I am trying to reconcile my accounts for the first time. I have put my invoices in and they are marked as paid and deposited. But in the reconcile window I have two deposits one relating to the invoice and one from the bank feed . How do I sort this out?

My business is a partnership with a 50/50 profit share. Last year (first year trading) we made a loss of 4165.33 so we now have a retained earnings balance of -4165.33.I'm trying to create a journal to distribute this loss between both partners equity accounts but I can't get my head around which accounts to credit and debit.Any help would be much appreciated!
The new Trips feature is a great improvement on the old Mileage one. But I don't get what the dates are for the 'fiscal year' shown by default? It doesn't correspond to the company's financial year. What is a 'fiscal year'? It's good that we can customise the date selection now, but it's a bit laborious. It would be easier if we had options like in other reports, for 'this financial year', 'last financial year' etc, so we can quickly select the year we want. Or at least remember the last selection used, so we don't have to re-select the company's financial year manually each time.
I have QBO provided via my accountant and I want to track mileage. On Android the mileage feature is part implemented - it gathers mileage but doesn't give me access.It seems that the Accountant is the Master Admin, and he can see my mileage, but doesn't do any himself course. I am Admin, and I can't manage mileage (unless it happens to pop-up), even though it is me doing the mileage. This seems utterly misconceived.... There is a data protection issue here: My accountant can track my movements any time I have location enabled and I have no control over that data. I have now mileage tracking control in the App. #### THIS IS ILLEGAL #### So, I must close down my existing account (supplied by the Accountant), and take out a new subscription myself. Hi I a the director or a 1 person ltd company and new to quickbooks.I was given DWP JSA payments during lockdown as i was classed vulnerabls. How do I categorise this on quickbooks - is it sundry income, other revenue or something else?

Hi thereSo, ive just followed the instructions to upload my bank statements (as my bank account won't allow me to direct feed into Quickbooks - Natwest Bankline), and I only seem to get four columns under quickbooks for date, narrative, credit debit. My problem is, Natwest CSV file has three columns for narratives which I really need all to get onto Quickbooks. Is there a simply way to do this or am I stuck with just the mandatory 4 columns. Does anyone else bank with Natwest Bankline and have you managed to direct feed into Quickbooks?Thanks so much

My company recently had a Quickbooks data file crash due to an immense amount of corrupted data. When they restored from backups, large sections of historical data were missing. After paying Quickbooks to do a rebuild of our database, they were able to restore pretty much everything up to about a month ago. As we still have the backups from right up to before the crash, I was able to create another restored database from the most recent backup made right before Quickbooks support began their rebuild, and can see the missing months data in the corrupted restored file, but the only way I can find to move it over seems to require the Accountant version of Quickbooks, and we have the version specific to our industry, which is the Manufacturing and Wholesale version. Is this the only way to get the data transfered?
Hi All, can't find a way of doing except for ALL time sheets - I'm Using Advanced PayrollWhat I have isGroup 1 Employees who work for a client and their week begins on a Saturday and runs to Friday. the client pays on this basis.Group 2 employees work for a different client and their week begins on a Monday and runs to Sunday, the client also pays on this basis. I can see that I could change to use Single-Time activity billable to customer, but I'm not certain that this will change the timesheet that my employee sees and fills in. Also not sure that it won't change ALL timesheets to start on a Monday, which means that all Group 1 employees then have a problem as their working week doesn't match the clients. I have just upgraded to 2020 Pro Desktop from 2014 Pro. I had a pre-existing issue that I hoped would be resolved by verifying the company DB on the upgrade. However the issue still exists as follows:There are two items in Pay Bills from 2013 and before that are redundant and need deleting. They do not relate to any oustanding transactiosn and if I try to pay them the TB gets thrown out of balance (144CR and 108DR are paid as a single amount of 252, and a new single amount of 504 appears in Pay Bills). I then have to restore from backup.Is there an easy way to remove these redundant items from Pay Bills?Thanls for your help.
When downloading invoices the pdf has a different number to that on the invoice.The downloaded file has a name as djQ6OTEzMDM0NjY1ODY4MTcwNjovdHJhbnNhY3Rpb25zL1RyYW5zYWN0aW9uOg:4195.pdfThis creates a PDF 4195, even though the invoice is 2103.Each downloaded invoice consistently keeps the same last 4 numbers so how do I re-link the real numbers to the invoice pdf. numberInterestingly this does not happen if you download the invoice from the customer link. I've started using the mileage tracking feature for a couple of clients and have a few Q's: I don't understand the view by year across the top (2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, custom). I've entered journey data from 1/10/10 to 30/4/20 and they all show under '2019'. Is this financial year or calendar year? Neither way makes sense, as the client's financial year is 1/4/19 to 31/3/20. Why is the date field so exacting? You have to type the date in exactly right or it just enters the journey at today's date. Other areas of QBO can work out that if you type, say, 1/3/20 I mean 01/03/2020. It doesn't even stop and give you an error message if the date is 'invalid', it just uses today's date??!! Why aren't there any reports, e.g. mileage by financial year, so you can reconcile the accounts? The CSV download just downloads everything! On one client, I can't access mileage at all, only the download option. I can't add or correct journeys. Is this a permissions thing? Thanks
Hi Probably a noob question which I can't see answered elsewhere. I have started to use QB, with an established business - I'm entering data from 01/01/19 to get the hang of it all (we are a very small VAT registered business) I've imported all the bank statements, and it all makes (sort of) sense. Our VAT returns are quarterly - Jan-March etc... My problem is that in Jan 2019 we received a cheque for the Q3 2018 VAT return and in Feb 2019 we paid a VAT bill for Q4 2108. I have no idea how to enter these two (presumably into VAT suspense account), so that it all balances out - as QB has no record of our VAT accounts prior to me first starting to use it (Q1 2019) - and so the 'Taxes' menu doesn't help me at all As you can tell - I'm not an accountant.... basic assistance would be welcome! I am having a problem with my invoicing. I send a complete invoice with the correct details on. But when my client opens it, half the information is no longer there. This has happened with the same client on 3 occasions now. However, I have in the past this has been no problem at all. Please can you advise on how to fix this?

Hello! Could someone please advise a shipping management app for QB Online UK?We send out orders mostly by UPS, sometimes Royal Mail.Need the following functions:1. Ability to create & print shipping labels from QB.2. Automatic assigning of tracking nr to order / invoice and ability to see the delivery status from QB.3. Automatic import of shipping bills into QB (a real pain to work through several hundred UPS bills by hand).4. Ability to get reports on deliveries by client / territory (i.e. get a list of orders / invoices sent / delivered / currently in transfer.5. Ability to run reporst / analyses of costs of shipments by client / item sold / territory would be a very nice bonus.

There is no option to unsubscribe either as all emails (including this thumbs up email) are specifically marked with "This message was sent to you to inform you of a critical matter." at the bottom. Getting a feedback rating in my mind is not critical, nor was the email advising me how to 'create an invoice'. A critical matter would be, hey, all your money is leaving your account or hey, y
