What is the journal entry to be made when a Payroll Liabilities is cleared? Once the Payroll liabilities was cleared, I was refunded the payment by HMRC as this wasn't needed (tax code change), but the amount is sitting as a credit on the HMRC account. How can I record this so it shows I have a supplier (HMRC) credit? I've been stuck on this for a long time, any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Like the idea of having everything in one place under QB online. Moved accounts over last year from Sage 50 to QB online and have looked back. Now reviewing doing the same with payroll. We have 4 full-time staff on basics pay and monthly sales commission and 2 part-time staff paid on the hour.1 staff has a student loan repaymentwe are signed up to Nest for pensions and 2 staff contribute.We pay monthly by BACS Where would QB payroll not work for us?
This month i have added two deductions and one bonus via variable input. There is an amount on the credit side of the journal that equates to the two deductions which i have put in the account 'other payroll deductions'. However as the net pay is correct when i create the payroll expense the 'other payroll deductions' isn't cleared. I will attach some screenshots to see if that helps. Thank you in advance.
I'm using Quickbooks Online and just changed bank account. I've added the new account into Quickbooks and uploaded statements manually, all fine. However, when I ran payroll yesterday Quickbooks put the salaries as coming out of the old account. I cannot see a way to select which account payroll uses, can any one help?
The more i use quickbooks online, the more i hate this product.Why does the search icon, when searching for a transaction of £2.78 not show up in the search results, when i can clearly see it in the transaction list? I have been searching for transactions to ensure i dont enter the same thing twice, since i have downloaded my bank statement as well as a credit card. I searched for some transactions but some it found, and not others. The ones it didnt find i assumed i had not entered in another way. Now i try to find £2.78 and it says it cant find it, but i can clearly see it in the list of expenses under banking. I have many other issues like this, but dont want to dilute this issue
