How do I 'expand' the item 'Provision for liabilities and charges' in the balance sheet. Only the total shows - there is no '>' to expand.
Does anyone know how to update the reserves on the balance sheet for charity accounts? We would like to somehow summarise the lines for 'Retained Earnings' (RE) and 'Unrestricted funds'. But are unable to have the RE as a sub account. Can anyone help?
QuickBooks online, how to find gross employee wages for previous years?I used to be able to do this with the desk top version, but cannot find it with the OL version of QB.Can anyone help please.
Hi. A new client has asked me to discover why the Sales widget on the dashboard is over twice as much as the actual sales for 2023-24 on the P&L. The P&L is right. How can I track what the Sales widget is picking up? The client moved to QB part way through their financial year so there are many journal entries. Thanks!
HiWe were forced to move to online accounts from our faster, more versatile PC system. The old accounts were saved online, and we have been previously able to access the information, if rather slowly.Previously, reports exported via the Save to Excel option were in .CSV format. Now, although the system says that it is doing this, the report shows in the Temporary File folder as a .TLG file - which won't open.I tried the online chat option, but the company representative had no idea what to do, or if anyone in the company knew either. It would be rather helpful if we could access the archived five years worth of accounts as we have a VAT inspection pending, and HMRC are unlikely to be impressed by an excuse on a par with 'my dog ate my homework'.HELP!
Our courses are often in the future so invoice date is booked date and service date is date of course. This works great for income recognition for accounting purposes. But we also want to track sales as in actual income to check against targets and see what has come in that month. What reports will show this, do the sales /budget reports use the invoice of service date?
Once again, the mileage tracking has stopped for last 2 weeks. Tried the "talk on human" both from the app and website but all the links are dead. So can't ask for a call or drop a message. the number of times this has happened over the last 12 months is really making me consider going elsewhere. All the app permissions are set together with the battery usage.
The Account Type is Equity and the Detail Type is Retained Earnings. I've tried various Account Names eg P&L Dividends and Retained Profits. Can you help please?
I have set up custom reports and clicked share with all but the other users cannot see the reports- any ideas how I fix this problem?
I've noticed that this only pulls through what is in the Memo box, which is usually empty, and completely ignores what is typed in the Description box. This is not very helpful for VAT detail reports (or any reports for that matter) as it gives no information on the transactions.
how do I edit this in Quick books?
There used to be a report called Sales by Item Report. This showed me the cost of goods I sell so I could see profit make per item sold. I cannot find this report or anything similar anymore. I have entered the costs for all of my product & upgraded to the highest level of Quickbooks. The Sales by Product/Service has COS/Gross Margin columns but no data in it when I run it. Possibly because I am selling products rather than services. Can anyone help me please. Thank you very much Holly
ie. I am trying to use Quickbooks as a payment record so I can double check at the end of a job that all products and services have been invoiced
I am trying to "Create Management Report" in the management reporting section of QB Online and I want to have a Profit and Loss Comparison report in the custom report (and also a Balance Sheet Comparison report). It looks like it SHOULD be straightforward to do as after you press "Create Management Report", click on "Reports and Charts" a drop down menu appears allowing you to "select report". The Profit and Loss Comparison Report is a standard report that you can select from that menu.HOWEVER, when I select it (and the Balance Sheet Comparison) the report that prints out within the Custom Management report does not have the comparison data on it. For example if I want the report to cover the current financial year to date the report only shows the current year's figures and doesn't show the comparison figures. If I run the profit and loss comparison report as a standalone report it correctly shows the comparison period, it is only when I try and include it in a custom report that the
I wonder if someone can help me as I am in a pickle with Quickbooks Online! I have been trying to reconcile my books on Quickbook and have run into some trouble getting numbers to match. I have been through my statements and matched these up, and the transactions I am struggling with are transactions where I have bought an item on behalf of a customer, and they have paid me back at the same cost (i.e. no profit to myself)How should I go about categorising these in Quickbooks? Obviously I do not want these deposits to count towards my taxable income, or for the payments to go towards my expenses.
