The payment method list does not include Debit Card. How can I add this
I’m using QB Self-Employed to track mileage on iOS. I’ve been using it for well over a year, and in the last couple months it has started using TONS of data. This period is >8GB alone. It was not doing this a few months back, and my driving habits haven’t changed at all. Does anyone know the cause of this or how to fix it? I don’t want to set my location to “while using” and remember open the app every time I have a work trip and not a personal one, but I’m not sure what else to do.
I am running QB Desktop pro 2018 on a Windows 10 laptop. One certain payment for a credit card does not show up in the reconcile credit card window. It shows up as cleared on the bank register; it shows up as a payment on the credit card register; but it won't show up in the reconcile screen. The reconciled balance is the difference for that payment, so it's driving me nuts! I have checked the bank and credit card registers to show the correct accounts are debited/credited, but still... Could someone shed some light on this? Thanks.

If i have a client that doesn't have QuickBooks online, if they get QuickBooks online payroll only, and want to e-file 1099's but they don't do direct deposits is there a way to create the "check" with the total amount the vendor got all year so QuickBooks online can e-file the 1099? I get confused with the contractors subscriptions and if its part of the payroll or not, I know there is another subscription for just contractors. So basically i need to know if a client only have the contractors subscription or payroll, can they e-file 1099's if they don't have the checks there and maybe create a one check in December with the total so the 1099 can be created. The IRS has a paper limit of 10 1099's so we want to figure out what our clients should do. Thank you!

We receive commissions on behalf of our clients. We are owed part of this commission. If I create an invoice for $100 and receive $200, $100 will go to a client. How do I record this in QBO? It was so easy in Desktop. I received the deposit against our invoice and it asked me what I wanted to do the overage and I chose "write a check". I have read the online instructions and they are ridiculous. I know there is a simpler way. What is it?
I have direct deposit but ran a bonus & changed to a paper check. I ran the payroll but forgot to print the check. How do I go back and print the check?
For the last 2-3 weeks I have been getting a lot of phishing emails with the subject line of "Quick Books Bill Copy" which tell me that I am getting charged for a subscription for Quickbooks Desktop Pro and to contact them if this is in error. Of course, the email address is fake (Russian), as is the phone number. I won't post the number because I don't want search engines to somehow make it appear legitimate. The grammar is poor as expected - for instance it calls the product Quick Books. Hello, (This is for QBO on a PC)So if I have a client who has an outstanding balance for 2 monthly invoices - lets say October and November - and I create the December invoice I want the customer to see the December amount to AS WELL AS The october and November invoices that are past due adding up to their new total amount due. When an Estimated is sent to the client, and then Accepted by the client, the response they receive is " We've let company name know you accepted their estimate. They'll reach out with next steps." Is there any way to edit that to say something different?
In November our online QuickBooks account was hacked!!!!! Whom ever got into the account managed to write over $100,000.00 in checks out directly from our account. We spent hours on the phone and on emails writing QuickBooks to advise them of the issue. Only to get the run around and continuously be told our situation would be escalated and we would hear back from someone shortly. It is now 12/13/2023 and still not one response from this company. We have changed passwords switched bank accounts, done the whole nine yards. Very unhappy. But with over 10 years of info in their system its hard to go somewhere else. Now this month all of our stuff has been changed with what they say is an update. and I have to dig deep into the system to find new estimates and clients entered in over the last 2 days and cannot enter internal memos. Using Quick-books onlineMy company gets payroll automatically deducted from our bank account each week. Instead of having multiple transactions, they take the whole sum out at once. I have been allocating this by doing a split transaction where i detail on each line what employee got paid what amount until its all accounted for. for example:- Category: Payroll expense; Description: Jane Doe ; amount $520.00 But on all my reports these ACH/eft charges fall under unspecified vendor because there is no one vendor I am able to allocate to. Is there actually a way I can selected multiple vendors when allocating this? Or is how i've been doing it the way it just is.
When opening the 'Reclassify Transactions' in QB Accountant Desktop\Accountant's Tools, the date range is typically defaulted to the prior year. However for a few QB files is stuck in the year 2020 or 2021.Is there a way to reset the default date?Is there a way to set the default date to the cirrent year?
Where can you get away with constantly raising your rates but degradation of service?All of the sudden I have to key in the FULL payment method. Drop down and type ahead no longer works.The dates of my download from the bank don't match the dates in my actual bank account. QB shows Saturday & Sunday dates in the download. We all know banks don't do business on the weekends.Downloads also show a bunch of X's so I have to go online to my bank account and match the transaction to the downloaded transaction.Why under the new reports are you forcing me to arrow around a calendar to select a date? I can key in a date WAY faster. So far this is just in reports so fingers crossed they don't mess up the rest of the system.I've put in support cases and they do nothing. There's a lot of other changes that have ticked me off but....
When I look in my customer account, the deposits don't show up as just the amount that was deposited. Instead, every line of the deposit is displayed. So if I'm looking for a specific deposit where I know the amount that was deposited, it's not readily spotted. It's fine to see the detail when I drill into it, but not at first glance. I only want to see the amount deposited. Is there a fix for this?
In previous versions of quickbooks I could go to a previous created and sent invoice and turn it into a reoccurring invoice without much work. A small box would pop up and I would indicated the frequency, next bill date, etc. Now it seems that when I try to make a previously created invoice reoccurring, I am having to reenter all of the sales and product data; essentially I am having to rewrite the entire invoice on a template. Some of our invoice are very detailed and this is very time consuming. Is there a work around?
Is anyone else dealing with this glitch? We regularly enter our sales reps' email addresses into the Cc field before sending purchase orders. When a purchase order has been created by copying another purchase order, the email address looks like it has been copied along with all the other info, but when we sent the PO, nobody is cc'd. This happens even if we clear the email address from the Cc field, save the PO, re-enter the email address manually and save the PO again.It used to work fine but lately it's become an issue. Super annoying.
I do bookkeeping for 3 small companies. I have 1 company that has enough 1099's that now require filing online. The other 2 do not. Is there a way to still create 1099's thru QB and create on blank paper to send to individuals? Do they get emailed or is there a way to print and mail? I've only purchased forms in the past and printed and mailed to both the IRS and individuals.
I would like to edit all of my products and services to a different start date. how do I go about it?
