Hello,How can I get rid of the annoying "Set Up Guide" at the top of my dashboard? I have completed all tasks, each one is green with a tick. I have even repeated most of the tasks to make sure it was done correctly. Why is this still stuck at 40%?Thanks

We have received a “benefit in kind tax statement” to input which is something we receive if we sell one of their products. Can anyone advise me where I put it! Is this considered to be commission?
Hi. I'm using QB's self -employed. I started my business in August and was employed through PAYE up to that point. I don't seem to be able to add details from my P45 in terms of income earned & tax already paid to give me an accurate tax liability figure. Anyone know how to enter this information?
My client paid a bill for someone else. How do I track this in QBO. I am used to desktop where we can enter the bill as an accounts receivable. Thanks for your insights
I’m attempting to migrate from QB Desktop to Online, we’re based in Ireland and despite following the migration instructions meticulously we’ve not been successful. This is the failure notice:‘We’re sorry. We couldn’t import your company file into QuickBooks Online. Sometimes this happens if there’s an issue with the data in your company file. Most often you can fix import issues by rebuilding the data file and then restarting the export process.’ However I’ve noticed that in QB Online, it’s only possible to have a UK company address, the county field is pre-populated with UK counties and Irish postcodes are rejected. Since the desktop version has the company address in the correct Irish format, with Irish counties and postcode, is it possible that this is causing the failure to import? The licence has been purchased from a QuickBooks Partner based in Dublin.
We're a UK company with various foreign exchange bank accounts. When we run a balance sheet report the foreign exchange bank accounts are stated in GBP. What i need is a report i can run that shows the foreign exchange bank accounts in their local currency at a point in time. For example we have a Canadian dollar account. The account balance is $170 at month end but the balance sheet shows £100 ($170 converted to GBP). I need a report to show $170. The only report that comes close to this is the 'account list' report, however that report shows the balance right now and you cannot set a date. at the moment I've having to go into the chart of accounts into each FX account to view the month end balance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have used QB desktop for about 14 years so have a lot of historical data. I am going to move to online but there is too much data to migrate over. How do I delete data from, say 10 years, so that I can covert at least some of my historical data?
We take client deposits and are obligated to transfer them to a client. When we buy materials on a client's behalf we draw down on these deposits transferring them back to our current account prior to purchasing the materials.It would, therefore, be useful if we could see transfers in the Transaction list for a Project to make to easy to keep track of the remaining deposit balance.
Hi, just started using QB online and am having a problem inputting stock items. The problem is to do with the 'Name' field. I have an engineering business and for example, I might sell 50 different types of gaskets with different part numbers. So, I've been trying to input different gaskets in the stock control section and have tried using the word 'Gasket' in the name field, the part number in the 'Item/Service Code field and lets say 'Water pump gasket, in the 'description' field. The problem is it won't let me use the same name, again lets say 'gasket' in multiple entries. So, how do list multiple items with the same generic name, 'Gasket' or 'Spark Plug' but with different part numbers?Sorry if this sounds a bit basic but any help much appreciated.Thanks

Hello.I can't download QB invoices (i.e. subscription charges from QB to me) from Payment History.I go to Payment History, click "Download to PDF", it says "loading" and then nothing happens. I have checked in "downloads" of the browser (Chrome BTW), permitted pop-ups from intuit.comAlso - I have no problem printing invoices or other documents from QB - they just open as a new tab in browser.
Does anyone else have a problem in that the fields for the tax reports and estimation are coming up completely empty for the previous tax year, and current tax years?
I am working on a MacBook Pro and using either Safari or Chrome I hit the same problem. Occasionally receipts snapped on my mobile do not attach themselves to the right transaction so I have to do it manually. For some reason I now can't do this - either via drag and drop or via the browse option. Does anyone have a solution for this - otherwise I have to save all the unattached receipts in a separate folder on my desktop to send separately to the accountant.ThanksChristine
I started working with an accountant in January who provided me with access to QBO as part of what was intended to be a comprehensive monthly service offer for my business which is a new venture. Over the last seven months it has become clear that my business is not a good fit for their practice and I want to part company with them. I have tried to discuss this with them but unfortunately they don't seem to be able to give the matter any attention at all. I suspect this is because they have longer standing clients that have required more attention because of the Covid pandemic. I am very sympathetic to this but the lack of attention to my business is becoming a real problem for my business so I must do something about it. How do I take control of the QBO subscription and my existing data myself so that I have the freedom to instruct a new accountant?
I currently use QB Self Employed for my sole trader business. Now starting a separate business as a partnership, 50/50 with two of us. My questions are as follows; 1. Which QB online subscription handles profit allocation for partnerships? 2. How do I ensure that only our drawings are reported as (taxable) and any money left in the business at year end is not all taxed? the reason I ask this is that in the first year, the other partner is unlikely to hit the threshold to pay any tax, so I need to know how to allocate this properly in the software. Apologies, I am not sure even I understand my own question 2.
