About a year ago, our bank was sold to another institution. The first bank didn't have connection abilities to QBD. The new bank does. After switching from QBD to QBO, I realized that transactions I had manually entered, including payroll, were posting incorrectly to the checking account. At the same time, the items I downloaded were posted correctly to the Huntington account. How do I change the incorrect posting? I tried to edit the entries, but QBO won't let me edit the accounting field.
I issued a reimbursement check to an employee via the bank's online bill pay system. The amount was deducted from the account. However, the check was apparently lost in the mail and the employee did not receive it. After several months, the bank put a stop payment, refunded the account, I reissued a new reimbursement check. If this happened to a vendor, I am able to generate a Vendor Credit for the deposit, but since this is an employee, I cannot select the employee name for the credit as he is not categorized as a vendor. How do I properly record the credit and reissuance of the check?
import older transactions
My bank account is not connected, i spoke to my bank and they said that its not from their end, that's it's from your company. Kindly help me out
How long does this take?
Some of my local sales are through cashapp. Im trying to figure out how to make a shipping label for those sales.
Our transactions do not automatically identify matches, so we end up having to delete duplicate transactions and manually match the CC payment to the Amazon app transaction.
Is there a way I can go back and reconcile two bank statements from 2022? I need to reconcile January and February, 2022 ... March through December have been reconciled. I have Quickbooks 2020 Desktop Pro. Thank you in advance for any suggestions/assistance.
I am self employed, and have recently started paying myself through QB payroll. I get emails telling me about my total payroll costs, but it seems irrelevant because only the net amount is what has been taken out of the business account AND the same amount is deposited in my personal account. Should the difference be taken from my account and withheld from QB? Or am I supposed to be doing that myself?
Quickbooks is now showing this as two $800 deposit and one -$800 entry (to be assigned to a category)
How do I manually enter checks that are missing from a statement in Quickbooks?
Every month, we have a number of "bill payments" in the form of outstanding checks that haven't been cashed by the vendor who received them. So, when I go to reconcile the month in which they were printed and mailed out, my reconciliation isn't going to balance with what the bank statement says and therefore won't allow me to finish out that particular month. Should I deduct the total amount of outstanding checks against what the bank balance says and use that number as the "Ending Balance" in QBO, or is there a solution that I'm just missing? Thank you in advance for any assistance on the matter!
I use QB Desktop. How do I get detail columns to appear on the reconciliation screen. Currently I only see dollar amounts, but I need to see details such as dates and check numbers.
I am trying to reconcile all last year (2022). I am seeing the transactions on my bank statement but am missing a few in QBO. I cannot find them anywhere. How can i fix this?
I'm reconciling my credit card, and we have different sub-accounts (different cards) for the same BOA credit card. One of the cards had a refund and the monthly balance ended up negative -$100.00. How do I apply the credit since I enter bill after reconciling the subaccounts. 1 BOA CC = $900.001.1 CC x1010 = $1000.001.2 CC x1020 = -$100.00
I'm having an issue with DoorDash and UberEats deposits, I match the sales included with the statement as I from my Undeposited Funds account. My problem is when I do match them and add the merchant commission fee. I still have a balance to resolve and it's a negative. The remaining negative balance matches the report in in our POS portal for third party reports under "Sales Tax". In South Carolina, Third Parties remit sales taxes on our behalf, but I do not know where to record the remaining balance to clear the undeposited funds. Any suggestions on the process would be helpful!
Etsy said that as soon as I create my account it will ask me if I want to connect to Etsy and then send me back to Etsy to confirm. None of that happened.
When trying to import transactions from Suntrust I am getting error code OL 222 for one of the accounts. I have googled an d read and tried everything. What do I need to do to get these transactions into QBs? Can I import a csv? If not - what?
If I link bank cards now, do the records synchronize retroactively?
