I accidentally marked an invoice as "paid." I need to reset it to "unpaid."
I'm an accountant at my company, initially I had the Admin user role. To get to the Reclassify functionality I signed up myself as the company accountant. Everything worked well until I created some reported and Shared them with All, but they aren't seen by our company primary admin user? How do I go about making sure users of my "client company" can see and edit the custom reports that I have created as the Accountant under the reports section of my "Client's company"? Appreciate the help

Hello! I am looking for a Profit and Loss template for a mechanical contracting company. I would like to have the payroll portion more streamlined. We use an outside provider for payroll. Where online can I go to look at sample P&L reports? Please do not mention to ask our accountant. We already have one. Thanks and God bless!
How do i change a contractor to an employee
We are on an accrual basis and sent out invoices to sponsors who pledged to sponsor an event of ours. Some we sent out in Dec 2023, while others we sent in Jan 2024 (month of event), mostly based on when they agreed to sponsor, although there was some overlap for those who pledged at the end of December. However, now these payments are accruing in different fiscal years I believe as the dates on the invoices are in different years, and I'm pretty sure that's not what you want. What is the best way to account for this and do it differently in the future?
Hello,The company will attend an Expo in 2024. The relevant invoice with participation fee belongs to 2023 and the invoice payment was made in 2023. However, as I mentioned before, the Expo will take place in 2024. For this reason, can we show the payment made in 2023 to the Expo as an expense in 2024's P&L? If yes, how?
I can see that you can manually share custom reports with other users. We put all of those together in a management report that we would everyone to be able to generate upon need, without having to ask the person who created it. Is this doable? I repeat I'm not talking about sharing the report output, I mean sharing the possibility to generate the custom management report as it's been set thanks PS in the last few weeks I havn't been able to use this forum via chrome.I did clear the cookies and all that jazz, but still when I select the discussion topic, I get redirected and I get a log-in error
Through my LLC, we do business through a couple different brands, but they are both part of the same LLC. I am trying to figure out how to set up invoices when you have 2 or more DBAs. For example, invoice templates where the company is listed slightly differently:-My LLC (d.b.a. brand 1)-My LLC (d.b.a. brand 2)
I sent 4 invoices 0089-0083 I did not delete invoice 0089. customer paid invoice 0092 which I deleted.
Upgraded to Quickbooks online few months ago. Made some changes to the company file and need to restore the company file to January 19, 2024. How do I restore this file? I have Quickbooks Basic Package.
We have an issue where an account or two have been assigned an incorrect "type" (i.e. id'd as Accounts Receivable when they should have been Other Current Assets). As part of the process of correction, I assume I can't easily change the "type", so I would create a new account with the ID as Other Current Asset. Is it possible to merge an account of one "type" into an account of a different "type"? Is there a specific process to follow when correcting a situation where an account was assigned an incorrect "type"? We are on Pro+ 2023 now but likely will be moving to Enterprise Gold in the very near future. Would thank change the answer to the question? Thanks in advance.
standard forms we have used for 25 years. now no template matches.
variance between bank balance and quicken
Hi, Scenario:I am a musician and I use 3rd party services to collect royalties on my behalf. I then request these royalties to be distributed to me at specific times. They go into my bank account as a regular deposit. At the end of the year I get a 1099 from these 3rd party services. I need to generate a P&L and ensure that these royalties are tracked as income in QBO. I started to create each service as a customer and then tag them as royalties. I stopped because I wasn't sure this was the correct direction. My questions:What is the best way to track bank deposits as royalty income to generate an accurate P&L. How do I create a rule around these so that I don't have to do them manually? Why is QBO only seeing bank transactions from 10/23 to now (2/24) and not all of them? If my bank and QBO are connected, wouldn't QBO have all records regardless of how much data the bank is sending? It seems like a major oversite that QBO only shows whatever data the bank is
How do I permanently set a report preference (which columns I see) in QBOnline. I don't get useful information with the default columns and I'm tired of resetting them every time I pull a new report.
I have an Estimate with 45 line items and I want to do progress invoices. I just created my first invoice and only want to invoice 3 of the 45 line items. when I create the invoice it shows all items and the ones I am not invoicing are showing with 0. Is there a way to have all the 0 items to be hidden or just not show up on my invoice? it looks odd showing 42 lines of 0 items being invoiced. Also is there any way to track what has been invoiced and what is remaining? the "Estimates & Progress Invoicing Summary by Customer" report is useless. The best I have seen is the actual estimate, but when you try to print it you don't get the same detail. Thanks, Scott
reoccurring payments
If I invoice a ticket on the last day of the month but don't get paid until the next day, Quickbooks adds the due sales tax to the following month's report. I need it to report my total sales tax due based on the dates my invoices close, not receive payment.
