I have setup the QBO Advanced Payroll for the first time and setup pensionsync.I havent run a payroll yet but wish not to have the pensionsync-ing, I would prefer to manually do this after I am completely happy that everything is ok with the payroll run details.I believe it is not possible to unlock/delete a payrun/rerun if pensionsync set ( which could be likely as we get used to it, due to us using this instead of QB desktop payroll :-) So how do I unsync? Thanks
Hey there, so bear with me but this is all new. I have a small business that was started in July 2019. There wasn't a huge amount of activity in the business, but as a Director, I loaned £564 which was paid into the Director's Current Account in Quickbooks. I worked on the business' first project and the business got paid for the work. The first mistake I made was that I then invoiced the business as a Director in order to pay myself. Doing this left my Director's Current Account in a negative balance before Year End, because I paid myself more than my initial £564 loan had been.I have since realised this is not the way to pay myself, and have set up Payroll. In order to try and fix my issue with the Director's Current Account, I have run payroll for September 2020 and October 2020. Instead of actually paying the money from the business bank account (because I had already paid myself with these invoices in 2019), I transferred the salary liability, debiting the bank account and crediti
How do I claim Employers Allowance for previous years using Quickbooks Online Payroll?
This is a followup from an old conversation where Advanced Payroll did not take Employers Allowance into consideration. While Advanced Payroll now adds line items for the employers allowance in the payroll journal entries, it does not include these figures in the P32 report (it reports £0), nor does it give you the ability to edit the report. So currently DON'T assume the figure for HMRC owing in the P32 is correct and make an HMRC payment based on that figure. I have tried reporting this issue to Intuit, but after having been politely accused of changing HMRC's PAYE settings after running payroll (despite the journals reflecting the EA), being asked to delete the payroll and try again, the last straw was having to explain where the Employers NI figures were on the P32 so I am currently waiting for case escalation. Intuit never fails to disappoint.
If you currently have staff on furlough and you bring them back in part of a payroll month you will want to create two payroll types furlough pay along side someones normal salary but you may find that QB advanced payroll online does not calculate the pension payments correctly. I am waiting for them to fix the issue as it is preventing me processing last payslips. If you think this will be an issue for you as well please say so by posting here so QB sorts out the problem and produces a bugfix asap. Many thanks.
I am running payroll in preparation for Friday and when I click on run payroll it goes to the next window and asked me to save and view draft but it doesn’t show list of employees or allow me to enter/change amounts like it normally does. When I click save and view draft it’s still blank on the next page
Hi, with the changes announced in the budget that employees will have to self isolate and get SSP for it how do we update this in QuickBooks so they get paid correctly? I would assume QuickBooks is running off the standard rules for SSP. I'm surprised there has been no official update on this situation from Intuit?
