Is there a way to import addition and deduction payroll item types onto our employees paychecks when doing payroll? We use QB Desktop Enterprise Gold Edition.

Hello! We have several categories set up for payroll withholdings that share the same vendor (i.e. our 401k has pre-tax, pre-tax over 50, Roth, Roth over 50, company contribution) - before the update in December of 2023, when I went to pay from the liabilities screen, it would combine these into one payment in QB. Now it creates several separate entries in QB. How can I get this to go back to doing 1 entry?
My quickbooks online has a state that I do not pay taxes to in it. How can I delete this state from my account?
The PIN number for the Third party designee does not print in the squares provided on the forms. Is there a fix?
form 940 has an amount due for the credit reduction
There is not an option to input a foreign address in Quickbooks Online 1099 tab
I just ran my first payroll for period ending 12-31-2024 with a check date of 1-3-25. The GL mapping is set, however no journal entry to post payroll has come through. Do I manually have to do a journal entry to accrue the expenses and liabilities in December?
Intuit e-filed our year-end 2023 form 940 which indicated that a payment of $420 was due (FUTA tax credit reduction payment). But Intuit said they could not pay it and I should pay it directly to the IRS. Now I need to update the payroll liability account so I can categorize the tax payment that I made. But there is no entry for $420 in the liability account. Since I am using quickbooks on-line full service payroll, there is no option for me to adjust payroll tax liabilities
**INFORMATION ON W-2 FORMS IS INCORRECT**Box 3 only allows the maximum social security wages of $160,200 which is the 2023 maximum and the calculated amount for box 4 of $9,932.40.The correct maximum for the 2024 year is $168,600 and the calculated amount for box 4 should be $10,453.20. The software does not allow me to override box to the correct maximum of $168,600, it states that Box 3 is too large.Intuit support for that software seems to be non-existent. Any advise would be helpful. Thanks for your help.
I recently received a letter from the IRS that said, I needed to file my W-2s trough e-file and that I also needed to create a TCC, in order to e-file. I also created an account with ID.me. I have never utilized the option to e-file through QB, I have always mailed them. So, my question is if I e-file through QuickBooks now, do I need to file again using my TCC number or does that cover everything, just filing through QB?
For some reason, some of my employee pay stubs have Qty instead of Hours on them. I've checked everything and it says Hours everywhere it should say it. Employees are always set up the exact same way and I've even looked in Company Preferences. Any idea why this would happen for hourly employees?
I am having trouble getting anyone to help me fix this issue. I am in Vermont and we have a Child Care Contribution that we need to pay as the employer and I have it in my payroll accounts list and it shows coming out on the employer side when I do payroll but when i go to the pay liabilities section the account does not show up there to give the total that needs to be paid by me the employer. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Have contacted QB but they only keep sending me articles about how to take it out of the employee
family leave for employee not working
I have Quickbooks Desktop assisted payroll. I need to correct a deduction for an employee contribution to an HSA account in a payroll I ran earlier this month. I deducted a pre-tax deduction for an HSA from an employee's paycheck by mistake. I need to correct my payroll liability and reimburse the employee the amount. I know the employee with not get the full amount as I need to make sure the reimbursement gets taxed (as it was previously taken out pre-tax). I found some previous threads which seemed to describe something close to my problem and were somewhat helpful but now I can't seem to find them again. But I had some additional questions too. -When setting up a new payroll item which I plan to call "Reimbursement for Employee HSA deduction", I am not sure how what expense account to have this payroll item affect? I assume just "Payroll liabilities"? -And when setting up the item, I am not sure what to choose u
How do I fix in QBO the employer's Simple IRA Match to be limited to the employee's contribution?
I need to change the email that prints out on the W3 submittal form. Where do I do that?
SIMPLE IRA contributions/deductions are done pre-tax for the employee's check (right?). We did one for one of our employees - paid her an amount of which most of it was for a SIMPLE IRA withholding. The amount calculated and withheld by QBO for taxes used the entire (wages + SIMPLE contrib) amount to calculate and withhold local taxes. Thus, too much was withheld. I thought QBO PR treated SIMPLE contributions as pre-tax so that the withholding tax for local (as well as fed and state) should only be on the wages part. Can anyone explain....am I wrong? Or tell me how to fix it (for next year) Thanks.
When will QBO be updated to allow for Post-Tax contributions to a SIMPLE plan?
I have an employee that was given a non-cash gift. I've tried following the instructions found here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/taxation/create-zero-net-paycheck/L2cNLCiTe_US_en_USbut when I try to edit the check, I don't have the option to edit the deduction amount. I've also tried to change the deduction amount to the gift amount, but it's still now showing. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
I've used QB desktop and now QB online, but have never had issues printing "payroll summary by Employee Reports" until now. The "printer friendly" QB Online report gives me a cropped off version of my full report despite manipulation of the printer settings, (I've had others attempt it as well). Is there a trick to this I've missed? Landscape printing does not fix it, neither does changing printers.
