We received a sea eidl loan in 2020. Our NPO changed our fiscal year and chart of accounts so we have started with a fresh QBO account. How do I set up the liability for the loan we still owe yet it has been spent so it would not be apart of our bank account balance any longer? Setting it up makes our opening balance equity account a negative on all reports.

Lately quickbooks has been totaling estimates incorrectly and also when I convert estimate to invoice total changing as well. Support says they don't know why and is not offering any solution.Check out the screen shot, it is crazy!
I am trying to record the purchase of a cashiers check from my bank account and used that check for the purchase of a trailer. I am not finding anything helpful on the steps to take to record the purchase. Can someone please provide the steps to take for this? I am using Quickbooks desktop version.

Trouble opening POS 19 -- could be a QB issue and/or a Microsoft Windows 10 issue.Suddenly, for some reason, when I open POS 19, a dialogue box pops up saying I may need a Windows Administrator password. (I am logged in as an admin.) I click "Next", the dialogue doesn't change, click "Next" again. At this point, Windows Controller dialogue opens and asks if I want to allow QB Utilities Setup to make changes to my device. I click "Yes", and it just loops back to the first QB dialogue box. (When this has happened in the past, when I clicked Yes, it proceeded to open POS.) Thoughts?
Has anyone actually figured out how to reconcile your square transactions in QBO. Making it easy? My QB is a mess from square and I am not sure how to fix it!! HELP
I am a 20+ user of QB Pro desktop and switched to QB Plus online and absolutely HATE it. QB online is a dumbed down version of QB desktop! Has anyone switched back to QB desktop? What info/data is lost in the conversion? Can I update an old desktop file with the data from the online version or do you have to create a new desktop file. I have some invoice templates in the desktop version that I want to use.
What happened to the Sync with Etsy app? It is no longer showing on the apps page. Only Etsy connector shows now? Even on the "Import transactions from your Etsy shop into QuickBooks Online" article the hyperlink for the Sync with Etsy app gives me the following error message- "Sorry. We can't seem to find the page you are looking for." Does anyone else have any issues adding this app for the first time?
Hello, Quickbooks has always had an options button you could choose before starting a backup. It let you choose the folder to back up to and also to choose whether or not you want to verify your data. Since upgrading to 2024 the options button has disappeared.
We are transitioning to doing PO in Quickbooks that can be received and then linked to Bill and then set up to schedule online payment. In getting ready to start issuing PO's we are importing a vendor and item list from our current PO program.MY Problem, as we add items we have to link it to an account. We will purchase items however that we need to be able to pick more than just one linked account. Is there a way under the item to put a dropdown box and be able to pick the account for that instance. For example if we buy an accelerometer just for use in the lab that item will need to link to an expense account BUT if we buy the same type accelerometer for a job it will need to go in a COGS account. Can an item be purchased and pick different accounts?

Ever since recent update of Desktop Quickbooks Pro Plus, inside the Statement area, under "Select Additional Options" the option "SHOW INVOICE ITEM DETAILS AS A DEFAULT SELECTION" is bullet pointed and is selected all the time as default. I have never used this selection and don't wish to use it. How can I get it set up so it IS NOT a default, so I don't have to un-tick it before printing a Statement. This just suddenly started being a default option....please help.
Loging into https://qbo.intuit.com/ ,https://accounts.intuit.com/, and even through https://quickbooks.com fails, although I can login to this community and account management with no problem. I'm able to enter my username and password, receive a text with validation code, enter the code, then the browser window shows a blank page with:"Hmmm… can't reach this page""Check if there is a typo in app.qbo.intuit.com" and "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN". I haven't been able to login to my online payroll account in a month as I first though their website was down. It's worked for me for years, then suddenly last month after Intuit updated their website, I can no longer login. I've worked with support 4 times on the phone and even chat with no joy. I've cleared cache, etc..., installed a new browser (Chrome), installed all Windows updates, rebooted, connected to networks in 3 different states, same issue every time. What is a sub customer and do I have access with basic online subscription
Ever since I decided to make ACH payments using an outside service, I have noticed the mailing addresses for vendors I have previously paid--via mailed / addressed check--have disappeared. Multiple vendors' addresses are just gone from their records, even though I can view less-than-year-old cleared checks with the mailing address printed on the check, so this is not just me speculating or not remembering correctly. Where did the vendors' addresses go???It's very annoying to have to re-add the same information to the vendor records.

I'm dealing with a company that has a monthly subscription service (charged at the end of every month) that provides free shipping for physical items at the client's request. So, for example Company X charges Client 1 at the end of the month for their subscription, two days later Client 1 orders <Physical Item>, which is shipped two days after the order and arrives a day after that. Hi all, I am trying to create and print multiple statements at once. Specifcally a transaction statement. I know that I can go to the customer, new transaction, and create statement. However, I need to do that almost 300 times every month for all the various customers. Do any of you know a way to create statements in bulk in a repeatable fashion?
When receiving the full redeemed price for a T-Bill back directly into my checking account how do I record this into my interest income account and then put the original purchase price (now in an (other current asset account) and the interest income back into the main checking account?Thanks
