Many times, vendors request that our account number with the vendor appear on the check for payment. Is there a way of automatically inserting the account number (if one exists) on the remittance stub of the check for payment? It would be helpful if QB provided that as an option to appear in the memo area or in a new field that would appear on the check stub, but perhaps someone has a workaround that isn't too time consuming. Thanks in advance. I am submitting a suggestion via Feedback, but I'll probably be pushing up daisies before that ever becomes part of the package.
I know this answer is simple.. I have an invoice listed for 250.50, but the amount paid in the bank was 250.60, I can NOT think of the proper solution.. I'm second guessing everything!
HelloI was curious if there is a way to receive a report or set up a workflow notification for any invoices that have "delivery issues" due to whatever reason? We've had several instances where we have assumed an invoice has been emailed... we will successfully rec'v a copy to our own inbox - but the invoice ends up being marked with "delivery issue" in quickbooks and we don't catch it until it becomes overdue and realize it never went out in the first place. Once upon a time these used to show up in tasks but no longer appear to do so. We're currently having to remember to go look for these on the invoices page which unfortunately isn't proving to be efficient. Are there any notification options for these? Thanks

Is there a card reader that works with QuickBooks Online?
System-recorded fee for QuickBooks Payments. Fee-name: DiscountRateFee, fee-type: Daily. How would I know what deposit this relates to?Second question is when I get a payment from a multi use payment link, it won't let me change the name from "not assigned" to my client name because it is tied to a deposit. Any way to fix this?
Problem:My bank's online banking platform changed June 17. Since then, invoice payments received from my customers (via Intuit Quickbooks) that are automatically recorded by the system to the holding account (undeposited funds) are NOT being automatically moved to my checking account when the bank deposits the payments. History:We use Intuit QB to invoice customers who pay us through their invoices using ACH. Historically, the QB system would automatically place the deposits into a holding account (undeposited funds). Once the bank made the funds from the deposit available, QB would automatically move the funds from the holding account to the checking account. Atlantic Union Bank changed its online banking platform on June 17 (the routing # and account # did NOT change). I changed the "Deposit Account" under "Payments" in "Account and Settings" to add a link to the bank's new online platform ("Atlantic Union Bank - New Online Banking"). &nb
I am beyond angry. I processed a VERY large payment to a vendor. I had already established the sending of funds with a small payment of $100.00. Everything seemed to be working. Payment was taken from our account and it was to post into my vendors account on the 26th. Here it is July 3rd and the money is not in my account or our vendors. I called on July 1st because the vendor still had not received the funds. The payment failed (the name on the check did not save on my end but the test payment had the same name) and NO COMMUNICATION from QB that the payment was not going through. June 26th to July 1st is enough time the system should have triggered an email to let us know. Not like the emails are not attached to the account. July 1st call, I authorized QB to recall the transaction and was told the funds would be in the account in a few hours. It has been 2 days and no money has been returned. I do not believe that QB finds th
My company made a business liability insurance payment in December 2023. The payment was for Jan, Feb and Mar 2024. Taxes have been filed. The books are closed. There is no changing the date on the payment or adding it to an accrued asset account. How can I bring this to 2024 without changing last years books? Or should I just accept what is done is done and nevermind that my P&L looks like I didn't pay liability insurance for the first quarter in 2024? Any input is appreciated.
I have a business in which I sell home goods like decor and furniture. I do not have the items in my inventory. When the client orders, I invoice the client... they pay me directly through their credit card. I then proceed to buy the "product" with my cc and have it sent directly to them. In this case, no purchase order was needed. But I can use the estimate form. What chart of accounts do I set up for the product and how?How do I account for all of these procedures in QB?Is the item COG? Expense?

I just created a test payment using the Go Payment app. Now I want to delete it. In the drop down there is no option to delete. For CC payments I get an option to refund the customer. With the cash payment there is no option for this. I just want to delete this transaction. Thanks!
I've used the app for well over a year with no issues. When I try to log in I get a "We've experienced a glitch. Our developers are working on it." The software is up to date. I started calling tech support two days ago and am told I'll be contacted by the engineers/developers. This is how we take payments from customers...so needless to say its important. I've tried a second device with the app and am getting the same error.
we currently use - Quickbook Desktop. We currently pay suppliers by check. I want to move to paying suppliers by ACH via Quickbook Desktop. I am seeking direction on how best to proceed. We have hundreds of suppliers.....
My mom used my company credit card for amazon by accident. I paid the credit card bill from my company as I always do. She paid me cash for the error and I wrote a personal check to my company to reimburse. How do I show the reimbursement without showing it as income? And how do I show the expense without it being an actual expense.... just an error in her judgement :)?
Let me start by saying we have used Quickbooks for our business for 10 years! with little to no problems, until this spring. We had a client who processed a charge back in the amount of $7,130 for a job they no longer wanted to do but didn't give us an option to set up a payment plan with them (they had accidentally paid the full invoice against our advise). Because we didn't have $7,130 in our bank account our bank rejected this and it bounced back, so they processed it again..and again. Until May 10th when payments from another invoice were put on hold, what we later found out was these funds went to pay the chargeback-that is fine! That money was owed to and needed to be refunded. We thought after a month of no communication with Quickbooks, not understanding of whats going on and daily calling into customer services, without ANYONE having a clue whats going on, we thought it was over with until this last week. We had another batch of invoices get paid by another client and Quickboo
Why is my profit going up and spending down when paying off business card used to purchase equipment needed for jobs when it should increase spending and decrease profit?
When making payments to vendors using bill pay why is it not possible to get the check number that was sent to the vendor? If the vendor has an issue finding my payment I don't have a check number so I cannot supply them with a number to look up in their system to see if they received it.
Is there a way to verify if the memo I added to the check was actually printed on the check. When they send confirmation that the payment is being processed the line that says "memo printed on check" is blank. How can I be sure the memo was printed on the check?
When I go to the customers account, edit, Payments - it has a drop down box but nothing is in the drop down box. It is blank. I have payments set up in the all list section under payments, the options that are set are Credit Card and Check. These options are not available to me when I am in any customers account trying to pick a payment method... Why is that?Shouldn't check or credit card be an option in the drop down box under payment in the customers profile since I have this listed and set up as payment methods in QB?
One CSR said my funds would be available in one day. Then when I acted on that to close a sale they said 5 days. I lost the sale! What transactions do you need to check out?! If you think you’re going to withhold my funds further I’ll get an attorney. There’s nothing illegal in anything I do. Your CSR told me if I did the first $1 transfer all other transfers would have immediate credit. Then I find out that’s not accurate and this $12,500 wired to me for a sale which had to be remitted to my aircraft operator vendor the next day for me to keep the sale. QB messed that up and I lost $1600 profit. Now I have to return that $12500.00 once it clears tomorrow and you want to tell me now you have to look at it closer first???!!! Why??!! I need a manager to call me asap. I will speak with an attorney tomorrow, but I’m sure your corporate attitude is you’re so big and I’m just a small business you can run all over me legally. My purchasing your service has turned into a total nightm
How do I show a debit card expense that was later cancelled out when the item was returned?
what category do you choose when you payback short term loans from business partners and do you use the same category for the interest or is another category you should use?
