The app confirms upload by saying QB is now extracting information from your receipt. But then when I later browse to the receipts list some appear to be missing. Is there a log file of receipt snap uploads? Or failed uploads?
I need to reconcile the company credit card and, after a number of weeks of no connection, the summary totals don't match - in order to spot the issue it would be helpful to be able to see the monthly totals to try and match with the statements.
We sold an engine on behalf of a customer so need to apply this money to his outstanding Invoices to reduce the amount owed to us.
We invoice one customer every month for support services. The customer is based in the USA. We send two invoices (covering two separate months) every eight weeks. The customer then pays for both invoices in one payment to reduce international bank transfer fees. We receive the payment minus the fees. The fees are taken out of the payment before they get to our bank account. Could anyone advise how we record these payments in QB as it's causing a tangle in our reporting? Many thanks for your help.

Within the business a customer secures a booking by paying a deposit of £50. This is set up within QB as a current liability and is listed against the customer within the Deposit report. If the customer cancels the booking at short notice this £50 is forfeited. What transaction do I do within Quickbooks to reflect this. I want to ideally do a contra on the current liability deposit report specifically against the customer so when I look at that customer in the report at a later date it shows £0 deposit. (£50/-£50).The other side should be credited to income. Any advice as to the transactions necessary would be appreciated. Thank you
I just clicked on 'disallowable expenses' and it lists a ton of random car expenses which are allowable. Why?
Does anyone know if its possible to add carriage returns to invoice item descriptions in Quickbooks Self-Employed? I'm used to adding long descriptions and listing the tasks I carried out for the client (this was very easy to do in Freshbooks - which I used previously). I'm using a PC laptop. Any advice much appreciated.
Help! I snapped receipts with my Quickbooks app, then later filled in missing info using Quickbooks online and created expenses. These expenses have not matched with banking transactions, yet the info is the same. How do i match them as if i create a new expense, won't i be duplicating them? This has happened to about 20 receipts. I need to attach some to client invoices so want to ensure i do this correctly.Many thanks, Debs
I have customers who receive specific product discounts depending on quantity. I do not wish to apply discount to the whole estimate or invoice.
Recently moved from Xero. We regularly pay suppliers monthly or fortnightly for a number of invoices. Fairly often suppliers will still request a remittance. In Xero I would locate the payment and it would easily show the associated invoices and send a remittance. I can find no such function in QB. Google searches are suggesting QB cannot do this and they can only be sent one at a time? I tried the suggestion of ticking each bill in transactions but the batch option to send remittance is greyed out. Also this method requires me to find all the invoices again so quite arduous. I want to go from the single payment (which has been correctly matched to multiple invoices) and easily send a remittance. Surely QB can do this? I have tried Business and Accounting modes although I tend to only use the latter.
Hi everyone as title suggests, I'm using simple start so I don't have access to the workflows and ability to create my own variables to use, but I'm currently using the message to customer to attached the address of where the work was completed at, which is seperate to the billing address, all I'm after is replicating how the invoice auto populates the subject line of the email with your invoice number with this message to customer also? Is this possible and if so what would the variable look like? I'm assuming it would be something like [MessageToCustomer.] If it is possible? Thanks for any help anyone provides!
What does voiding a transaction mean in QuickBooks?
The app just isn't working for me. I've had to delete and reinstall it so many times for it to still say, my invoice can't be sent as there's something not right on it. How do I contact QuickBooks themselves as this is a nightmare of an app
I run community projects and I want the students from each project to be in groups relating to the project so it is easier to monitor and organise.
In my sales report it looks like I have earned double, which would have been nice if it were true! I have created invoices and when the deposits were made I have clicked paid. However the payments are also showing as deposits. I am not sure which to delete or how. I hope some one will be able to explain.thanksKR
Hi,My stripe account within QB has become a giant mess! it doesn't balance with multiple errors across thousands of transactions.I had 2 stripe accounts which imported into one QB stripe account, one of these accounts only ran for about a month the other is still in use.When I run a report on Stripe, the data looks as it should but within QB all the dates are different and some of the ammounts are split with no consistency.I was wondering if there is a way to basically delete all data in the stripe accounts from them starting (early 2022) and then import the two accounts worth of transactions to quickbooks. If I do this, will it mess up the transactions that have been marked as paid from the current data or will it sync ok?
