Hello, I'm fairly new to QB and have run into a problem with a QB installation.QB client is installed on a device with multiple network adapters and the Quickbooks file/server is on a seprate win 10 pro machine. The issue:QB client disconnects very intermittent and displays the message:"The connection to the company file has been lost. Quickbooks must close immediately. Any unsaved data will need to be re-entered." (full message attached) I can replicate this exact behaviour by disabling the wi-fi adapter. Which makes me believe that QB is using the wi-fi adapter instead of the Ethernet adapter to communicate to the host and everytime there's a drop/loss of signal, it disconnects displaying the mentioned message. Now...how do I change QB from communicating to the host via the wi-fi adapter, to communicating with the host via the already configured Ethernet adapter? Thanks! **EDIT**This is for QB 2022 with multi user mode.

Can anyone tell me why this journal entry shows up in the Vendor's account (Shell) without the HST? I only see 26.55 in the Vendor account after this journal entry was posted.

I need a way to set up QBO payroll in order to deduct part of an employee's pay to be used to re-pay a loan that employee has to a 3rd party and still have the bank feed match the payroll, have the correct taxes deducted, etc. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!
Usually, they would come through and I would review/categorize them. However, they are no longer coming through and QuickBooks is still telling me that I'm "all caught up". Even though when I go to the transaction page, the bank balance and in quickbooks balance is different?
When using QBO to prepare a PO, the Header of one of the columns shows "Product/Service". However, when the PO is generated as pdf, the header only shows "Service", no "Product". It looks so stupid when the list of all the items showing on PO are goods not services. I tried to contact customer support, and received feedback as "we cannot do that since that feature is already defaulted by the Quickbooks software". I hope QBO technical team can fix this issue ASAP, as it is a very rookie mistake.
My boss, a general contractor, refuses to keep track of inventory because he says everything bought is used specifically for a project. I have uploaded detailed Home Depot receipts into QBO. They automatically enter line items. Where I am hitting a road block is, we do not have inventory but I need to show how much of each item was purchased for the project. Meaning, its somewhat inventory because we buy it, but we immediately use it and by it only because that project needs it. Example: Egg Shell white paint. I noticed that the cost of this item for the project was extremely high for what it should have been (by looking at homedepot.com and writing down every time it was bought and took hours). The project was projected to use 50 5 gallon buckets of that paint. When I was done calculating everything by hand, I realized that 86 were purchased instead of 50. We found out the painter had was purchasing for a different project of his but using our money to supply the pain
It seems there's a way to change the email template as I'm coming from my friend's house who recommended me Quickbooks Online and it's whats he's using. I told him if he was annoyed by the email template and he told me that it wasn't a problem for him. He showed it to me and his template is awesome. How do I switch to this template?
I use quickbook desktop 2021, My company's fiscal year is July 25th, Just wondering how to set up a specific year end date in quickbook. Under company information only allowed me to choose month, date is not available.
I've been using Turbotax for the last 10 years or so and plan on using it again as I do not do Corporate taxes yet. I hope to start doing them starting next year for this year. I found Turbotaxt to be very "Intuitive".
Every time I click the drop down menu then click 'use' on the recurring transaction, it takes me to the journal entry. I am not sure how to 'use' the transaction because when I try to edit the date that does not change the balance in the bank account; it just changes the journal date.
Hi, good afternoon! I am creating a PO template and I need to include a large field to add a note, for example, a Note field with 4095 characters. We usually include important information in the footer of the PO. So, I would like to know how I can include this field in the PO. The field should be displayed on the screen, once this information is written according to the PO. The field needs to be edited for each PO. It is NOT the same information for all POs. Thank you.
