I am trying to delete a credit card that was accidentally saved by a co-worker. The customer is very upset that his card number is saved in our system and wants it removed. I saw the option of entering a non transacting card number but that information must be out-of-date because it doesn't work. This seems like a HUGE problem and I am concerned about legal ramifications if this can't be done. Will someone please help?
Dear QuickBooks Support, I wanted to provide some feedback regarding the messaging displayed to clients when they view their invoices—specifically, the message prominently centered on the page that reads: “Looking for a way to pay? We can let Company LLC know you’re not sure how.” with clickable buttons of "Yes, let them know" or "No thanks" As a business owner, I find this phrasing to be off-putting and undermining to the professional relationship we maintain with our clients. It suggests that our billing processes might be unclear or difficult to navigate and all to promote payments with QBO. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide an option to either turn off this message or modify it to better suit our communication style. This would allow us to maintain a professional and tailored approach to our client interactions. Yes I can switch to PDF attached invoices and have, but have no visibility on whether the invoice is viewed or not. Th
It has been several years since Intuit made the decision to implement batched payment deposits, and many users continue to express significant frustration over this change. The transition has complicated bookkeeping processes, adding unnecessary steps that disrupt the efficiency of a once seamless and nearly automatic function. Users are struggling with the inability to easily match payments to individual invoices, which has led to confusion and errors in their accounting records. Many feel that Intuit is prioritizing cost savings over user satisfaction, neglecting the widespread dissatisfaction among its customers.
I have a client that has open credit memos. I can see them on client profile page. But when I go into receive payment, there is no credit memo box at the bottom for me to apply the credits. It seems to be only effecting 1 client.
Hello, We are a retail store selling building supplies. We have two price levels Retail and Contractor. Whenever we try and do a credit memo for a Contractor customer the prices automatically adjust to the retail pricing. Is there a work around or fix to this. For now we just manually adjust but when we forget its a hit to our bottom line crediting back more than we should. Please advise. - Devon
We have a customer "ABCD" who had 2 invoices:Invoice 01 - 50,000.00$Invoice 02 - 60,000.00$ The customer paid his invoices as follows:Invoice 01 - 50,000.00$ - paid 48,000.00$Invoice 02 - 60,000.00$ - paid 62,000.00$ So, as far as we are concerned, the debt had been settled. However, when I go to Customer in QBO and click on Receive payment, I am unable to input the amount higher than the actual debt per invoice. For the Invoice 02, I am unable to put 62K. I can go with the exact or lower number, but not the higher. What am I doing wrong here?
Hello,My question is this: Should I enter a vehicle payment or use an interest expense account? I don't have the beginning balance of the loan, nor the end balance for the client's vehicle loan(s) from year to year. On top of that, the loan was refinanced during the next few years. I have the bank statements for the company, and payments have been made toward the vehicle(s) to each vendor. I also would like to know if a journal entry is best vs write a check. Thanks for the advice!
As of mid September, all of the income from our customer invoices remains at the Customer level not the project level. Previously we were able to create a single customer invoice and combine billable expenses for various projects into one invoice. The income, as long as it was linked to a billable expense for the project would track back correctly to the Project. This was great and was easy to see estimates versus actuals for both costs and expenses. Around 9/18, this all changed. I can still create an invoice at the customer level using the billable expenses for the different projects, BUT the income NO LONGER tracks back to the project. This is making it a nightmare to track progress invoicing. My customers want a single invoice - not one for each project. Is anyone else seeing this same issue? Is there a solution I am missing so I can send my customers one invoice, but still keep visibility in Project Profitability?
Is it possible to show the Customer on the Estimate PDF?For instance, we have a customer like "Company Name:Location:Spring Install"It's set to bill back to "Company Name".When we create an estimate, it only says "Customer Name". Is there any way to have it say "Spring Install"?
How do I remove the QR code from the invoices. It is generating the code on the invoice automatically which is something new that hasn't been there before.
Hi, Does anyone know how to have a group of memorized transactions that have a bill date of the 1st of the month, have a due date of the last day of the month? Currently when entering a group of memorized transactions for bill date 8/1/22, its saying the due date is also 8/1/22 and we want it to be 8/31/22. I tried creating a terms list and applying it to all the customers, but that didn't work. If I manually enter the statement charge and enter a bill date of 8/1/22, it will only then automatically fill the due date with 8/31/22. Thanks,Amanda
Does anyone know how to disable certain credit cards or payment methods (PayPal, Venmo) in the GoPayment app? I was told that this was possible, but can't figure out how to disable the unwanted ones. TIA!
We over paid on fuel tax. I received a check back and i need to know how to record it in QB onlinethank you
We have a lot of customers, and a lot of invoices per customer. Some of our customers want to receive individual invoices, and some prefer to receive statements. Is there any way for me to bulk send specific invoices without me manually checking the box next to each invoice and batch invoicing from there? I was thinking if I could upload a CSV of all the invoices I want to be sent as individual invoices, and that bulk upload sends those invoices. Then customers who want a statement I could go in and do that separately. All the customer invoices are already in QuickBooks, but I just want to bulk send without checking specific invoice boxes (due to the large quantity).
