Hi all, Am going to be switching accounts mid-way through the tax year (from a split personal & business account to a 100% Business account) and am wondering if there's a way to hide an account so that future transactions on the existing split account don't show, whilst keeping previously reviewed transactions visible? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Cheers,Callum
In the banking feeds transaction list, now and again when a payment matches a journal entry the standard VAT code is applied. Most of the time the VAT code is blank which is correct as VAT is not relevant to the transaction. Pic attached. Please advise if this is just a glitch and if I accept the payment with the VAT whether the VAT account is affected.
After Brexit the HMRC will be charging vat on goods imported from the EU, the supplier does not put vat onto their invoices as for them the goods are being exported outside the EU. So there would be no invoice as such with the vat on it, but we will need to accounts for this vat in our quarterly vat returns
Hi, I have a number of deposits and payments that are done via card payment and bank transfer from my customers (we take payment after our job is complete on site) Problem I have is that some of these are now showing as debtors and the overall amount is quite significant What’s the best thing to do ? AND....how do it do it ? For example if I need to raise invoices to net off the deposit or payment then how do I do this and match it to the deposit or payment ?
