Quickbooks online now doesn't allow the sales managers role to time track anymore. I have given them hours on the phone to fix this issue, and their "back team" only to have it unresolved. Has anyone heard of an alternative to Quickbooks online they're considering??
Hi Team Meet a problem and seek help. We hired a casual employee in July and promised the payment involves superannuation. But his membership number was found wrong when recording related information. He also got notice and said he would provide the right one after checking. But after processing his salary payment via STP, we no longer receive that, and could not contact him afterward. In this situation, it seems we have no way to launch the payment to his super account. How could we decline that super payable amount accordingly?
Does Quickbooks Payroll support non-qualified Deferred Compensation Plans? If so, how do I set it up in Quickbooks Payroll since I don't see this as an option under "supported retirement plans."

Arkansas has a new withholding table that went into effect October 1, 2022. As of now, Quickbooks has not posted an update for the changes. When will this happen??
I am trying to set up the PTO rules, so employees accrue their PTO correctly. The instructions on how to do this? The instructions are very confusing.
First off, on October 17, 2022 my employer (whom I am the current Controller for) received notice from the municipality that the income/withholding tax rate for their municipality has gone down. I know, I was quite shocked. So, I called the city to ensure that this was correct. We all know that this rarely ever happens. So, I tried to alter the income/withholding tax rate for that municipality but was unsuccessful. I then go to the help menu and ask for a call back from Customer Payroll Support. That agented walked through the same steps I had. Going to the gear, then the Payroll Setting, and trying to alter that municipality with no success. Then the agent creates support case number to change this rate. Given this is a statutory change that goes across the board for all businesses located within the city you would think that this would be done automatically once notified of the change. Not the case. On November 10, 2022 I reached out to support via chat and another case was open
I need a report that has all paychecks for a year listed with the following information: the employee name, hours worked and gross pay for each pay period in a year. Ex: Employee Pay Date Gross Wages HoursJane Doe 1/1/2020 450.00 22.5 Jane Doe 1/8/2020 460.00 23James Doe 1/1/2020 500.00 25James Doe 1/8/2020 500.00 25 Any way to do this without copying and pasting several reports together?
Past employees are in as terminated yet they still show up in the drop down list of employee names in weekly timesheets. How can this be fixed. Very time consuming sifting thru names.
I missed my direct deposit deadline and had to write manual checks for payroll. A vendor processed a large payment early which caused one of the payroll checks to be returned NSF. Luckily it was my check that was returned so our employees weren't affected but I am not sure how to handle this when doing my account reconciliation. The bank took the funds out one day and returned (redeposited) them NSF with an NSF fee the next day. Do I void the check and reissue it or do I have to create a journal entry with the Fed/SS/Medicare/etc deductions reversed? How do I enter the redposit of funds into the business account on the following day? Thanks!Jen
Hi: is anyone having trouble exporting a single Fed.Payment to QB for Mac Desktop? I noticed every time I export the payroll checks and other Government payments just one single payment is not transferred to QB Mac desktop.
I've searched several times for this and the amount seems to change per answer. I was hoping to get a definitive answer like 20% of profits or 10% of gross for example. I know for an S-Corp you have to pay yourself a salary because that's what pays your taxes. I just am not sure the amount you have pay for salary. If the business is not doing well for example, can you skip a month or do you have to pay every month. Thanks!
I am using QB Premier desktop with manual payroll. We use our local bank's payroll service to transfer the money via EFT. An employee received a raise and I changed the employee's annual earnings amount in the employee's profile. However, when I do the accounting for payroll, the amount in the paycheck detail remains the same old, lower amount. Note: I changed the earnings amount and am doing the accounting after the date of the payroll.
submitted pay roll on Thursday it hasent gone through
I need copies of last four quarters of 941's filed for an insurance audit

Hello all, I have a situation with the month of October Payroll. The payroll was completed and all the direct deposits went through, but when I went to pull a report the payroll was not showing in the class/customer, I was listed under "Not Specified". How do I move it from Not Specified to the class/customer that it should have been posted to? Thank you
