I'm a subscriber to QB on line payroll which understand includes paying and filing necessary payroll tax returns. I got a payroll notice from Oregon dated March 10 2025, complaining that\ a number of required Oregon payroll reports had not been filed for 3 different quarters. I uploaded it promptly and received the automatic acknowledgement with a promise that a human\ would review things and report back. it's now been 4 weeks and I've heard nothing. In the past I've at least gotten a human acknowledgement that someone was looking at the issue. To date I've been unable to determine if anyone looks at these things. What's wrong.? [PII Removed]

Anyone else having this problem?
I have QB Desktop. I printed out my 1099 NEC and gave them to my subcontractors. One new Sub gave me the wrong SS# and filed his taxes using the wrong number on his 1099NEC. I need to correct it but my accountant is giving me instructions that don't match with my QB. He says I need to check off the Correction box and zero out the amount. I can not understand how to do that.
The way I have it set up now, it only takes out city taxes.I don't understand how it determines when they are in the county and when they are in the city jurisdiction.
We are a public Fire District and are exempt from FUTA
QB is "deducting/collecting" one amount of Labor & Industries tax (verified) but is reporting a different $$ amount on the Worksheet. Example: the amount collected is $9.42 but the Worksheet shows $9.70. How can this be? Both numbers should be the same as they are both driven by QB. My clients tax payable account is constantly short, not by much, but still. Does anyone know how this can happen and how to fix it? I have verified the percentages to be deducted are the same as required by the Department.

I use QuickBooks Online (QBO). Be forewarned, I have NO accounting background other than my experience with QBO, Google searches, and YouTube videos. I have only recently achieved a slight understanding of Debits and Credits (thanks to YouTube). My tax entries on all of my rental income invoices are automatically recorded into my Tax Center and are located in liability account named "State of Texas Accounts Payable in my Chart of Accounts. When I originally set up the Auto Tax feature in QuickBooks Online I did not understand how it was supposed to work. I did not know I was supposed to use the Tax Center to record PAYMENT of those taxes. Instead, I set up an expense account for the State under the "Taxes Paid" category and recorded each tax payment as an expense. Now, three years later, I have a large Accounts Payable balance on my balance sheet. So, I HAVE paid ALL of the taxes owed but the Tax Center and my balance sheet sh
Has anyone had troubles with a quarterly report using incorrect information? State of Maine UC-1 report is using old rates. I've verified QuickBooks has the correct rates in the payroll set up, QuickBooks is factoring the correct amounts taken out, my liability to pay was accurate but the tax report UC-1 is incorrect. I don't see any where to adjust change the report.
Not enough Federal income tax is being withheld from an employee. How do I fix this?
Went online to pay my State Unemployment insurance and the number the State gives me differs from my QuickBooks amount. I have QB Online. Yes, my rate at the State and the rate in my QB account are the exact same percentage. I inputted the gross earnings into the State Website, it multiplied the appropriate percentage, and gave me a dollar amount. That amount differs from the amount in QB despite the correct percentage. MY ISSUE: It appears that QB is reducing the gross amount for some reason and that number is being incorrectly used for calculation purposes. No idea what is being improperly deducted from the gross amount, or why. Haven't changed anything recently as I haven't needed to. Small business with one employee. Percentage has not changed at the State level for going on three years now. At the time of this writing, I have been on hold, without talking to a live human being, for 59 minutes. Is anyone alive at QB
My sales tax liability report is showing the wrong amount. I click "Adjust" and jump through the hoops, but when I return to the Pay Sales Tax window, the incorrect amount still appears. I've gone ahead and completed the transaction but the adjustment is not reflected in the payment amount as shown in the check register.
I am trying to file my taxes and it appears the only option is to send information to my accountant. I don't have an accountant that I use to file taxes.
My 4th quarter for 2023 shows up as my 1st quarter estimated payment for 2024 and my 4th quarter payment for 2024 paid in Jan 2025 is not credited to my estimated tax payments in quickbooks self employed. How do I adjust this?
