My previous GST return showed a refund of $84.19, however the CRA sent me a cheque for only $80.74. I've entered the $80.74 as a refund but how do I deal with the $3.45 that the CRA kept? I need to file my next GST return but Quickbooks shows I have a credit of $3.45, when in reality it was paid as GST owing.

I've been unable to get a problem fixed for a client. They do construction jobs and often have credit amounts going in and out of AR related to retainage and DOT withholding. Normally these things will clear out to zero once the job finalizes but we've had one get stuck and nothing I do fixes it. Currently the way things are showing in QB is:A/R Aging shows -23,484.12Total A/R Aging balance is 995,638.36A/R Ledger and TB balance is 1,019,122.48Balance on job in customer center is currently zero Detail on the A/R Aging shows a mix of 3 unapplied payments and 2 credit memos. If I go to fix unapplied customer payments and credits, I can see all 5 of those but the amounts in this module do not agree with the A/R detail - in particular one credit memo is way off. Aging shows -11,742.06 for that memo. The fix unapplied payments module shows 3,446.85 available to apply for a difference of 8,295.21. But the credit memo itself was only issued for 1,495.44. We are starting a new line of business. The business setup is different than our current company Quickbooks setup. The manager of the new line of business has been using Quickbooks for his former business and it has all the templates items etc needed for the new line of business. Does it make sense to export his company file to a into our Quickbooks using a new company rather our existing company to allow for a clean setup of the templates. Or can this be done efficiently just exporting files into our current company. Can we setup a new company int Quickbooks even though its just another line of business

Have a strange issue reported by one of our clients. She tries to attach excel spreadsheet in Quickbooks > Invoices > Attach file, then when she goes in to verify the correct file was attached (by clicking Attach File) it appears to attach it again, showing 2 are attached but only 1 is listed in the attachment area and she can't remove any of them. Then when she tries to e-mail it, it gives an error Quickbooks is unable to send your emails to Outlook. Any ideas?
I am wondering if there is a way to sort of "waive" a payment - if I set up a customer with recurring monthly payments, and I find that my customer had a hardship/ or in treatment, somehow, they are unable to make a few payments, am I able to go in and "reverse" or "waive" the payments if I feel I can help out during my customers time of need? Further to this, if I wanted to do this for a 6 month period of time - is this possible? And one more thought on this - if my customer is behind on making payments (in arrears) and I would like to go back and "reverse or waive" some of these invoices, is this a possible thing?Thank you, Kalee
I have a customer with the payment terms 90 days plus eom plus 5 days. Is there any way to do that in QB?
Can someone recommend an app that clients can scan invoices to, and then the data is captured and exported to Quickbooks Desktop 2020 Canadian version please. Similar to what Receipt Bank or Hubdoc would do for the online version. Thanks
