Just signed up to QB self employed and so disappointed with the functionality.I am a returning QB user from when I ran a VAT registered company using QB desktop which was brilliant. I now do the accounts for my daughter's business and having started with QB self employed find that I can't even add a cash payment as there is no facility to create cash account.I can't post bank receipts against invoices or produce a client statement.I can't see accounts receivable.I think this is the most useless accounting software and so surprised that QB think this is adequate.I see in Q&As about posting cash payments references to this can be done on QB online but what is QB online? It was not in the list of products so how do you use it?Thanks to anybody that has answers as I could have missed something.

Hi, This year has been my first year using Quickbooks Desktop. My financial year end was 30/06/2022, when I logged into QB this morning searching for an invoice, I got this message "There are no transactions of this type, Invoices, filtered by All Invoices in date range This Financial Year". I cannot access my 2022 invoices or bill or customer payments. Does anyone know how I can resolve this? Thank you.

I'm using QB online, now desktop has stopped being updated. Many invoices cannot be sent, QB reports that the email address being sent to, 'cannot be found', which is nonsense they are all correct and have been used in QB for years. My email provider is Outlook - MS 365 Very annoying to have to print PDFs and send individual emails. Please help!
We do not want to use the built in mileage tracking as employees are not set up as account admin.
What type of account would I use for Linen (towels, face cloths ect) would it be an expense account and what type?
I've only been using QBO for a few weeks, still running two companies in desktop version just so I can slowly ease my way into the online version. Although in the main I do like QBO, I've posted several posts regarding missing features, bugs, or just plain terrible ideas with how Intuit have gone about certain, very basic things. Now, in the several other threads about issues I either get told pretty much tough, that's how it is, or, use the feedback button and we'll look into it. Having read about the forums quite a bit, and I guess the forums will only scratch the surface of peoples grievances. It appears that many many questions about particular missing features are asked over and over. So as to aid in developing QBO to get up to scratch before the impending doom of QBD being turned off. I have a constructive suggestion for the developer at Intuit. This is not uncommon, and would actually help us the CUSTOMER understand what happens to feedback suggestion. Why d

Why can’t I send customers payment receipts any more on self employed ?
After the last two weeks of constant issues, missing features, zero feedback on feedback, pretty terrible customer serve to be blunt, and further to my previous thread https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/other-questions/re-lack-of-customer-engagement/01/1054725#M13633 I'm trying to make things better with QBO so I'm going to start this thread in the hope that someone at Intuit takes note and starts addressing issue for us PAYING CUSTOMERS migrating over from QBD. You have forced us into this corner so PLEASE HELP WITH BETTER FEEDBACK. Don't get me wrong, the core of the system isn't that far off, but there are some frankly stupid decisions being made with really basic features missing. Below is a list of issues or features which I've currently found so if anyone from Intuit would like to start engaging instead of just saying it's not possible to do that, please use the feedback process, that would be great. If another users would like to add to t
If I purchase QB online is the phone app free to use or does this require additional subscription?
On MileIQ I was able to auto-set all weekend drives to personal. This doesn't seem to be the case with QuickBooks meaning a lot of unnecessary swiping. I'd settle for being able to filter for weekend drives to select them as personal in one go.
Greetings! One of my customers paid an extra amount of GBP by mistake. I have only one open invoice to match the received payment. And I need to transfer the excess amount to his bank account later. Can anyone help me to record this scenario in QuickBooks.? I appreciate any help you can provide.

I tried adding the .ptb file to the file where it says save as when downloading, to no avail
We don’t want to migrate all data from our desktop to online QB, can I choose just the last 3 years to transfer? (We have over 12 years of data but don’t want it all transferred across to online, we don’t need that far back) as far as I can see it seems the only option is everything? Many thanks!
I have been a desktop user ever since the program was available but have had to reluctantly move to the online system as desktop is not being supported going forward. I have numerous issues with the online system but one that I am really struggling with is customising invoices. I don't mean customising the details that are shown /not shown on invoices within the template area where you can add logo's and edit what is / is not shown, I understand what can / cannot be done here but with the desktop version you could import a digital letterhead so that when you emailed invoices to customers they appeared to be on company letterheads, you could also print them out on plain paper if required. I have spoken to the UK online support about various issues and, to be honest, they seem to know less about the system and certainly less about accounting than I do and I end up on the phone for hours, mainly on hold, while they speak to someone else trying to get answers to the problems.&nbs
