I've seen on a few community threads that there is no way to change the role of a time-tracking only user, even as a primary admin. Why is this the case? This is a pain as our entire team was set to time-tracking only but now needs to switch so that they can submit expenses. It will be time consuming to delete and re-add them, not to mention that their time tracking data will either be lost or show up in two different places. Additionally, I saw that we may have to add them with a different email address than what we used prior? This will not work for us - our employees only have 1 email address. We called several times and the QB experts don't even seem to be aware that this is a deliberate permissions setting put in place by QB. We went through multiple "troubleshooting" steps just to find out that this isn't even a bug. I've already submitted feedback to QuickBooks about it. I'm desperately hoping that this is something that will be changed at some point?

I would like to see QB offer folks chosen name as the name that pushes to quickbooks time so they are not harmed by their "dead name" (legal name) every darn day that they clock in and out. Please update your quickbooks software so folks can have their CHOSEN name be what appears at clocking in and out on QBT vs their LEGAL name which can be on payroll checks! If we can land on the moon surely folks can write the code for this!
The day of the week is correct on the timesheet entry window but the date is off by 1 day. Is anyone else having this issue or do you know a fix?

HI My client provide m Quickbooks backup from Quickbooks for Mac from 2019 and create a backup for me as i have Quickbooks 2019 Pro . But when i try to restore it ask me to update my Quickbooks even we both have same . If i click on update then show that we have an error attached screenshot and if i click on cancel then quickbooks asked me to update Quickbooks . Kindly hlep me regarding this issue? Recently, we rolled out Workforce to our employees however, we did so on July 1st just as QBO was integrating the Time and Workforce as one app. Many of our employees only received an invitation from QBO for one side of the app. Now, I have two employees who have not been able to use the Time entry for payroll. I had them change their email address which I updated in the Employee section of QBO however, the new email did not change in the Time feature that I can view online. How can I edit their email address in Time?This is the most frustrating and non user friendly program I have ever used.Anyone? Help?
How do I set black out days for time off in WorkForce?
If I inactivate an employee will I still be able to view the times sheets and the maps from the work they performed.
Recently I am unable to trach / see location of my employees who are using the app on an IPhone. If they are on an Android based phone they are still showing up. I have verified that the location service is running, they are not on power save mode, and I know they are in a good service area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance.
I have an employee set up in payroll and quickbooks time. They have an entry for billable hours assigned to a customer, but that billable time is not being listed when I go to create an invoice. I am guessing this is because the time entries are not "approved" yet. But I cannot approve them without closing out the payroll period. Is there a way to invoice a customer on the spot with billable time that is tracked through payroll? If we manually enter the hours billed on the invoice, then the customer pays, will I later be able to assign that billable time to the paid invoice after the payroll period is approved? Is this how it is intended to function? I would like to have the billable time populate immediately rather than wait until payroll is processed. Thanks for any help.
I work for a construction company. I enter my budget neatly, but I can't see the timeframe in which I should input the budgeted hours. I can determine the actual hours based on payroll, but I also want to see the budgeted hours. Is this possible in QuickBooks Desktop?

Hi there, I've been trying to integrate Quickbooks Time with Quickbooks Desktop and I've receiving an error that Quickbooks Time certificate has been revoke and Desktop is aborting the integration. How can I fix an revoke certification? I've try to troubleshoot it, but no luck. Any help is appreciated!
We are a company in Spain that is subscribed to Time in the USA because this product is not available in Europe. I wish to add a subscription for an associate company but am unable to do so because the address options only allow US states.Our current subscription has a Spanish address. I spent an hour with "customer service" trying to get this resolved but gave up after I was transferred to another department for the 5 th time. Please help!
Can I use time tracking in QuickBooks online to track volunteer hours with out having a payroll subscription. I just need keep track of their hours for insurance purposes

Employees who have installed the QB Workforce app are having difficulty seeing all of the Projects and Jobs that are assigned to them. Some Jobs are missing entirely, and other Jobs are only visible at the top level, but SubJobs are missing. This seems to be intermittent, and occurs even after re-syncing and reinstalling the QB Workforce app. I have employees from different companies experiencing the same errors.
The new Terms of Service are unacceptable for our company such as QB sharing the location of our employees, contacting our employees directly and sharing our financial information with others. Does anyone know a similar program that we can switch to? We have been using QB for 24 years and we are ready to switch to a different accounting program as well.
SO frustrated with this app. Have not been able to get pinpoints on gps for a LONG time (only start and stop locations). And now, I cannot see ANY gps information on one employee. She has to manually click "retry" a few times on the map for it to pop up (what employee is going to do that when you have to have it set at "gps required"? And ALL settings on her phone are correct. NO barriers for access. And her device logs have already been submitted and that did nothing. She recently updated her iphone. She recently updated the "Workforce" app. And it STILL is not working properly. This is NOT what we paid for. When we first subscribed, the gps feature was fantastic. But hasn't worked in a quite a while.
My employees have updated to the new Workforce App but they are not seeing anywhere to view their paystubs on the app. We have used the app since it was Tsheets, then Time and now Workforce. I use QB Pro 2021 Desktop. Do I need to click a button somewhere?
In QBO, time entries can be added to an invoice using the Add to Invoice pane on the right side of the screen. Time entries that have already been added to an invoice should obviously not show up here. To accomplish this, the TimeActivity object has a field named BillableStatus. Here's the QBO API documentation explaining how this object works... API Explorer (intuit.com) The description of the BillableStatus field states:Billable status of the time recorded. Valid values: Billable, NotBillable, HasBeenBilled. You cannot directly update the status to HasBeenBilled. To set the status to HasBeenBilled, create an Invoice object and attach this TimeActivity object as a linked transaction to that Invoice. Any time entry that has been added to an invoice therefore should have a BillableStatus of HasBeenBilled. Therein lies the problem.
