We have a requirement to regularly import customers and then invoices from another database systemI have the csv files fine tuned and the customers import OK. However the 'Display As' field in the customer record defaults to the Contact Name i.e. 'Fred Bloggs' instead of the Company i.e. 'F Bloggs Ltd', which I would of thought would be infinitely more sensible. As a result the invoice import cannot find a corresponding customer. We have to manually go into every imported customer (can be up to 100 at a time) and change the 'Display As' to the company. The invoice import the goes through OK. Can this be changed? Is there an quick way to change the 'display as' default? Many ThanksRoger
HiI'm trying to create a report that contains, amongst other things, the date that our client opened their account with us. Within "Customer Snapshot" it gives me the number of years as a customer, however what I really need is the date the account was opened or the date of the first invoice raised.Please could somebody advise? Thanks!Chris
Hi, I had put in all my receipts etc for 2020-2021, and have just gone on to complete and everything seems to have disappeared. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you get it all back? Thanks in advance. Gary

It doesn't happen every single time but it is always while I am mid-typing in Quickbooks, usually in the description area of an invoice, and it then stops my keyboard working everywhere else - I have to restart the computer to use it again. My browser is Chrome.
How do I enter retention claimed on a contractor's invoice? This retention is in relation to the monies retained by us, as the developer, from the contractor during work in progress stage. At practical completion of the construction the contractor requests release of retention monies.
Hello, I am transferring over to Quickbooks and i have added my suppliers through the import data section however it has put the suppliers personal name in the 'Display name as' instead of the business name, is there anyway i can change this without going into each individual supplier ( i have around 500 suppliers) and changing it manually? Hsbc kinetic doesn't appear in the bank account list so I'm unable to connect. I have tried connecting to quickbooks from the kinetic app and is shows I'm connected in the hsbc app but not in the quickbooks

Hi when matching my bank transaction from card payments I need to categorise them and split the separate vat amounts but also categorise gratuities that are received via card payments. How do I do this?!
My Quickbooks Self Employed is very messed up and I can't access my account! When I log in it takes me to some completely different dashboard (see screenshot). If I click anything on this dashboard it displays the following message: "QuickBooks Online NeededYou need a QuickBooks Online subscription to access this page" I called Quickbooks Online Support who did a screen share and very kindly verified that I was doing everything correctly, and that this definitely isn't my QBSE dashboard. Unfortunately they couldn't help me any further as there's no official phone support for QBSE. So she wished me luck and said I should try getting help on Twitter, Facebook, or the Quickbooks Community... so here I am. Windows 10 QB Desktop Premier 2020 user. I have an external USB drive, mapped to a drive letter. Not used for anything QuickBooks. Now that I run QB Desktop (since recently) I can no longer eject this USB drive, probably any time after reboot once I have run QB. I get Windows error "a program is using this device, go close it". I used Task Manager and Event Viewer to discover that it is the QB Windows service "QBCFMonitorService" which is holding this drive open. I killed the process and, lo and behold, I can now eject the drive. This is very irritating! Please remember, I have exited QB Desktop, and neither QB data nor executable resides on this drive. 1. Does anyone know what I can do to prevent this locking/holding open of whatever on an unrelated drive? 2. Hi,I have an active QuickBooks Online subscription via Apple iTunes, I can confirm this with order numbers/my company number if needs be. I can only log into my account via the iPad iOS app presently, met with a read-only access version.I can't log in to desktop or my android app on my phone - an error comes up saying my trial has run out and I need to subscribe. Please can somebody advise how to restore full access to my account across my devices? Live chat says it's Apple that needs to do it, I am waiting on Apple Support's response. Many thanks.
