After transferring from QB desktop, I have almost 200 open invoices, which have been paid and were closed on desktop but now show as open with QBO. I can close each one down by manually recording the payment against the invoice, but this is very time-consuming. Is there a way of closing all these in one go?

I am a one-man band and my accounts are not fully synchronised with my bank, which is causing problems when generating invoices. Instead of sending the correct amount + VAT, it's showing a net outstanding amount which is almost always wrong. I can't see how to turn this 'feature' off. Can someone advise please? I appreciate I need to get on top of things with Quickbooks, but is there a quick fix in the meantime so my clients receive an invoice for the actual amount due? Many thanks
Hi Folks, Is there a simple way to handle HS codes within QB online? We have export invoices and have to show HS codes and Country of Origin for each individual item on any export invoice. Easy to do in our QB Desktop version but with the 'unwanted forced change' to the online version in the next few weeks, how does one handle them simply as we have QB Desktop allows me to have a Custom field for an item and we can put the HS code in that and apply the field to a custom invoice. Similarly, I have to show any EU customers EORI number on an invoice for EU customs purposes. One has to show that to have any hope of customs clearance. There doesn't appear to be any field under customers to put that information? Finally, for each order line entered, I have to manually enter the VAT code, whereas with the desktop version this information is pulled through from the customer / supplier centre i.e. I tell QB Desktop that an export custom
I need to enter a supplier credit note, I go to New, Supplier Credit but the minute I put in the suppliers name it brings up an old supplier credit with all the items listed (in this case 59 items). I asked support and they told me that I need to delete each line, is this correct? when don't I get a clean slate - Regards Mario
Hi,We sent a refund to a customer and included the word 'Refund' in his Refund Receipt Number box. Now whenever we create a new invoice, the Invoice Number box always has the word Refund at the end. How can we rectify this issue please?
need to split one payment into several expenses accounts
My old invoices and my list of clients is not showing
I'm a complete newcomer to QBO and am struggling with the many choices of transaction type when categorising bank transactions.I am UK based and operate as a sole-trader in the IT world, but also have income from an annex to our house that I rent out.One challenge is the payment from the tenant ... they pay a monthly amount which includes rent and a contribution to electricity (our annex does not have its own meter so we split the electricity bill between the annex and the main house). In the UK, for a few months, the government also paid an energy credit which we split 50/50 with the tenant (again: because the two properties are on one single shared supply - so we only get one credit payment between us). The tenant has also been paying off a historical debt that built up over covid. So we get a monthly payment that covers.- a month's rent.- a month's worth of electricity- a payment towards clearing the debt- a deduction for 50% of the energy credit. So - how do I classify these four par
As a new user I've set up locations as a means of recording for 2 sites. However I've now got my first invoice payable where I need to split between the 2 locations. How can I record the split please? Thank youDave
It is now more than three weeks since this bug (re)appeared & still no admission, never mind any action! The previous (correct) operation was this...New Bill / Expense / Invoice / Cheque - the top left box (Supplier / Customer / Payee) was already active, i.e. the cursor was in there ready to type the name. Current (wrong) operation is now...New Bill / Expense / Invoice / Cheque - the top left box (Supplier / Customer / Payee) is not active, i.e. the box must be clicked before entering the name. Please re-instate the previous code. From a data-entry / productivity point of view the new operation is so much slower - it makes QBO an absolute pain in the a**e to use.Why have a keyboard shortcut (ctrl.alt.s) for Save & New when you then have to reach for the mouse to click a box before you can enter anything on the new transaction? Oh ... & if this wasn't irritating enough, the same applies DOUBLE for the Product/Service & Category columns. One click - n
