I would like to start a first time Bank Reconciliation on an checking account that has been established since 2011. I want to start reconciliation on 01/01/2024 to current. How do I get an open balance to match my open balance on my Bank statement? I will also be doing this for a credit card statement reconciliation. I want to start on 01/01/2024. How do I corrrect the opening balance to start? I am using Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions 24.0 I do not want to do any prior reconciliation before 01/01/2024
Trying to download 3 transactions from 3/3/2025.When I select download, it says no new transactions, but the transactions are not in my register. Please advise. Running QB Desktop Pro.
We had someone use one of a cards to purchase something. it was fraud and we got the credit back. Just wonder how this is usually accounted for. What GL do you put the expense in (the one the expense would normally be for?). and then when we get the money back, we do a deposit int the reverse?
Why is my intuit account on hold
I have QuickBooks desktop. I went to reconcile my statement today and found that somehow QuickBooks has undone the last 6 years of reconciliation's. Now I am about 6 months behind in this task due to having to work in the restaurant instead of the office but I know for certain i have reconciled my QuickBooks every year as I can't send my accountant his copy until this is done. I talked to the support team and they have no idea what to do or how to fix this! Has anyone dealt with this before? We did have to merge my register a few months back because my bank switched to a new online service and QB automatically made a new register the first time I tried to use bank feed. Help Please

I transferred funds between 2 bank accounts using a check and a deposit transaction. These transactions show up as income and expenses on the P&L. I would like these to come off the P&L as they are not income and expenses. I know I can do this using Transfer Funds but a check was physically written and a deposit made at the bank, so how can I record this without deleting the check and deposit and also not recording as income and expense?
I opened by bank reconciliation on my QB MAC desktop 2021. It froze. Now I can't check off any items or reconcile it or close it.
Hi!We have CD account, which we closed out. After the funds were transferred to our checking account, we now show a negative in the CD account on balance sheet. We started with $45,000 in the CD, and then we were deposited back $47,194. Now the balance sheet shows the CD account as -$2194. It seems the profit from the CD has caused a negative on the balance sheet. I just need to get this zeroed out, so the balance sheet has zero for CD account. Thanks for any help!
I sent out a check in Dec 2024. However, the check cleared in 2025. My account says it should be in 2024 General ledger. How do i record it?
Bank feeds failing saying the product is not registeredI have QB Desktop Pro Plus 2024. Have been using banking feeds a while now. Went to import Web connect file, now getting error message that says "You cannot use Bank Feeds because QuickBooks has not been registered. Solution: Go to the help menu and click on Register QuickBooks". The problem is that when I go to the help menu, there is no option to register QB. I have this product registered since I installed it. How can I fix this?
Not sure when this happened but a few issues appeared simultaneously. Several bank accounts show the same, incorrect, account balance in the bank feeds area. When I go in to edit the bank feed settings, I see that the bank user ID now has dashes in it. It will not let me change the bank user ID. When I select "deactivate all online services" I get an error that says "your federal employer identification number (ein) is not valid. Please use format ##-#######" I select ok, and then the error "Invalid Customer ID. Customer ID can only contain alpha numeric characters." So somehow my bank accounts are corrupt. What is the best way to restore them? Thanks!

I have the Connect to Square app and set to summary transfers vs individual sales. when the transfer is uploaded into QB, it dumps the cash total into a clearing account. it does not break out sales, taxes and fees. How do I change this to work correctly?
QB won't let me enter the correct beginning balance. The "wrong" beginning balance minus the reconcile difference off, is $720.29 which is the CORRECT BEGINNING BALANCE IT WON'T LET ME CHANGE TO. Ugh.
My transactions have not synced to my quickbook account since July.
Curious if you can help me. When closing out the year I inadvertently deleted a liability check from 9/6/2024 for Delta Dental in the amount of $287.75, this check had already cleared and been reconciled with the bank account. I am not sure what I was thinking but it has obviously created a mess. Now my beginning bank balance is off by the exact amount for my business bank account. What is the fix here to correct this? I can’t completely close out the 2024 year and be prepared to turn over our books for taxes until this is corrected. I really don't want to go back and undo several months of reconciliations.
My primary checking account shows as connected (lightning bolt present) in the Chart of Accounts, but does not show in the Bank Feeds window. When I go to import the bank feed, it does not give the option to connect it to this checking account, apparently because it thinks that account is already connected.Trying to disconnect by the normal means does not remove the lightning bolt.If I switch the radio button to Activate, and back to Deactivate before I save, the program crashes every time.I have tried Sorting, Verify and Rebuild, etc. to no effect.When I download the IIF file for the chart of accounts, this checking account is NOT LISTED at the bottom with my other accountsI have verified that I have the latest version of QuickBooks desktop Pro Plus 2024.I contacted your support team by phone. I set up a new customer. How do I enter my direct deposit information for the customer to have as payment info. on the invoice so it shows up each time I send an invoice? Have done this for other clients and I can't remember how I did it! Thanks.
Getting error code 103 when trying to connect to Lowes Credit Card. It was fine 6 hours ago and now won't work.
How can you download credit card transactions and maintain the order # a/o the misc trx info in the memo line and still use an alias for the Vendor. i.e.. download airline tickets and have the ticket# in the memo, or the Amazon order # in the memo, or FedEx/UPS tracking in the memo, etc. All this is lost when you opt for an Alias (United Air, Amazon, FedEx, UPS etc) as the vendor. Otherwise you have to create new Vendor for each trx, too lengthy of a process. QBO will keep the credit card transaction info in the download when you use an Alias. Will QB Desk a/o Enterprise do the same? ~ Ann
