How does QB deal with Personal Spending transactions when calculating the year-end tax report? Are they included in the Profit figure?
I know I can custom the report but it is making everything look wrong in the software.
Ive set up a user to be able to add additional time worked through the employee portal. The only option is to enter the number of "units". The worktype set up is for units to be hours. The timesheet report in payroll only shows the number of units entered - but does not show the time although there is space for time in the report.
How do I link a rent invoice (sublease rental income) so that the rent receivable shows up as a rent receivable and not Accts Receivable. Thanks

I understand that ‘Retained Earnings’ is a cumulative total from day 1 in QB. In our balance sheet we also have a figure for ‘Surplus/Deficit. What is the difference between ‘Retained Earnings’ and ‘Surplus/Deficit’ ? Thankyou’

Some work, some don't and I have some questions that you may be able to help me out with. 1. At which time in the day are emails sent from QuickBooks online?2. How far back are we able to run previous years payroll reports for ex employees? Is it possible to access over 5 years payroll information for previous employee?
I am an art dealer and I normally do my sales by invoicing my customers with Vat added to the invoice and then record the payment as Sales Income. However, I have recently consigned some of my stock to an auction house who have sold it for me in their salerooms. I cannot raise an invoice for this as it is a consignment.Please advice as to how to record this income which was the proceeds of the sale less the auction house fees. Many thanks!
Can anyone please help me understand why my expenses are being added to my income when I view the information in taxes? It has a subtract sign next to expenses but it actually adds the 2 figures together rather than subtracts?
Each time I create a manual journal, QB assigns a sequence number; currently, this is at 38.When I create an invoice, QB creates a journal automatically using the invoice number as the journal number. The lowest invoice number in QB is 197 (following the sequence from before QB).What happens when the manual journal number reaches 197; will there be a clash?... or does QB accept duplicate journal numbers because the Journal Type is different?
The report I'm scheduling is being imported into a PowerBI report which needs the more modern file format to work automatically.Is there any way of changing the export format on the report scheduler? I am aware that individual reports can be exported as .xlsx but that is no help here. Also aware of using Power Automate Desktop to carry out a file type switch - also no help here. And I don't want to have to create an API just for this purpose or use an external parsing service.I just want QBO to export a modern excel file. Surely, not too much to ask from an accounting package......?
I have a very strange situation that I am trying to clear up.I ran an open invoice report and I ended up with five pages. I was able to clear out invoices that had not been paid from several years ago, but I am at a loss as to how to clear the credits off of my report. The credits are extremely old, on a bank account that has been reconciled and closed years ago and the credits will never be applied. When I go into the invoice, it is showing as paid, the check is cleared (that is the credit) and I tried to make a journal entry ( as discussed with my accountant) to clear the credit, but when I did, it seems to double the credit, and it still shows up on the open invoices . I just wanted to get these old credits that are going nowhere cleared off of my open invoices showing as customer credits.
I made a custom management report template, but have 2 issues: Blank pagesI have no need for the Preliminary pages nor Endnotes. On each of these two sections there is an option available as follows: "include this page". I purposefully do not tick off this option, because I do not want to include these pages. Quickbooks however keeps automatically adding these two blank pages to my report, whether I tick it off or not. How do I get rid of these pages?Page OrientationQuickbooks is automatically changing the page orientation of some of my added reports. Some is in portrait and some in landscape. One report is an eyesore as the per line detail is too much for portrait viewing. Can I change it to landscape somehow? Alternatively, can I edit the column widths or text size ?Many thanks.
