How would I record cash being withdrawn from one of our accounts and being stored in bank safe deposit box for emergencies? Credit the bank account and debit misc. expense?

Due to the ongoing issues with Vystar, I tried to manually upload my bank transactions. I downloaded the transactions from Vystar, which came out looking correct. But when I uploaded them into Quickbooks, it seems Quickbooks randomly reassigned positive and negative signs to transaction amounts. I can't fix them in Quickbooks and now my books are so far off and I don't know how to fix it.
Both are on my books but I don't want them to impact profit and loss or tax owed.
Money has been stolen from our QuickBooks account. Currently over 7000.00! We don’t have a way to stop it and don’t have anyone to talk to. What do we do? Need help asapWe just noticed that someone has purchased tickets for 3000 and 4000 on Egyptian airlines. Is there a way to contest those? How do we stop it? How do we get that money back
Please go to your PayPal connection settings to set a fee account. When I try, it does't work. It runs me in circles.Help, thanks.
I was trying to set up E-pay with our current bank account through payroll setup and it kept giving me an error saying " Payroll setup information for the following account couldn't be save: {Account name} (Exception from HRESULT 0x80040A03). So going though the steps to fix it it tells you to deactivate online services by going to the COA right clicking the bank account and clicking on the Bank Feed Settings and clicking Deactivate All Online Services. So I did that. Now when I try to click Activate online Services it will not let me click that, the black dot shows up for a second then the Deactivate All Online Services automatically is selected again and I'm unable to change it. So I can't activate online services and therefore I cannot set up E-Pay through payroll set up. Any help is much appreciated.
If the name on a bill does not match the name on the account paying said bill will this transaction still go through?? I'm trying to find out why a transaction did not work. The bank has no record of anything coming in. the transaction took almost a month to be returned. The routing number is right. the only thing that does not match up is the name on the bill.. it might look like some was using someone else's account to pay their bill. if that is the reason for the returned check??
I believe because it is reconciled, it is currently greyed out, and I can't figure out how to fix it.
When I started reconciling my account, the dreaded QB beginning balance was not matching my bank statement. So I looked up the previous month reconciliation report detail and the report detail with the current changes. I compared the two and found that 4 checks had been, I assumed, deleted. The math made sense and before adding the transactions back into the account, I searched the account for the missing transactions just in case. Well, they showed up and they were cleared. So I have 4 checks that are cleared, yet the reconciliation reports and when trying to perform a reconciliation, is not recognizing them. I duplicated the transactions and deleted the old ones, verified data, rebuilt data, restarted my computer, etc and still QB is showing that they are cleared (check mark in the the check register and it says "cleared" on the check) but at the same time showing that they are not cleared and don't exist basically. I assume this is a glitch. If anyone knows a fix, ple
Original bank deposit is now incomplete and showing in bank feed with bounced check. The multiple invoices have since been paid via credit card through QBO to the wrong bank account. I need to get those funds to show up in other bank?
I just merged to QBO. The other bank connected pulled over 66 transactions from the beginning of the year. Bank of America only pulled 6.
How do I process and deposit a check from a non-customer in QBO?
I am new to quickbooks and trying to assist my mother with some rental properties she owns. Her previous assistant was having us input the credit card expenses into QB as an expense, but she hadn't figured out how to input the cc payment into QB and link it to all of the input expenses. The CC is not linked to the QB account because they don't use it only for business purposes and don't want their personal purchases to accidentally link to the business... I hope this makes sense. Do you have any insight/advise or processes to walk through something like this? Thanks again for your help!! I am feeling totally lost ...
I was finally able to get into bank feeds and have been connected to my bank. The issue is the payee and customer:job drop downs are blank. I was trying to chat with a rep but it didnt help at all. Does anyone else have this issue? There's no issues with my file. I've verified date, rebuilt data. QB Program Diagnostic tool.....not sure what else to do. But the whole reason I upgraded was to be able to use this feature, and others that were not supported anymore on my previous version. So disappointed. Also, when I try to type in Payee name, it says Name already exists.
I am using Quickbooks Nonprofit Edition 2016. I was going to reconcile my bank statement, and when I go to put in the ending balance for the month, I see that it has the wrong date and amount as the starting balance. I see that it has last month's date and balance. Last month I balanced the account, everything was fine, and I printed the reconciliation detail. Today, when I went to begin the process I saw the wrong amount and date and it seems that my previous reconciliation did not save, even though I backed up the file. This is not the first time that this has happened. I find that I have to redo the previous month, but there is a bigger problem here that I need to fix, which is why it is not saving the reconciliations.
QB Team, Excuse my ignorance here, I am a newbie to QB. I would like to record 3 different revenue streams within QB from sources in different industries (song writing, e-commerce, Uber). I am using e-commerce sales and Uber to generate operating capital for my song writing venture. Song writing will take some time to generate its own revenues but eventually will. Do I have to create 3 different companies or just have 3 instances of QB for each industry. If the latter, how can I roll up global reports? Please advise.... Thanks, Tony
Hello,On the left hand side of the Quickbooks app is a "BookMarks" section. If you select the "+" to the right of the word "BookMarks" you can configure what shows up under Bookmarks. As you can see in the attachment I provided the first photo is the default and the second is BookMarks with "Expenses" added. However, every time I log off and back on it reverts back to the default and "Expenses" is gone. Why is it not saving? Thanks.
Using QBs Online -- the non-profit I'm bookkeeping for has 2 previous bank accounts that are showing negative balances in the chart of accounts. Both seem to be fully reconciled as of account closing based on a review of the reconciliation reports. These negative balances are affecting the Statement of Financial position that we are trying to create for a potential auditor. I see that it is possible to inactivate these accounts through the chart of accounts, but it indicates an adjusting transaction will be made and I'm concerned that the adjustment will further confuse the issue. How about simply editing this balance to zero via the chart of accounts? Does this sound reasonable? Thanks,Nanette
Can I Completely remove my last reconcile and redo it
Greetings - I made a deposit of 3 checks into our business checking account which is linked to quickbooks online. Unfortunately, one of the checks was a personal check and wasn't supposed to be deposited in the business account. Is there a way I can exclude a portion of this deposit so my books are correct?
