Hi everyone, apologies if this is a stupid question, but I am new to digital and quite an accounting novice. I've searched the boards and found many questions regarding eBay fees, but none of the answers quite fit. I sell on eBay a lot, and the banking deposits they make have already had fees deducted. I understand I can raise a receipt for those fees, but then this causes my balance to be lower, as the deposited amount has obviously already had them deducted. How do I balance this? - Please note that due to the package I use, I can't use any of the linking software such as the eBay app, Snyder etc to import my transactions,so unfortunately I am stuck to a manual system. I've been using a spreadsheet to now which is SO much simpler, as I can add the total sales (instead of deposit) and fees in their applicable income/expenses columns, which then results in the correct deposited amount change in my balance without any fuss.I am a sole trader using the cash basis, and unde

On the new app, there is no search button on the activity page to quickly find a customer in the list
Ideally you want to click 'Add' under the action column and there be a straight drag and drop option.
Hello all, I'm having issues submitting my clients CT600. my submission keeps coming back as 'unsuccessful' Has anyone else experienced this problem? I'm following the steps that are listed on QB web and it's still not working. my credentials are all on the system. the CT600 looks correct, I have no errors. I have converted CT600 pdf in to xhtml. I'm unsure of what else to do. Spoken to QB help, they weren't able to help Spoken to HMRC, they were not able to give explanation of an error code, but logged the call and I'm still waiting to hear back from them Thank you Reda V.
Hi, I am trying to connect my bank account, although quickbooks is sending a verification code to an old number.My new number is connected to quickbooks, and my bank. I am not sure how to move forward. How can the verification code get sent to the new number? My bank account is attached to the transaction page, although it wont work for the payments page. I have a trial version of payroll essentials which is due to expire in about a week. I d rather continue the subscription if I can manage to make it work somehow for me. The issue I'm having is if a run payroll with standard settings then the amount is deducted from the balance from the quickbooks current account, this would be fine for the rest of my employees as when the are paid it would be picked up from the bank feed and matched. But as the director of the company I want my wages to go into the directors loan account to offset the balance. I am aware that I can change the default account to lets say the directors loan account in journal mapping, this would be fine if I was the only employee, but when i run payroll using this method it would post the wages of all my employees to the directors loan account. Can someone help in resolving this issue or a work around. Thanks
Intuit, by all means use GMT for us UK users, but using the 'only us Americans can process' date. The rest of the world uses day, month, year. Not sure we have a 12th of the 15th month lol
How can I add - Less CITB 1.25% - to the bottom of an invoice
HiI have previously used QB but now returning to it after a using another programme for a few years, when I come to export to Excel they all go to the same default location with a very similar file name. Is there a way to specify where to save to and/or a file name to better identify the file?

I have successfully used multi currency for several years with no trouble. Today when I want to post a transfer from a usd account to a gbp account there are no rates showing for the currency exchange and I cant proceed. I also can no longer process purchases invoices in usd. Can someone offer help please?
I’ve been very vocal on here about the classic versus the new modern look in reports. I was very disappointed that Intuit didn’t seem to be listening and pushing the changes out regardless.However, credit where credit is due it appears the new layouts have been worked substantially which are a vast improvement on the previous versions. Removing the lines, adding cantering to the layout (especially important for very wide monitors) and there is now the much missed ‘All Dates’ in the filtering. Keep it up Intuit. Please can you make louder noises about the updates to show you are actually listening. We need a product change log page!!!!

My colleague is having issues with the updated Expenses screen - the new columns cannot be de-selected and are cluttering up the screen. Is there any way that these columns can be removed from the main page?The columns are: Category, Costs, Last delivered, Attachments. When she adds the Delivery Date column, the sort feature does not work - for example, we have the following dates:20/12/2303/01/2415/12/23No matter which way you click the column header to sort, it does not sort by date. This is making it difficult to see easily which deliveries are due / overdue - we need to be able to sort by delivery date. I have the same problem. She has also advised that if she uses Categories on a PO instead of Items, you cannot receive part of the order. This may be something she needs to be aware of, to just not use Categories, but this cannot be turned off in our settings (as far as I can tell) - if we can turn it off that would be better.
We have been using the Quickbooks Online software for numerous years now but have never really fully utilized the product or explored its features as we mainly use it for invoicing, expenses and keeping track of payments. We have recently decided that it would be beneficial to implement an inventory system through QB Onliine, is it possible to start this halfway through our financial year without it effecting our sales / expenses figure if we input pre excisting stock? Good morning community In the new year, we will use an independent payroll supplier as it comes with our new accounts package.Prior to this, we used QB standard payroll, which generated a journal showing split payments to Paye/NI expenses and liabilities accounts. Are we now required to manually post a journal as we no longer use QB payroll, or is there another way to account for it?
