Hi everyone, I have quite a few basic questions that unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out. For background purposes: I sell products on a website, Quickbooks is automatically linked to my bank account and to my website. This means that every deposit I have in my bank account is reflected in Quickbooks, and for every sale I have in my website Quickbooks is receiving: a) sales receipt; b) details on the products sold (inventory is tracked through my website). Questions: 1. When matching an online Bank Deposit with a Sales Receipt (under the section "Select the payments included in this deposit") the amount is double counted. So if I have a sales receipt for £53 and a deposit for £51.16 it says that the total payment is £104.16.2. Reflection of the fees: for the example above, Paypal had a fee of £1.84. I have read to include this in the section "Add funds to this receipt" as a negative amount, but... £51.16 - £1.84 -> what is this supposed to reflect? This doesn't seem
I am trying to upload a bulk of receipts which have the customer numbers referenced and the original invoice. However, when I import this it won't post to debtors so I can't match off the invoices and the receipts. We have to monitor the receipts in a separate system as this is a regulated industry.
To add new customer..I press add new..but it keeps refusing to accept
Every time I get a credit note from a supplier WHY is it not possible to simply offset it against an invoice from that same supplier? I've followed instructions in QB of how to do this, but it ends up paying off the whole invoice and then the balance of the transaction is left in unreconciled in the bank. Eg Invoice for £100, credit note for £20. I make a payment of £80. If I follow QB instructions, the £100 and £20 get "paid" but the £80 is still sitting in the bank waiting to be reconciled.
evening everyone.im hoping somone can help.ive just activated my VAT on QBO. I have transactions still to review in the banking area but these are from before my vat regustartion. each time i click a transaction to 'add', im asked to change its vat status. i presume everything before my vat regstaion is exempt and should be set to zero. is there a quicker way than going into each transation and settign VAT to zero?thanks so much.ian
