I am starting a bookkeeping business at home.I want to know if there's a simple QuickBooks I can do clients monthly bookkeeping for the end of year figures for their accountants without them having to be registered with QuickBooks.I have been using QuickBooks for years for 8 practitioners on Simple Start but there doesn't seem to be anything on offer to work this way anymore.

Is there a quick way to make customers inactive where their latest transaction is more than 6 years old, without having to select each one individually?
Does anyone know how I can show a bill as on hold, so it will be flagged to not pay?
I am using QuickBooks Desktop. Is there a report available which shows a running total per invoice for a customer, so e.g. i invoice a customer on 1/1/2021 for £1,000, and then they pay £500 on 5/1/2021, £250 on 1/2/2021, and the final £250 on 1/3/2021. I then send another invoice on 1/2/2021, and the customer pays £750 on 5/2/2021, and £250 on 5/4/2021. Rather than clicking on each individual invoice, is there a report which shows the invoice, and the associated payments for each invoice, with a running total per invoice.
I searched for 'Simon' this morning. I eventually found the customer using a different method, but 'Simon' is recorded under the main customer record as a first name and wasn't found.
It's tempting just to go in and change the surname on the account. But I would not want to lose the account data under the previous name.
I have been using QB online for sometime and my customer database is huge and includes lots of customers who haven't purchased for years. How can I remove multiple customers in one go?
Hi Occasionally quickbooks self employed seems to auto catogorise a snapp receipt from one of my suppliers as 'cost of goods for resale' when in fact they are 'other business expense' Is there some way I can have ALL my purchases defer to 'other business expense'? and one more question I want ALL my driving to be categorised as 'business' how do I do this without having to manually change each trip? many thanks Tim
