Hi, We are doing our invoicing in our Warehouse Management System and creating the "invoices" there. While these are considered invoices, they are only billing summaries of transactions. I want to import multiple invoices, but I want Quickbooks to use the next invoice # instead of forcing me to input invoice numbers on the import. This is because my WMS isn't always sequential numbers, so I want the invoice numbers to be controlled by Quickbooks. I am running into the issue of not being able to import invoices without invoice numbers initially. Is there any way to go around this?

Hi, we're looking to give a new accountant the Accountant role in QB online. Can they potentially steal any money from our bank account since it's connected? I don't believe so, but I wanted to run this by the community first.
I am a nonprofit and want to update my QB account to tax exempt.
I just migrated from desktop to online and there is a difference on my P&L between my net income on desktop and online if I choose CASH as my report basis. If I choose CASH on desktop, and ACCRUAL on online, then they match perfectly. But if I choose CASH for both, there is a difference.COGS is the driver of the difference when they are both reported as cash. • Desktop recognizes it when a sale is made to the customer.• Online recognizes it when it is purchased from the vendor. This causes a difference of my Net income by $66k (showing as making more money on QBO).I believe there is a bug in desktop. No matter if it's CASH or ACCRUAL, the net income is the exact same. When I do the same in online, the net income changes drastically. This could be an issue for my taxes because we report as CASH basis. I obviously don't want to change to ACCRUAL now because you have to get that approved by the IRS. Can someone explain if this is a bug or expected behavior?
I am the primary admin currently. I have another individual that is a company admin. There is an option for me to change the company admin to primary from my role. However this option continues to say it "did it" but the role does not change. Why if there is an option to do it as the primary, why isnt it working
When I logged into QB, I suddenly got a screen asking me to resubscribe, despite being on Autopay every month. I went through the motions and now it's like a brand new account - all banking is gone, all chart of accounts empty, everything I have worked on for YEARS is GONE. What do I do!?!?! What has happened !!!
I am converting from QBP 2013 to QB Desktop 2020 for Mac. When setting up backup function, I have unchecked the overwrite previous copy option. How do I set the number of backup copies to be saved? I only want 3 previous backups kept, not an infinite number of them.
Entries made and I would like to use a back up prior to and correct the entry another way.
I just got done categorizing last year's transactions, and I'm showing a $37500 difference in the "Business Spending" listed at the top of the Transactions page and the Total Business Expenses in my yearly Expenses report. I didn't have anywhere near that amount in assets bought, so any ideas why the discrepancy?

Hi CommunityI am a seasoned QB user but relatively new to QBO. I am trying to "batch" email all customers from QBO. I click on the box to select all, drop down "Batch Actions" and select email and....crickets! Nothing happens.My default browser is Google Chrome for both Company and Customer Facing. What am I doing wrong??
how do I find profit and loss report which is not where QB states. There is no favorites. There is no profit and loss listed.

Somehow the screen size in my QBO increased. There is no problem with my other applications.
I looked through post and seen somewhat similar but they were always given basically a lawyer style answer, there was no real direct yes or no. It shouldnt matter what subscription level one was on. The question is very direct will data created with specific "features" from a higher paid version be deleted once you downgrade to subs. that does not have those features ? YES OR NO? Please. It is obvious and goes with out saying, one will of course not have access to the premium features they left when down grading. But thats not the question. The question is will previous data created while on that paid account stay that way even after downgrade? Cuz its my data and I paid for it when I created it, so I dont get why it would suddenly go away when I paid for it already. If I wanted to edit it after the fact ok sure....dont allow it but other than that its just down right wrong. No one else in industry does this...ie Freshbooks. Finally please dont even waste typing., if you are not going
