I am a self employed CPA that has QB 2021 that I use for keeping my own books, and also go online to retrieve client documents that use QB online version. I also use QB Payments ($3 per payment received). I was recently told that self employed CPAs can get a free desktop version of QB for their own use, so before I upgrade to 2024 version how can I go about getting the free version? I have many custom reports configured and suddenly last night the data will not flow to the pdf or Excel version.
Hi, I'm using QB Enterprise 2024 and recently ran into a problem where Outlook/Webmail doesn't appear to be supported by my server host so I'm forced to send email using Quickbooks Email. When using Webmail, the "from" was my email address, however with Quickbooks Email, the "from" is "Intuit E-Commerce Service". Is there any way to change this since it may get rejected from my customer
This is a C-Corp, the business owner owns 100% shares. He sometimes loans personal funds to the Corp, (and pays himself interest), so I have an account called "Loans from (Owner name)", to keep track of what the Corp owes him. Going the other direction, the Corp will sometimes pay for certain personal bills, and those amounts will come off of that account (decrease what is owed back to owner). For the 2023 tax year, the owner made a SEP IRA contribution for himself in the amount of $35K. The actual funds came from the owner's personal funds but the corp should have paid it. I want to increase the amount the Corp owes to the owner by $35K so that the Corp, in essence, would have made that IRA contribution. The question is, how?
Is anyone else having issues with the new invoicing system? They took away most of the features that I use and added 4 to 5 more steps than I had before. I'm not quite sure how they can say the updated and improved system is improved when they take away really good features and double your work. It's the same with the new report system. I have to scroll over to see the full report whereas before it was all on one page.

This is for QuickBooks Online. I have a list of bullets and want to add sub-bullets below by indenting. When I add the line for the sub-bullet, it adds a blank bullet above. This is not visible when in edit mode, but is visible in preview. I brought this issue to the attention of "QuickBooks Care Team" and after three months of waiting for an answer they responded "we found that we did not receive enough information to complete an in-depth investigation to your concern" even though I provided screenshots to them. I was always able to have sub-bullets until they changed something with the reporting earlier this year. Any help would be appreciated.

HelloI use QB desktop for a rental real estate business. I'm trying to see how much cash I have at the end of the month. When I run my statement of cash flow one (five total) of the properties has the Principal payment listed under "Investing Activities". There are five properties total and this is the only one that has the principal payment listed on the statement of cash flows. I checked the Chart of Accounts and it is a long term liability just like the others. Any ideas what's going on? Also one of the properties has the Escrow payment listed under "Operating Activities" while the other four are under "Investing Activities". This is driving me a little crazy, any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

My client is looking to downgrade to QBO Essentials to save some money. She has a small design company and uses the Billable and Markup feature in he QB Plus. Can she safely downgrade to Essentials. When going through the downgrade process, the list of features she will lose does not include Billable and Markup boxes in Expense, but looking through the community support topics, I worry she might lose those features
I have quickbooks desktop pro 2021, not subscription, I paid for a year of payroll add-on in February, 2024. I can’t have any cloud based or online program as our internet is so poor. And I don’t want a subscription service. I use payroll for my three part-time employees to calculate federal and state taxes and to generate tax forms (although I usually have to transcribe them to submit them to our state). I write their checks by hand. This has worked for me and my very small business for years. I’m concerned that after May 31 I won’t get the appropriate updates for my payroll calculations. I would like to know my options. Also, I’m very frustrated about paying upfront for a year of payroll only to be told three months later that I can’t use that. And there is no offer by quickbooks to refund me the 9 months of payroll service I can’t use. That may warrant a call to my state attorney general
I used to be able to change the size of invoice fields on the invoicing form so that I didn't have a huge chunk of space in the middle I'm not really using in the product description and could expand the product field to be able to read what was there. About a month ago something changed on quickbooks online and once I pick an item in the product field there's not enough space to read what I picked unless I click to expand the field as if I wanted to pick something different. This new "updated" version of the application is SOOO broken it's taking me more than 4 times longer to make each invoice. I don't understand why they changed it and removed functionality it can't be good for anyone. This is just one of multiple issues I now have that's driving me crazy, it's almost unusable! There has got to be a way to fix this I'm hoping but I can't see it...Someone please tell me they can help me?

My Client has been using QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with cloud hosting since 2016 and they have 3 business. If the client was to switch to QuickBooks online they would need multiple Online accounts one foe each business correct? How can we retain access to all the historical files?The client is not utilizing most of the enterprise features but needs cloud hosting, trying to find best solution to save money.Thank you

I want to know how to contact the head of this company or the board. I am so mad because of the stupid subscription which I never use until I have trouble with logging into my Quickbooks because of your system not recognizing my 2 credit cards that is on file with you. I HATE the subscription and if I ever get a chance, I will be either switching to a new program or just entering my ending balances into an earlier version of Quickbooks and using that version!! I can understand larger companies might need your services but the small companies - like ours and another one in which I take care of their books, don't need it or at least I don't. In addition to the subscription, we also pay for the payroll subscription which then adds even more to our expenses. I will be so glad when we retire from this business and I can cancel everything. So ANYONE who is reading this, get your hands on an earlier subscription like 2020 or earlier, do that. They are selli
