I'm having trouble accurately printing checks. I have completed the alignment steps in Quickbooks so that the sample check aligns properly, but when I test print actual information from a check onto normal paper and hold it up to the light etc, it doesn't come even close to aligning with the check sheets. It's as if I never fine-tuned the alignment in the first place. What am I doing wrong?
I returned a product to the distributor. How do I enter this to reflect the refund and correct inventory?

Hi All, I have multiple major issues with this Backup and restore function that we have subscribed to in QBO Advanced subscription. If anyone can assist me regarding these it would be much appreciated, since the QBO support has long queues and didn't get a chance to solve this.These are the problems/concerns I have-1. The Backups have not run automatically since last February, even though it says that manual backups are required.2. Previous Backups were all gone - We changed the access of the Backup and Restore function on March 27th from the previous user to a new user. When the new user connects the company file (QBO) to the Backup and restore function it is clearly stated via a QBO Support person that all the previous Backups will be stored and accessible anytime. But later on, we happened to experience that all the backups that we run since Last year were gone or we couldn't see them.3. Incomplete Backup Runs - There are multiple Backups that were run and they still show as In
We recently switched to QB online and discovered it is not possible to print signatures on AP checks as we could in the desktop version. We have found a few other features, that are important to our daily bookkeeping, that are missing in the online version. We are considering switching back to a desktop version, but before making another rash decision, has anyone found alternative methods to print signatures on checks? Should we go back to using a rubber stamp?
Hello! New to QuickBooks and not sure even how to ask the question but here goes: I have a business that manages an asset that is rented out. I receive a monthly statement that reports revenue, labor expenses, materials and supplies, etc. I am trying to determine the best way to take these statements and enter the information into QuickBooks so at year end I have an accurate accounting of each expense category as well as revenue. The goal would be to have a year end report of income vs total expenses and a report of expenses by category. Any recommendations are much appreciated!
I am trying to restore a backup file in Quickbooks. I have Quickbooks Desktop version 2018 and I am trying to restore a backup file created with Version 2015. I am getting a Restore Failed message. Several months ago I was successful restoring a backup file from the same source, but not today. Does anyone have any suggestions?
How do I reimburse the employee when the HSA deduction wasn't stopped. It hasn't been deposited into their HSA. I want to clear my payroll liabilities account and give the money back to employee. I've already fixed it in their payroll deductions. I just missed this one paycheck
This is BEYOND frustrating. I have never hated a company more than this. I purchased QBD last week and I STILL can't use it. I have QB online and I HATE IT. I cannot get it migrated to desktop. They provide NO HELP. I'm assuming because they want to keep everyone with online. It migrated with NO INFORMATION. I downloaded the migration tool, I did everything the 'instructions' said. It doesn't work. It imports the file as read only and there is NO INFO there. Nothing. Please don't send me the link to the 'instructions'. I have it. It's not helpful. I've called. Repeatedly. No help. They had no issue taking my money for the desktop version though. Also, if anyone knows how to delete a question in the community, that would be great too.

I have QB Desktop Pro 2020. I posted 5 invoices and one credit memo under enter my bills in ap. When I go into pay my bills the 5 invoices are there but not my cm. I have no way to deduct my credit. Mawmaw 1953
We had a balance in our AP GBP account from an old transaction from a few years ago. We created the JE in 2021 to remove the balance from the AP GBP account to clear it out, but now its showing in our AP Aging Detail and not our Balance Sheet thus causing a variance between the two reports. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I was specifically told by an intuit employee to continue using our desktop version while we completed the set up of payroll services, payments, and time tracking in the online version. We paid for the advanced plan that provided support through the process, even as much as intuit payroll using our old stand alone accounts and transferring employee data for us. We have completed the process and are ready to use the online version, only now I am being told by the migration team that we cannot transfer / migrate the last 12 days of business activity from the desktop version to online without having to redo the entire process. Or we have the option of manually entering in the last 2 weeks of transaction to online which is not a viable option. Nor is it an option to not be able to use online again until another 12 days has passed. What I would like to know is if there is anyone on the intuit team that is creative enough to leave the scripted responses and help me find a solution?

Running QB24 Enterprise. Trying to attach documents and when I'm in the Doc Center and click on "Files Missing" to relink our folder, it relinks the folder but at least 3 previous attachments become unattached and are in the folder now. I have to reattach them. I have verified and rebuilt our data file. Didn't fix it.It is mostly on customer payments and credit memos, but some vendor bills too. Time frame is random also. What else can I try?
In some cases when we conduct business in Europe, we have to indicate our company's EIN number and the customer's VAT ID. As I see, there is no way to do this out of the box.Furthermore, we did not found any way to add a VAT ID, company registration number, or other identification option for a customer.Maybe our only option is to do this with custom filed feature. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
I previously reached out to QBO about this and received an email response assuring me they were aware and working on it. Today I was told there isn't an open case anymore yet the problem persists
