Im working on Chapter 13 of the Academic Year 2023-2024 Textbook and my Accounts Payable (for Raincross Auto Detailing) are not matching up to what the textbook says it should be. I have two bills in the register for Accounts Payable that if did not show up would make A/P match what it should be for the first week. They were bills received from companies for products, what went wrong? (and I apologize if this question was not posted in the correct place).
Hi I purchased an existing business that included territory, list of established accounts, the goodwill, and a specialty/custom vehicle. I paid x for the whole thing. For my accounts in QB, I need to allot a value for vehicle so I can begin depreciation etc. How would I figure out the value of the truck? I mean I have a guess, but the IRS may want it based on something more concrete. A "blue book" is not the best source as the vehicle is modified into a food truck.
I recently converted from Desktop to Online and I have some billable expenses that obviously aren't accurate since I've never used that feature. Most of them are on various Unemployment taxes on employee paychecks. I can't get rid of them and the online help is not accurate. Any ideas?

Invoicing on My desktop version let me have a tear off section (at the top) to send in with payment. I can’t see how to create an invoice template to have that in on-line version. Any way to create that template in on-line version?
How do you search by amount using the new advanced search feature? How do you search by name for journal entries? Putting in a dollar figure in the amount search box shows nothing for journal entries.. Selecting a name in contact for journal entries shows nothing. Searching journal entries does not show anything in the amount column. How do we get the amount column to show for journal entries?
HiI have a customer that uses the Enterprise Suite desktop version and their database is approaching 1.4Gb after 12 months of trading. I have seen options to compress the Db, but I do not think it will be enough to allow QB to be used with issues.I am looking for advice please, on how best to reduce the size of the working Database? Can it be reduced after a Year End closedown?Is there a platform or a version that will allow a larger database to operate without issue? Is QB online a solution?Are there other accounting package that are more suitable?What are my options please? Thank you for taking time to read this. Hello everyone!I need to ask you for help with two questions I have: 1- I have a contractor who made a personal expense (meals) with my company's credit card and wants to return what he spent in cash. If I want to register this return with a bank deposit, under what account is this deposit of money registered? Meals? 2- I had a contractor that I gave money to and he no longer works with me and I realized that he kept $100 that I gave him. Under what account is this loss recorded? Uncategorized Expense or Bad Debt? Thank you so much !
Used Quickbooks desktop along with the payroll for 20 years. Intuit is forcing us to go online at a massive increase. We decided to cancel and will do our own payroll and just pay direct to EFTPS. Will go back to Excel spreadsheets.Will continue to use the desktop version on our computer till I find something else or just hire my CPA firm to do the books. At least my CPA is a real life human being that is located in the US.Sorry to have to leave, but Intuit is just putting their inflation software increases way above CPI. Small business in the US can't keep up. Good luck when you have no small business to work with.

I had a pop-up box that says: Problem Quickbooks found some problems with your data file. You can fix most issues by rebuilding your company file. Solution Rebuild your data now. Close all windows and choose utilities and then rebuilddata from the File Menu. If you see this message again, call Intuit Techincal Support at [removed] After doing the rebuild twice, the message kept coming back with no way to close. I called the number and it seemed very suspicious in that they told me that I had to buy a support contract. Has anyone else had this issue?
Hubby thought he needed just one more tool.... don't get me started!So, he assumes the $100.00 bucks he sends via Venmo to N.K... (name hidden), would produce the Milwaukee vac. It didn't! A day later, hubby is looking for tracking info and alas, Mr. N.K. has disappeared into thin air!Venmo says, we paid him, but you didn't have the money in your Venmo account, so now you owe us (Venmo) $100.00! (so this $100.00 Milwaukee Vac that we will never see, is actually costing us $200.00)! Venmo does not offer any kind of protection, like PayPal does, so we are out $200.00 now.HOW DO I RECORD THIS TRANSACTION IN QBDT? Any insight would be much appreciated. And watch out for those scammers out there!

I have two hours to get my work done today. I log in and am met with a pop-up that says we have been selected to try the new QBO Pro. I am used to these kinds of pop-ups and am looking for the "Dismiss" button. But, my two options are "Upgrade Now" or "Start 3-Month Trial Upgrade." I am just furious. I get on a chat window and a phone call to see how to dismiss this pop-up so I can get my work done. The chat window has me clearing caches and opening logins in different browsers. Nothing works--everything goes back to the ad. On the phone, the rep explains to me there is absolutely NO WAY to bypass the screen, but she will assist me in upgrading and then immediately downgrading to my current plan. I express concern that I will have data problems and that I will be charged for something on the card they have on file. She assures me neither of those things will happen. She also said we were selected because our list of accounts is at 180 and the max for our current plan is 250. It is
Hello - After many years of using QB, I need to start utilizing the SKU field. So I created a "customized" template, made it the "default" and cannot get it to apply going forward. I have tried everything, read everything and call tech support and nothing. Please help as this is an important feature I need to start using but cannot. We have quickbooks enterprise I have updated all inventory for year end. some of our customer are drop ship customers. So we never received the items in, we drop ship them. I feel like they are coming out of our inventory and shouldnt be.What am I doing wrong?
