Issue: Scheduled Backup not working. I tested a scheduled backup, check location no backup made, look at Backup Scheduler it is now scheduled for the next day at appointed time but no back will be made and no error messages. Manual Backup (at same location as scheduled) works fine as does Restore. I just bought a new Windows 10 Pro box my Windows 7 box crashed and scheduled backup worked fine on it. I got locked out of Desktop version QuickBooks 2018 after the system forced me to reset password.I logged into my account on line to verify the credentails. Am not able to reset the password manually or with the Automated password reset tools as the system does not recognize a Phone number I am putting into the dialog box. I am looking at my profile on liune and copying as is, and the system says " wrong phone number" Need some help reseting password
I just created two new expense categories.Now these two are at the top of the expense report in a Standard P&L instead of being in alphabetical order.
I have been having trouble trying to figure out how to set up Multi User Mode in Quickbooks Pro 2014. I work in a small office so only me and one other employee will be accessing Quickbooks. I understand that I need to purchase a seperate license number in order for both of us to access and work on the same company file at the same time, but I am not sure what else I need to do to link my laptop and her desktop. From what I've read online and in the help section it seems like I may need to get a server (or convert an old PC to a server) but before I purchase anything I want to make sure that this is actually what I need. Does anyone have any insight on this issue? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance to anyone that may be able to help me better understand what I need to do from here.
Our multi user platform was working...and now it is not functioning. The Admin system is operational, but the secondary multi-user is unable to open the company file. We are getting an error. No company file is available (screen says No Company File Open). When we select "Open or Restore a Company", then "Open a Company File" - upon selecting the appropriate file in the designated path (data source name file).qbw - we receive the error code -6150 -1006 (We're sorry, but Quickbooks cannot open your company file). We have run the Quickbooks Desktop File Doctor on both PC's and no issues are found. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Software used: QuickBooks Premier Plus Contractor Edition 2019-Desktop Needed: A report showing all payments made to vendors with type of payment, check number, etc. We are a General Contractor. I need a report showing all payments made to a vendor by job. I know that report does not exist with the information I mentioned above. I can get around that by putting the job number in the memo field of the bill, credit card charge, etc. I need one report that shows all the payments for insurance audits also. I have not been able to create this report with accurate information. The amount is correct in job cost and on the 1099. However, I can’t seem to get a transaction report that shows the correct amount paid. My problem seems to be occurring from a refund I received. How do I change my company file from cash to accrual?
Something strange is going on with my Job Profitability Report. One specific service item is showing zero under Actual Revenue. It looks like we never billed for it (it's a payroll line item). When we checked the customer invoices (there were about a dozen invoices), that item is definitely there along with some other payroll items that we passed to the customer. Others show up fine on the Profitability Report, but this one does not. We checked another Job where we billed for the same Service Item, and it doesn't show up there as well. Is there a setting or something that disables a service item from showing as a revenue in the Profitability Detail report?
I received a call from a representative 2 days ago and he said that he need to talk to me about some suspicious activity and gave me the number [removed]. I've been trying to talk to someone every day since and I haven't been able to talk to anyone. I'm constantly on hold for 20-40 minutes before I eventually loose signal. Considering upgrading to Desktop 2017 Pro version. If I purchase 2 users, can both users access QB simultaneously from different job sites? If so, where should the data file be stored?
I've assigned Full Access as far as payroll to one of my employees, so she could update all of the Employee files with titles and hire/term dates. However, whenever she opens an Employee record there are warnings popping up about not being able to create paychecks dated today, and downloading new tax tables. The same warnings pop up when she tries to save any changes, and she has to cancel out rather than save changes.I don't get these warnings when I try to do the same thing. I have downloaded and installed all available payroll updates. I don't understand why a note about creating paychecks would pop up every time we try to access an employee record, and haven't seen that happen before.I've attached a screenshot of the warning about creating paychecks.
After going thru the process of changing my admin password, the system gives an error message that it can't change the password at this time.
I am needing to change the email of the primary user, who is actually myself. It will not allow me do so. Therefore, I cannot login because it is automatically bringing up an old email address/user name to login.
Can I access, view and print reports from Quick Books on the server?
I am a new Qb user. Recently i created my chart accounts, but when i created my first sales receipt i considered it as a income, i expected that payment was applied as a income cash and cash equivalents, in positive number because is a sale, is a income, positive number, but it was not. The sales appears as negative number in the account cash and cash equivalents. Why? What i am doing wrong??
when I click file>send forms>send now, the invoices listed all show as being sent. Some do not send and there is no way of knowing which did or did not actually go.
